Blockus: Madam...

You must think that researching the cure for a Virus is as simple as making Paracetamol. grin

This disease is not new.. grin
Whatever experts you think Nigeria has, I DOUBT AND INFACT CAN PLACE A BET ON IT THAT THEY CANNOT FIND A CURE ANYTIME IN THE NEXT 5 - 10 YEARS. No vex, but I no be pikin wey dem fit tell that kind bullshit. angry

The research into a cure for a VIRUS (Emphasis on VIRUS) has been on for years.. Thats why many Viral sicknesses still dont have a cure.. Example:: The H5N1 Virus (Avian Flu or better yet SARS).. Still has no Cure. Another one is Herpes.. Also no cure.. Another one is HIV, Still no cure.. Another is Polio, Also No cure. Measles (which you have heard of), has a Vaccine but NO CURE.. e.t.c. Mind you, Vaccines are not cures but rather preventative.

So Madam, If you want to believe that a Government that cant build enough healthcare hospitals, that cant pay its doctors well and on time, that barely funds its universities (so I wonder how or who would be pioneering the research), that cant provide BASIC (Emphasis on BASIC) healthcare for its citizens would be able to jump in and find a cure for a VIRUS in a short time, grin

Then you must be a Believer and your Church must be Believers Ministries.. grin

And No I wasnt trying to make a Mockery of a serious situation, the Health Minister just made a Mockery of himself and the Nation on print media.

@ OGA if you say so. But even the US have only an experimental cure. The Nigerians can steal or buy the technology and work with that. Though i dont trust a lot of things in Nigeria, but i do believe that everything is possible. If we can get an experimental treatment option in Nigeria,it will go a long way. We dont even know when and how this will end.

@ Blockus an extract from the post, even though i know you were just finding a way to make mockery of a serious issue.

'The minister added that he has confidence in the committee of medical and health experts constituted by the government to develop a drug for the treatment of the virus.'

Health › Re: Ebola: Nigeria Reaches Out To U.S. For Experimental Drug; NMA Sets Up Committee by Amhappy(f): 3:18pm On Aug 06, 2014
Oga minister discuss with your Oga at the top and lease them oil block. The Pharmaceutical company cannot refuse that. Thats exactly what they want. Our research team should work with what is already known(serum, bitterkola),no time for wide goose chase. The existence of the country itself is at risk.

Health › Re: Breaking!! Six More Health Workers Infected With EBOLA!! by Amhappy(f): 7:34am On Aug 06, 2014
The news is conflicting. If their result have not been released why comfirmed them positive @Vanguard. Let the people showing no symptoms chew the bitterkola. I believe in trying, proven or not. Even the HIV anti retroviral can be given.Since there is no cure,do trial and error. You never can tell.

My friend is a biotechnologist, graduated since 2007 with an excellent grade, uptill now no job. She is now doing receptionist and marketing a lot of crazy things. When i heard a biotech company discovered this serum,i was really sad. This is what she would have been doing as creative and intelligent as she is.

When you value the life of your people, you will invest in their health, safety, protection and welfare. You will think about their past, present and future. Africa does not value her people,we dont think about the future. We rather put billions in individual pockets or spend on what has no value. This has just shown that the Life of 1american= Life of 1000africans. Will we learn from this, answer is NO. Meanwhile am glad Dr Kent Brantly is recovering. The infected Nigerian doc,we dont even know his name. President GEJ should bring ZMAPP for him abeg.

I pray God to just give me babies make this man no use errand finish me. @ OP Its just a habit. Your friends should just learn how to give silly excuses to escape sometimes.

Health › Re: Nigerian Doctor Who Treated Victim Infected With Ebola by Amhappy(f): 4:03pm On Aug 04, 2014
kstyle2: Nawa o...the doctor may even be married with kids and they've kissed and hugged. What if the doctor slept with a wh.0re who will then pass it on to dudes that will sleep with her, who inturn will pass it to their girlfrndz who will then pass it to other guys. Or what if the doctor had exchanged pleasentries with som1 in the chrch when d pastor said 'welcome ur neighbour and say something nice'...he may hav welcomed his neighbour who then welcomed other neighbour. What if he had checked other patients who came crying for the attention of a doctor after d liberian man saga
So many questions with little or no answer
Baba God na ur hand i dey...no let me fall
