kolidave: lmaooooooo na true sha. Buh hope una case no go turn to ASUU and fg caseLolz. Dis one go para. As we won't mind boycotting lectures, tests nd exams if our demands are not met. |
Aladelokun: how can you say 'no hard feeling' I had a junior then in my sec. sku and now do you mean he will be in my class. Anyway, all is well. No hard feeling and Amb, how about the OAU stuff you once mention here. Have you jettison that for Eksu? and as at last year, only 35 students moved to 200 level out of 50 to the college of medicine and this current level 1 are about 70 + the merging peeps...how will the game be?Abt d game, av u watched royal rumble? Lolz it's going to be clash of d titans boss. I think coll of medicine will av to augment d numbers of medic dat will move on to be sophomores in d college as we now av over 80 medics in 100 level. Abt OAU's, she don gimme d admission dis year effortlessly by God's grace nd will. |
Amb Fitsaint: Thanks. It's just a trivial blunder. Posted dat in d heat of d moment |
tunlex01: sessionThanks. It's just a trivial blunder. Posted dat in d heat of d moment |
kolidave: Lol. This is funny oooo. See freshers they tell jambites say them be seniorsNo be so. Abi we no senior dem ni. Don't u know 9ja folks, d newly admittted ones will start asking dia seniors(female ones) out, as in. I think we av to stage a protest. It's unfair. I personally think d management must meet 3 conditions b4 we acquiesce in d ill-advised merging. 1. D new ones must not date d old ones. If dey must av inamoratas, dey shud be on pull with demselves. 2. D new ones must always use bro nd sister appellations when approaching us. 3. Matriculation of d old ones must be befitting with foods galore( oozles of cows nd goats be slaughtered, bags of rice et all) While d new ones may do dia matriculation with cabin biscuit nd pokipoki. If dese are met by d skul management, i bear d new ones no grudge. How do u think? |
kolidave: lol no worry, the seniority will reflect in your certificates, different year will be put there. Lecturers might even favour the old set more than the newAbt d reflection, it does not count at all. I concur with lecturers( hinges on dem tho) giving us preferential treatment cos it's a way of compensating us. I think i will av to customize my T' shirts with 100 level 2012/2013 section. Lolz If d newly admitted ones grow wings, we know what to do to prevent dem from being orgulous nd impudent. |
We don enter am truly oh.how are we going to compete with them cos even if they start lectures afresh it will be like a revision to them cos they have been taught before.
If ur NL's sobriquet had been mummy's gurl, I wud av personally offered u a resounding tutorial complimentarily * Tongue in cheek*. @ d newly admitted jambites, we ve not done much in phy103,chm 101 nd others, we re yet to commence GST's lectures. With dis, u guys will catch up with dogged diligence. On behalf of us ur seniors, we don't mind giving u tutorials if u deem it worthy. U just av to pay 100k per week for all courses, watch our clothes nd prepare our foods. Lolz |
Anuoluwap: They don merge una with the current 100l. Lol...if you check the screening letter it was stated there that "resumption for 200-500 level students will be out in due time." Now, the question is why didn't they write resumption for 100-500level students? Can you now see clearly that we don enter am?Chai! U ve said it all dude. U don enta am. Gumption wud tell a doubting thomas dat merging is not just probable, it's certain. It's unfair sha. As in, d newly admitted ones are now in d same level with us. I hope u guys give us due respect by calling us senior Fitsaint, snr lescott, snt adedokun, et all. Lolz, A year is not a joke. No hard feelings! |
Greetings to everyone. With d recent development in d eksu, do u think eksu will merge d newly admitted jambites with us? We in 100 level re yet to be matriculated, we are yet to write any official semester test or exam. I hasten to know wheda lectures will av to start afresh again. Thanks. |
Johnsinia: tell the lecturer that if he fails to show up his ugly face on or b4 Dec 4th, he will be fired and thrown out of the university community. Tell him that e go do am like india movie. As much as I don't advocate dis strike action. Firing lecturers won't mitigate d pathetic state of our universities. Not even in a country dat we have paucity nd dearth of qualified lecturers. It will rather encumber the snag @ hand if dey re fired. Legions of unemployed graduates out there are inexperienced so dey re square pegs in round holes as far as lecturing job is concerned. Dis will rather aggravate d already decay nd rut in d quality of graduates produced year in nd out. |
lomaxx: Nigerian medical undergraduates are still writing usmle. I have a friend at ABU who wrote it earlier this year. He had a good score but be still felt he could have done better.Your responses av always been spot-on nd rattling sir. Thank u. Wish u more insight |
lomaxx: Since you're yet to start pre-clinicals and pre-med, the best you can do is prepare your mind.Perfect! Thank u very much. More power to ur elbow boss Pls, have u heard or seen a Nigerian medic dat aced both d home nd USML exam? |
Greetings to everyone. I am yet to start pre-clinicals not to talk of pre-medical but I want to know more abt USMLE . Dr Lomaxx nd oda remarkable medics , I am looking forward to hearing more abt dis as prior proper plan prevents poor performance. Thanks |
lomaxx: As an IMG, 3 things would determine whether or not you'll be accepted into residency in the US.U re d real deal. This is what i av been looking for. I am porting now to d thread for more of dis sir |
posting in big vocabulary doesnt make u appear smarter. It makes you seem inferior, moreover, u arent communicating. Its pretty annoying. Change.
