HealthHow Often Do PSP Officials Come To Dispose Wastes In Your Area by Amicable24(op): 1:57pm On Oct 24, 2019
Good afternoon all, since last year I've noticed that the PSP officials in charge of my area here in Eyita, Ikorodu, Lagos State just comes ONCE IN A MONTH undecided

Is this normal? In LAWMA's official website, they wrote (under their FAQs) that the PSP officials are mandated to come at least ONCE IN A WEEK to dispose wastes in Residential areas..

But in my area, they come just once in a month, COLLECT PAYMENT, take out the trash and then it's goodbye till the next month.. If you don't pay, they won't dispose yours.. The environment is often dirty and the wastes end up flying around and blocking the drainages after each rainfall because of flood

I've tried sending emails to the agency (LAWMA) concerning this but to no avail. It's unfair that we make complete payment for waste disposal but they end up not doing their job effectively.

Do you experience same in your area, you can share with us..

Please what do we do?

Christianity EtcRe: How Is Religion The Cause Of Backwardness In Nigeria And Africa? by Amicable24: 10:25pm On Aug 04, 2019
This is going to be interesting..

Nigeria + Religion = Backwardnesshuhhuh Hell no

Nigeria + Bad/Selfish leaders = Backwardness √√√

Mind you, it isn't only Nigeria practicing religion..

United states have many Christians among them, yet they are moving forward..

Saudi Arabia has many Moslems, yet the country fine..

I believe this issue of "religion is the cause of Backwardness", "religion is our problem" is a satanic tool to distract many. Nigerians, Be Wise!!!

It's only those who don't think reasonably and practically that will say Religion is the cause if backwardness in our country.. SMH

I believe Nigeria will be great again someday sha, by God's grace, Amen

OLADEEGBU, what's your take on this?

The reason is very simple: Zero regulation.

Let me explain a bit.
I've lived in a few oversea countries. In those places where domestic cooking gas isn't piped into residential houses from a central mains, there is a regulated supply of filled gas tanks/cylinders of various sizes. The gas peddler brings a filled and sealed tank to your house, and you exchange it with your empty tank of similar size.
Now, those tanks have dates printed on them. Once the date is due, the tanks are taken to the gas company for maintenance/repair/refurbishing. They are checked for signs of rusts, leakages, or weakness. Any fault detected is worked on, standard pressure tests are then conducted to certify them OK. Next, the cylinder gets a fresh coat of paint, and a new due date is printed on it. After which, it gets released into circulation. This keeps accidental explosion to a bare minimum. Those checks are usually routinely done every 2 years on every single gas cylinder.
Now, compare that with Nigeria where a gas cylinder never gets checked even 10 or more years after continuous use! Isn't that a recipe for disaster? You buy your own tank, and no inspection work gets done on it.
Secondly, local welders are now fabricating gas tanks without the specified standard metal alloy or thickness. Then to paint it and sell it to the public....just like that!
Tell me why there won't be frequent explosions, especially now that more and more folks are switching to LPG.
This is so true.. Thank you for the in-depth analysis.. Nigeria still has a long way to go.. Our leaders are less concerned about our plight.. In all, God got our backs kiss

Hello computer gurus in the house. My windows 7 64 bit came with 4gb installed RAM (partition 2 gb each and 3.27 usable). Recently, I noticed my system's speed is slow and it hangs all the time. I went back to my computer's properties and noticed the installed RAM memory is 2 gb (1.88 usable). Can you please tell me what's wrong with the other 2gb RAM. My system is really slow now and it's frustrating my work.

Thank you in advance.

I have a question for my friend please. She applied to a University for Fall 2017, the admission was given, I-20 sent and SEVIS number issued but she wasn't able to meet up with the school's admission date although she has already gotten visa. The University advised she reapplies for Spring term which she has done already. But now, they are issuing a new I-20 with a new SEVIS number different from the one on her visa.

Can she travel to USA with the visa that bears the old SEVIS number or she has to go back to the embassy, pay another visa fee, to rectify it?

Hello Amicable24 -

Your friend could probably do it either way. F1 visas are eligible to submit for renewal through the drobpox if they are still valid or have been expired for no more than 1 year, and if the student either continuing in the same course of study even if at a different institution, or to attend the same instutution, even if pursuing a different course of study.

Alright. Thank you for your time and quick response

The SEVIS number annotation on the visa will be checked against the number on the I-20. Your friend will need to obtain a new visa.

If the i20 has not been mailed out yet, she should email her ISSS office to update her sevis ID to the previous one.

If it has been mailed out already, she should request that her sevis fee payment be transferred from the old one on her visa to the new one.
Thank you for your response Francis.

Can she travel without going through the process of getting a new visa?

The 12,500 (actually 12,300 CAD) is the minimum required amount of funds you should have to support your upkeep only once you land in Canada Not for anything else, not even for visa fee (550 CAD Application Fee + 490 CAD Right of permanent residence fee). That money is an independent sum of money not meant for anything else but as seed money into Canada's economy grin grin

The amount required depends on the size of your family but it's from CAD 12,500 (for singles) to as much as CAD 35,000. (For a family of 7.I think)
Please, is the 12,500 CAD for visa fee alone or it includes medicals, PCC, etc?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with masturbation ! Religious goon has made people feel so guilty about what is a perfectly natural thing . Especially as a substitute to abstinence . . . It’s definitely better to masturbate than catch disease through sexual intercourse !
I don't agree with you on this. Masturbation is BAD.. You may call it a natural thing and I will tell you that lusting after the opposite sex is also a natural thing but is classified as sin in the Christendom. Masturbation can never be a substitute to abstinence. Abstinence is already a substitute on its own.. ABSTAIN not MASTURBATE!!!!

Well it's fair enough because they're rendering the service. To avoid being charged on share credit, you can send the recharge pin in form of SMS or via WhatsApp chat.
We're not charged above the normal rate for SMS except you're experiencing such. The SMS rate is N4 across all networks.
The fee they charge me is more than the normal SMS rate of 4 Naira. Etisalat/9mobile's own is even worse because they charge a percentage of whatever amount you're sending
