Though we celebrated Seplat taking over ExxonMobil,we know deep down that it's bad news. Even the government knows. We need increase in foreign investment not exit. Our oil production may go down. Operational and safety standards may never be the same. Workers, contractors, suppliers and others are expecting something downwards. We are yet to see huge investment in gas and the IOCs are in a better position to diversify to gas,yet they are leaving. What's the hope of new investors coming into the sector. We need to look at our business environment again. |

You made a lot of valid points here. I think being a graduate is not enough, one need to hone their skills and brush up. This has been in discussed in several forums I have been in. How do you get a Nigeria graduate field ready? Another problem I see is that there are no awareness on benefits of unpaid internship because on the job training is a great way to develop oneself. |

It's more than his slender nature trust me. Take your time and work with your finance to win her over. I don't know your relationship with your mom but if your family is close knitted like mine, i won't advise you to go ahead and marry a man without your family. I didn't do it and that was my saving grace during the most turbulent period because my family is my support structure. |

Ibrahim94: Depends on your connection.
My friend that studied History, is now working with Nigeria Port Authority. Another one is working with Federal Inland Revenue Service.
I'm currently working in a private firm as an administrative Officer and got Chartered as an HR from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria. From January till last week I've gotten an HR position in a great organization but I'm been selective now.
Please, just try to get a good grade and support it with certification and connect with right people in your career path. Please what's the process to switch to HR. Someone close to me studied Sociology and it's not palatable. |

@ Younger Sister calm down ooo,you need your family support to win this. Even if you no gree calm down sha by the time you enter labour room and come out you go calm down. If you and the young man will get together in the future no wahala. Go back to school or learn a skill while the guy hustle his way. That's why currently he doesn't send you. It's not a walk in the park out there. Congratulations for keeping your baby. |

wirinet: You are not be fair on the couple.
First of all the teenage girl is not the husbands niece but the daughter of a village neighbour, they are not related. Then why will you force a struggling couple who is nursing her own baby (and working at the same time) to take care of another person's baby? Where I blamed the couple is not involving the girls family or reporting to relevant authorities that a baby had been abandoned in their care.
The said they reported to the police, but I doubt the police has the facilities to cater for abandoned babies. It doesn't matter if they are related by blood or not. The day they took her, she became their responsibility. They reported to the police that the girl disappeared and not that a baby was abandoned in their home. Because if they did the police would have directed them to the right authorities. The woman even used the word husband sister to describe the girl. We know how kin works in Igbo land. They didn't take her back to the village neighbour. They accepted the baby under their roof and left him to die. What happens to the duty of care? They don't need to abandon their baby to take care of this baby. Even my mother's goat feed her kid alongside another kid. Only a mother understands this situation better. Please allow me to vent. Good morning. |

I watched the video. We don't need long stories. Let me for a moment believe that a 19yr old mother (your husband niece) abandoned her baby with you a matured over 30 women like me. How can that child under your watch wither away like that without you doing anything madam? If you and your family is starving we will see same kwashiorkor on you. His mother is foolish but you Tina is wicked. You starved a child to death period. |

RotrEmmanuel: Anything you don't know is bigger than you. She knows these rules while in uniform but went ahead to be distracted by a proposal. What's if it's an Enemy? You are judging from the emotional status of a civilian though. In my opinion, they are just kill joy. Nigeria Army looking for nonexistent enemy in NYSC camp when a whole NDA was attacked right before their eyes. They have more important threats and what they focusing on is a woman falling in love. Hisses and walks out of thread. |

Health › Re: How Generator Fumes Killed An Only Son by Amhappy(f): 6:11am On Dec 16, 2021 |
phenylalanine: I disagree with ur findings that the girl survived because she was on her period, that's an hypothesis that's needs more digging. For your information CO presence in the blood stream reduces the ability of blood to carry Oxygen to the brain and other parts of the body, also you and I know that blood does not replenish immediately as it is been loss, why the girl survive is beyond that. Definitely this is not an expert analysis. CO is denser than O2, maybe someone changed sleeping position when they started choking. It's a miracle she made it. |
Health › Re: How Generator Fumes Killed An Only Son by Amhappy(f): 6:05am On Dec 16, 2021 |
Very informative thread. CO poisoning equals to asphyxiation. It will simply displace oxygen in your blood. Keep your generator outside in a well ventilated environment and as far as possible. May the family of Femi be consoled. |

philip0906: Which Nigerians don’t pay tax? This is a myth that has been debunked several times. We already pay VAT, companies and businesses already pay tax, salary earners already pay income tax, small businesses even those by the roadside already pay taxes in form of levies to local governments where they are setup. The cost of Oil production in Nigeria is among the highest in the world due to the cost of running business here including multiple taxation. |

I see Nairalanders already doing the same. Everyone must exist the world one way or the other. His time came and he answered the calling. For one it was reported that He has no criminal records He didn't act like the one who is a party to the crime. He wouldn't have stopped to ask questions. This aren't no calling |