That's just my usual way of interlocution. I am just being formal. I am grateful anyway. |
charleymed: Amb fistan, am in your shoes also. I have been doing so many researchs on that USMLE even before i got admitted into medical school. USMLE is divided into three.Wow! How can I thank u? I am very much grateful boss. I grasp d IMG's using d contextual element but what does it really stand for? |
swizzy2k: i need your advice swizzy2k: i need your adviceIs it to consider d unmitigated exposure, d competitive academic atmosphere, d resounding lectures(depending on ur univ)? Go 4 pre-science. It gives u a very great edge over congested utme's aspirants. U av two opportunities to be admitted(tru postjamb nd pre-science exam) making univ's admission less demanding nd less taxing. More dan 70% of pre-science students are admitted annually, less dan 40% percent of postjamb applicants are admitted annually( rough estimate tho) |
ayodeji752: silly arrogant ppl, dont return to class. Hope u hav enof land in ur village for farming sha? Wot do u hav to say abt ASUU telling nigerians dat d nec meeting has been postponed indefinitely after iyayi's death? D fact is dat ASUU doesn't pray federal govt honour d agreement so dat they can continue to stay at home and receive salary.lazy old foolsDo u know dat u ve just impertinently quoted a lecturer? As in, a whole lecturer! R |
emedy: if its abt money? I won't advise any of dos Career. Life z more important dan MoneyI am not ambitious of being in d career cos of d cash dat sloshes around it ,but ,d passion to save lives nd put a smile on d face of d needy nd demotic earthborn has been wired in me innately. But to be realistic, d solicitious visions in my heart for d betterment of humanity demand huge capital which brought abt my curiousity of d pay. Anyway, God's will must prevail nd He will surely direct my steps. I am sorry for any form of importunation sir. |
doc sholz: If you decide on medicine just make sure u read very well and write foreign licensing exams(US for example) early, doctors are paid ridiculously high salaries especially consultants, I'm talking anywhere between $500k to a million per annum depending on specialty and locationI wish to know more abt d exam sir "USMLE" if i am not mistaken. Does one write d exam during one's pursue of MBBS in one's undergraduate days or after induction? What does it entail? what sacrifice will one make to make it a success- tips nd formulae- cos I bliv it will insurmountable for most medical students as a result of saturation? Pls, I am interested nd shall be very grateful if u painstainkingly shed more light sir? |
emedy: wow...3million naira a month?? I must admit very few! And in these Few dy must ol b Consultants, own a high charge Priv hospital, venture into NGO nd also work for Govt like in 3 or 4 Teachinq hospitals. Mostly rare speciality like a Neuro-Surgeon dt his xpertise z need ol over d world. I knw a Professor of Infertility dt charges close to 3m for a case,nd he'll definitely give u a child no matter how impossible nd improbable d chances are. He fail in like 2 out of 7,the problem z he won't b havinq cases ol tro dy year,so dr z bound to b broke days. I mentiond a doctor of Internal Medicine dt charges over 100,000 for in patients,dy are times dy wud lack patients also. So lemme summarize by sayinq 3million naira z high payout, involves hardwork and smartness, likely to b achieved only by a Consultant. As a result of my public-spiritedness, I av conscientiously conceived many visions that will consume millions of naira . Dat was y i asked. Giga thanks sir for heeding to my "childish" question. I am indebted. May God enlarge ur coast. |
