Assuming the translation is correct (which its not, the capital G should be small g, it should read the word was a god, satan is also called god in the Bible yet they give him a small g, but for Jesus a capital!) then what we have here is Jesus who is the word is called God, wow I guess Jesus is God then right?! You see, my first question to the Christian is this, is this Jesus speaking? The answer is no, this is NOT Jesus speaking! This is supposedly the disciple John writing this here not Jesus! So what we have is an interpretation of what one man thought! Why cant Christians get us Jesus saying in the beginning the word was with God and the word was God, why didn’t Jesus ever say this?! So Christians now want us to believe Jesus is God because of what a man said? A man’s interpretation! The Bible itself testifies that the disciples often miss-understood Jesus and didn’t understand him!
So John 1:1 does not prove anything, it is not Jesus speaking, and the Gospel of John itself shows Jesus is not God from the very words of Jesus himself!

I think the football part to an extent is a SIN because football is very addictive and anything that is addictive to a human is a sin because it can divert your attention and your love for God. and we know that God is a jealous God. he does not like to share your love for him with anyother thing. Alot of people miss church just to watch football. Is that not a sin in itself already?
