Even when i am a little girl,if i hit my sister too hard for spanking my bottom, mum will ask me if i want to kill her. You don't use all your strength to knock out someone in the name of misunderstanding or self defense. If they want to box, better enter a ring. A penalty should be equal to the offense. That said, women should respect themselves. It is not safe to play with a cobra.

GRAND30: I hope Judge Masipa doesn't want to set free a guy who shot at his girlfriend 4 good times but now tells the world he thought she was an intruder. Didn't she scream after the first shot? Second? Third? Fourth? Or did he no longer recognise his lover's voice? Why would he not call out to know who was there before playing chess with his gun?
That was what i thought too. So she didn't shout when he shot her first or what. This will make Fatal attraction episode one of these days

@ Op Why not send him your size ,let him buy uniform rings. Discuss the wedding expenses with him not your mum/siblings. Una no get budget? Update him on what you have done and what is still remaining. Discuss your finances and how to fund the outstanding. You guys are on the same team and should work together. I guess you are planing a society wedding,it comes with plenty wahala. However the phase you are passing through is normal. You may still have friction with him/his family on some decisions. Remember 'there is no perfect wedding',. So no matter what happens, be happy and full of smiles on your big day. Happy married life.

Christianity Etc › Re: Sex BEFORE Marriage Is A Sin. by Amhappy(f): 2:08pm On Sep 09, 2014
frank317: U know sex is over rated yet u open a topic on absteinace before marriage like its the most important thing about marriage. Great sex does not lead to a happy marriage, also 'no sex b4 marriage' dosnt also lead to a happy marriage, so why stress it.

How does sex blind couples from seeing potential problems before marriage? Lovers who are having sex obviously know each other more than lovers who are not sleeping together so what are u saying?

My sister stop saying what's on ur mind like its a fact. Learning sex betwenn couples after marriage does not change their personaality neither does it make thm better couples. Absteining from sex before marriage is a completely useless venture since it adds no value to the marriage, sexually active couples can focus on other things rather than thinking everything is okay because they absteined from sex before marriage.

How did u learn that abstained couples before marriage resist infidelity better. I know so many guy who abstained come out and say they didn't know they were missing a lotn they even over do it outside wedlock. I know a virgin lady who said she felt cheated when she got married and wonders how other men would taste like. Sorry dear its not always like that. In fact the better option is to have sex before marriage.
I disagree. Sex before marriage is not a better option. Both have their merits and demerits but the odds is higher on premarital sex.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Would You Accept An Offer With A Salary Like This? by Amhappy(f): 9:53am On Sep 09, 2014
If you are idle bro take up the job but don't lose focus. Unless you want to start a small business. See it as a way of adding value to the community(NYSC+). If you are at home, you will be boy-boy and will still beg to collect 2k with all the insult on top. Right now i even work without pay just to keep busy and not get rusty. I know my ground is under preparation.

Family › Re: Who Is A Guy With Potential? by Amhappy(f): 9:20am On Sep 03, 2014
cole265: The problem with some ladies is that they want to eat their cake and still have it. Some ladies like the one in this story knows what she wants and she went for it. She wanted a man that is independent in thoughts and free in the mind. A man who do not compromise bc of family, friends or love to achieve...such the kind of men that makes it in life anyway. (such ladies don't complain of less attention from the man; they are very understanding) on the other hand, some ladies want just the kind of man as dis ribbed in this story. a man that is simple and easy going, religious, homely and "caring" in the sense that they touch, kiss, smoosh gently and tenderly all the time. Of course such men don't have the drive to make it in life (especially in a place like Nigeria) even when the opportunity knocks, they are too shy or to afraid to take it up bc in most cases it might involve keeping late nights, travelling for long or in some instances living apart from their spouse initially or along the line. These type of men are prefared by some ladies even if they don't make it in life.
But problems starts when a lady wants a man who has potentials to make it in life as well as the same qualities as in the second kind of man(especially when they are both self starters).
I hope my long story answers your questions
So in conclusion, you can have it all. You got me thinking.
Family › Re: Who Is A Guy With Potential? by Amhappy(f): 8:51am On Sep 03, 2014
A man with a clear vision, plan and work smart. Someone who is always willing and ready to take calculated risk. Someone who is hardworking and dedicated towards what he wants to achieve. Someone who never gives up hope but seeks and grab every good opportunity to make a positive change. Someone who can make sacrifices today because of tomorrow. Such a man i will say have potentials.

I guess she is the man's wife and kid too. Thats how my dad do treat us when we are little. He rations the quantity of milk for tea,omo to wash, food stuffs and pocket money for the week/month etc. Well my dad no ration water join ooo. @OP That woman is in soup. One of my older friend with 3kids was given 1000 for the month by her husband as he was about to travel. A rich man ooo. She went and borrowed money, when the man returned,he refused to pay and she have no source of income. I think women should try and earn no matter how small. Some men are callous.

xfire: People mostly start with the wrong question - Asking about certifications! Being a technical safety / loss prevention engineer is not about certifications. It is more about experience. One needs to have indepth understanding of oil / gas processes and facilities, design and safety engineering philosophies. It takes years of experience to acquire, and it involves a lot of personal studies and diligence. Like I said, don't feel overwhelmed. The easiest way to kick start your career in that line is to start first as a facilities, I & E, process or machinery engineering. With a good engineering degree, you can get entry level positions in the fields. Sometimes, you can be lucky to be employed directly as a trainee safety engineer.
Some universities abroad offer safety engineering, though it is preferably for one to first gain basic engineering experience (not necessarily as a safety engineer) in the oil and gas before going for such an MSc in safety engineering.
There are certifications along the way but it will be meaningless to you without basic engineering experience. And certifications are not compulsory anyway. Companies generally value experience over certifications. Read this comment below on the thread:
Thanks for the clarification. I actually have a degree in Chemical engrg and have experience as a safety officer but is yet to be exposed to safety engineering. I hope to specialize there.

xfire: I quite agree with you. Experienced technical safety engineers are in hot demand. There is actually a shortage of technical safety/risk engineers worldwide. Many notable oil firms require them in large scale engineering projects. And it is one of the very few engineering positions in which you can work independently as a consultant. I know a man who is a technical safety engineering consultant. He makes over 500k for a 2-day consulting engagement. He is sought after all over Africa. I should add i
I am interested in this technical safety engineer. What certifications can help one fit in this role?