emedy: Dnt wana Condemn any post here. Buh lemme try and help dy OP.Sorry for being an interloper sir. May the almighty God continually enrich u sir with wisdom. Thank u 4 delving much into dese two professions. U made my day. With dis, my eyes are opened to tactically exploit my chosen profession in d nearest future. But do we av doctors dat earn more than #3 million after conquering d umpteen arduous professional exams? I am just curious sir, sorry 4 being childish here. Or let me it paraphrase by saying what is the maximum pay a successful nd certified doc can earn monthly? |
Congrats @ petreilo nd ms Lee nani Hoping to hear the exhilarating testimonies of our noble ex-predites in likes of x-kid,ifyx...... # Only African University |
Habiz: 100%possible sir,OAU has done dat b4 in 2005 bt hope dem no do ham again oGot d same info from d woman dat occupies d student affair office on friday @ CDL, moro campus. Let's wait nd see |
Adehwale: well, this myt av bin possible if OAU hav'nt admitted anyone yet. They could av just decided to wait till next year, thereby choosing abt 60% of dose av jst bin admitted, nd 40% frm d coming jambites. Bt presently, d skul has admitted d maximum numba of pple (plus d predites) a skul can accomodate per session according to NUC. So any further addition might go against the regulations of d body. So there is no possible means of admitting more students, considering the facilities on ground.I got d same info from d woman dat holds d student affair office @ d CDL, moro campus. Merging is probable |
Mhyke: pls retype nd post in ENGLISH ![]() |
On CDL CAMPUS at present. Wow! These predites are not smiling |
@ World's greatest,I am present sir. @ Ifyx, though belated,HBD to u sir. I was loath to embroil myself into dis e-loathsome quagmire. But being of Great Ife's provenance, I just had to put my oars. @ all, I am pent up to d gill. I fumble helplessly for words to verbalize my feelings. Getting a load at dis comtemporaneous feud, fray, fracas and vendetta dat av drastically surfaced between the linchpin nd top-notch apostles of dis thread is peremptorily uncalled for. If not fastidiously checked, dis unparalled thread may come a cropper, may shatter to the smithereens and may combust to d frazzle. It's is not worth quibbling over dis derisory bone of contention. Let's slough off dis sloppy rift nd let bygones be bygones . It is a derigueur to jettison coldness in ur post to avoid being lippy, let's endeavour to be emollient and punctilious in registering our grievances. Dis invaluable thread has procreated over-arching info and still serves as hang-outs to many out dia. Pls, don't pervert my opinion, LIVE AND LET LIVE. |
amb fitsaint,cn i get ur whatsapp num or 2go id?? nid 2 mke sme enquiries abt sumtin personal
No qualms. I am "whasappless". But my 2go's moniker is Jesusfreak111 |
Ibruks: am just now tired of everything..... agg 263 just going like that.....U ve got an impressive agg bro. Hope u re pressing d rait buttons? Profs nd drs in ur dept of intent will find dis encouraging. |
Afolabi6046: @ambfitsaint Abi oo, chee u saw Nsofor's free kick, i'm sure OAU has done ojoro for ethiopa's keeper nii jewe, he didn't c d ball wella, nt making my cut off wasn't my fault oo, it was mum's...D match was somewhat lack-lustre jare, so I missed dat part. How was it mum's if u don't mind or u feel like keeping mum abt it? |
Oluwatola5: Seriously, the school i fear the most in Nigeria is UI, because they really could be unpredictable, at least OAU may still give you something to hope for for about a yr, UI can thwart your dreams of admission right from the scratch!!!!Lolz. U ve said it all. Elastic UI is highly unpreditable.. |
, is USCE( US Clinical Experience). I highly suggest that anyone that wants to do residency in the US must do his/her final year electives in the United States. This is the only chance you can get to have direct-contact with patients...and not mere observerships. Those folks prefer folks with USCE over those with observerships or worse still- those without. There are some hospitals that don't require USMLE before you do your electives. You can always know them.
