lomaxx: Good evening everyone.
Straight to the point. In all my years of med school, I must say this is the only place I've both been appreciated for my efforts into ensuring we all succeed. One would assume that the medical students in my school would be primary beneficiaries, but that's story for another day.
Some weeks ago, I discovered some textbooks in Internal Medicine and Surgery that will certainly make your journey in Clinicals very easy. They're very straight to the point and contain relevant details that will be required of you. This would be the only place I will give those books to anyone.
Send me a pm using your mail to request for them, and I'll forward it to those interested. Fitsaintbig@gmail.com Thanks |

brostch: Interesting! In ABU zaria, introduction to clinical courses starts in 300l 2nd semester. Amazing! In UI, Ibadan, we finish anatomy, physiology and biochemistry in 200L Start integrated posting in 300L( preclinical stuffs and their clinical applications) Write part 1 MB in 300L 1st semester Start clinicals in 300L 2nd semester That is the new curriculum |

Health › Re: Baby Born In Yobe With His Heart Outside The Body by AmbFitsaint(m): 1:12pm On Jun 06, 2016 |
ZORO47: this seems unreal for a couple of reasons. 1, ectopic organs should exist in other body cavities rather than the places where they are originally found. I've never heard of ectopic organs being found outside all body cavities. 2, the sheer size of the heart of that neonate looks unreal. The heart is almost as big as the child's head, whereas hearts are compared with the fistof the individual. 3, if indeed the heart was outside the body cavity throughout the time of development in-utero, how does such a child survive a 9 month period in the womb without dying of septicaemia or infection from the normal flora of the uterine environ.? 75% of my brain is telling me this is photoshop :-/ if its actually real, then quick recovery to you baby It is not photoshopped. I streamed the vidoe The baby's heart is not as big as depicted in the picture. The embryology of is not far fetched. The lateral wallls fail to fuse, the septum transversum also didn't join other diaphragmatic counterparts The fetal heart optimised the hiatus and scaled through it to become external The fetal circulation still remained uncompromised The amniotic fluid is quite innocuous cos the placenta does the toxic exchange and provides enough immunity to prevent the babies from infections via the maternal IgG Another thing that baffles me the likelihood of compression of this heart during parturition due to the tight birth canal which could harm this fragile organ The baby is just lucky to still be alive- I believe God to perfect the miracle |

dapsondou: LOL Yeah I need time but not 6 months. And I don't think distinction will be based on our final exams alone. Tests will have their say too. That your comment about physiology dept got me laughing Heard your gist oooo BTW. |

dapsondou: Vincent! God forbid Shey u don't pray for more time to gather the extraneous momentum for MB ni? The more the time we spend with our "girlfriends", the more the likelihood of stealing a distinction(one is not bad) from the stinging baes. They shouldn't remain a virgin in our set at least that cunning physiology fond of slying good-looking anf industrious guys |

sarzy: How come you got mbbs in both schools? Abi no be Jamb u do? So you filled both as first choice or how come? Cos none would accept candidates who choose them as second choice.
Yea, tougher to get into because I've seen so many students who applied to UI but couldn't get their courses. They eventually applied to UI and got their courses. I know at least 3 from 2014 set. Quite agreeable tho Have u forgotten that Jamb used to allow 2 choices of institutions Oau was my 1st choice UI 2nd UI admits 2nd choice very well bro |

Education › Re: Oau College Of Health Science VS University Of Ibadan College Of Medicine by AmbFitsaint(op): 5:42am On Feb 18, 2016 |
sarzy: You are right bro. But OAU is tougher to gain admission into. Besides, when you are talking about facilities, UCH also has its defects. As a matter of fact, all Nigerian teaching hospitals lack in facilities. Come to think of it; last year, MB Part 1 students of UI were asked to write a project on Stem Cell Research and Application in Medicine. Do you know that only Uniben has a stem cell transplant centre in Nigeria? Therefore, definitely, the students would have to rely on theory. Tougher to get into? May be sha... But don't u think UI admits the best numerically. I am saying cos I got Mbbs in both schools and I have a lot of friends in Oau too in med but my close ones here are badoo oo |

taiocol: Tell me more about anatomy. Just got admitted to study that course We don't have anatomy as a dept in my college. Nevertheless, as a medic, that is what I read most times cos of its bulky nature. We have gross anatomy, histology, embryology and neuroanatomy. We finished all within a time duration of 9 months. It is still the most interesting course to deal with BTW if u embrace it well Guys in basic sciences should know better dear |

It is easier to make a distinction in anatomy than in physiology in my school. Is it the same in yours?

Been waiting for a series of hours now and still no new confirmatory mail. What could be wrong?
I think guys who are stuck with submitting their application must have unwittingly submitted and datz y u can't submit again.
Also, how feasible and wise to create another account and start all over with new mails, new Mtn no.and new dyaccount as a way of salvaging one's mistake in d former application?
