Sir, I have called almost all spare room number in Hertfordshire, in-fact it made me feel I have a skill in customer relations. I may want to try a career in that later but for now, getting an accommodation is the most important thing for us now, spent close to 400pounds on hotel, airbnb is kinda useless around this side too. Helpp ooooooooooo. We are getting exhausted sincerely.

I have been staying in hotel with huge charge almost close to a week with my wife, we can’t even cook . All my tastebud don spoil... I haven’t seen good affordable room for couple in the whole of Hertfordshire even tho I upped my budget to 750pounds to 800pounds. We are getting depressed already ooo. Wetin make I do like this. What’s the implication of getting single room but double bed for couple as we don tire already. I’m at Stevenage currently. What can I do?

Not sure that person had actually purchased PTA that way. I believe he/ she was advising based on CBN's directives which Banks don't necessarily adhere to.
I went to 3 different banks to ask if I could use a one way ticket and my student visa to get PTA and they all said NO. So I was forced to buy a return ticket just so that I could get PTA. When I calculated the cost of changing at black market vs buying a return ticket, it made more economic sense to buy a return ticket. The good thing is one can use the ticket up to one year after purchase.

I really would advise anyone that wants PTA to just buy a return ticket.

Pls how long does it take them to process it and also did you registered via the cbn platform?

Avoid EMIRATES at all cost imagine my flight for this week has been cancelled and I was advised to get a refund , wch would prolly take abt 20 working days. They claimed Nigerian govt did not meet up with thier requirements as regards testing and labs at the airports, that they want 6hrs pre departure pcr test results

I won't advice anyone to fly Emirates because of their on-off issues with the Nigerian govt.
Egypt air is always misplacing luggage.. and they don't compensate black Africans if they misplace your luggage and their cabins smell funny but atleast you will sha reach your destination.

Try Qatar, Ethiopian or Turkish.
If you have extra change, go with BA or virgin

Thanks I will be on the look for when Qatar is cheap cos it’s over 600k for the day I intend to travel.

Egyptair is good. You'd probably have at least a 12-hour-layover at Cairo, they'd put you in a hotel and feed you.

I actually just gave it a shot as I had a pending issue with Canada and didn’t expect much.

For prospective applicant, pls try to be straightforward in your application. Cutting corners and getting caught do comes with a huge cost.

But I was having issues paying my visa/ihs fee till it was successful in Dec 8. But I have already started filling my visa application before my visa/ihs became successful. So I printed my POF in Dec 9 which covers the duration from Nov 9 - Dec 8 (30 days) because I wanted the visa/ihs fee to reflect in my bank statement. I uploaded my docs including POF in Dec 10. I hope I am safe o.

You’re are safe because it’s 30days POF however, making ihs and visa fee payment reflect on pof is unnecessary and just a waste of your time.

Depends on institution. You can search for schools that offers nursing and check their entry requirements. You may be lucky to get what you seek.

If someone wants to do Biometrics on 6th of Jan for example because POF will be ready on the 5th is it advisable for them to start the online application today so as to get biometrics date then pay for walk in. Or do you advise they wait until the 5th to do the online app, get appointment date and then pay for walk in and submit on the 6th?

Instead of this.... you can fill the application form before 6th but don’t pay your ihs and visa fee yet. Pay on the 6th when your pof is ready and you can opt for walk-in service on the 7th. It comes with additional charge tho.

I wish I had known this before waiting for a long time to apply for Biometrics Thank you for this insight. Strathclyde gave CAS the same day my sister's tuition fees was confirmed but I waited 28 days before submitting her visa application. I just like the school because it is more organised and highly ranked in UK.

Have your pof ready before you pay for ihs and visa. Don’t let anyone confuse you on this bro. They count date based on application submission not biometrics.

I opted for self service and have uploaded all my documents, problem is Firstly I forgot to upload my CAS letter and proof of funds will expire on the 16th Jan whereas my my biometrics is on the 6th Jan

1. Is it compulsory to upload my CAS letter
2. Should I print another bank statement, probably till February to prevent it from expiring in their hands

Upload your cas.. you can do that by paying for assisted service (11700naira) to upload the remaining doc. May not be necessary but don’t take chances.
You don’t need to reprint your statement of account since it is the valid, just make sure the funds are there.

Let’s be careful of what we post on public forum. Trust me, some info shared publicly without reasoning about the aftermath might hurt other incoming or prospective applicant. We know the requirements of applying for study visa. Yes we do but any illegal tips and tricks should be kept personal and off global forum such as this. It works for you doesn’t mean it will work for others, you weren’t caught doesn’t mean others won’t be especially when the tips and tricks can be assessed easily.
That’s the reason most people are afraid of pof border check at least we are giving them the reasons for further checks. If they do many people will be affected most financially and emotionally. The race isn’t for the weak.
