Hmmm...seems like it gets more complicated by the day. I thought dropshipping was less complex and hence might not need an LLC but alas I was wrong.

I actually have my Dubai address tho but I'm not there at the moment and besides UAE isn't a supported country.

Another question, is it possible to use someone else's LLC or EIN for the dropshipping?

For you to use a US based store which is a must for Amazon dropshipping, you need a us based card or a us PayPal.
To get a card billed on a us based address, you need an ein of an LLC or ssn. As a non us resident, getting an ssn is almost impossible.
To get an ein, you need to have a us LLC. You can see the connection now.

As for Amazon FBA, you can do without an LLC. You only need a supported country address and your payoneer, that's all.
Eg if I have a Dubai address to be used on both payoneer and Amazon accounts, I can easily do FBA since my sourcing store is mostly from China using mostly alibaba or aliexpress.

Nigerian phone number is accepted but a us address or non-nigerian address is needed. The address on the payoneer and the Amazon have to match for it to work.

For example, you can use a Niger address (country) and get an ID from there and use the same on both accounts but use your local real number for Amazon.

I knew that long ago bro. But I don't want to pay that shopify fees when there is an option to do what you just said free. Yes, there is a platform that is free to use and sell tees, mugs, phone cases, face cap, pillow cases etc. However, there is a challenge on the platform - one need Amazon seller account and getting an Amazon seller account is challenging as they (Amazon) don't allow Nigerians to sell on there platform. I'm already working on ways to get Amazon seller account. While I'm working on that, I applied for merch and waiting for approval. I'm actually tacling these white people bro. No. You cannot use a paypal personal acct for ecommence store. Get a paypal business acct. and link it to your store. If your store is successful, you will be handling many orders/day and a paypal personal acct. is not meant for such transactions.

Here's how to receive and fulfill orders in Dropshipping as a Nigerian.

step 1- apply for payoneer card (after receiving your card, activate, and fund with $100

step 2- login to your payoneer card account dashboard and click on the card details and you will see a USA /UK Bank Account link to your card. copy out the details.

step 3- go to stripe.com and register using any UK address from Google and the Bank details from payoneer card account. your stripe account will be active.

step 4- link your stripe account to your shopify store or shopify. build your store.

step 5-use same payoneer card to pay for order fulfillment on amazon or Alixpress. by this you are turning the wheel. because stripe will transfer your earnings from sales into your USA Bank Account attached to payoneer card and you can use same payoneer card to fulfill orders.


advice : always use facebook first as traffic source because of definite targeting. go for passionate niches. always outsource order fulfillment or use software.

note : you need at least $200 as capital to start.

Amazon fba or Dropshipping is allowed because I verified mine with my Nigerian phone number and address.
You need a payoneer card and use the banks registered on the card. You can also use https://transferwise.com to move the money to your Nigerian bank account in naira.
The payoneer will be used for purchasing in dollars.

I am not into anyone yet. Still putting my stuff together to start Amazon dropshipping. From observation, I think Amazon dropshipping is more profitable than shopify. I might be wrong though.

Amazon dropshipping is different from shopify dropshipping.

With shopify, you order from aliexpress and sell on your shopify store. You only need money for small subscriptions here and there.

Amazon dropshipping involves buying from popular US stores and selling on Amazon. With Amazon dropshipping, you need huge cash because a client pays you money and the money remains in your Amazon account, and this money must remain in your Amazon account for 14 days before being released to you. So, you have to use your own money to fulfill orders pending when Amazon releases your funds.

Visit the OP's thread about dropshipping, on the first page of the thread, watch the videos there, you will understand how Amazon dropshipping works. It is different from shopify dropshipping.

With shopify dropshipping, buyers have to wait for close to 2 to 3 weeks for their orders to be shipped from China. While with Amazon, the US stores ship almost immediately to buyers since they are in the same location.
