It's sad that news about Southern Kaduna no longer make the airwaves even though the killings never stopped. This happened today but conspicuous silence by the conventional media. Is it because it's no longer politically expedient to voice out? The Elders are also culpable and it's obvious they have all been placed on payroll. https://x.com/ZagazOlaMakama/status/1964719984552063062 |
SuperEagles:List the public enterprises that he sold to himself and Atiku? You have 48 hours so take your time. Tinubu just listed about 90 government-owned enterprises and assets too for privatisation. Is he planning to sell them to himself and cronies? Let us know. |
BabaO2:I am not the unity begger who created the thread so why are you hyperventilating on my mention, Baba good English? Is Tinubu not doing worse than Jonathan to the rest of the South today both in terms of appointments and projects? The Southern agenda is dead on arrival. There is no South. Tinubu's relationship with the North is about to capitulate and all of a sudden, you now remember the South. |
Judolisco:Same Elrufai that is a titled Chief in Ijebuland? Coronated by the late Owujale himself as the Gbobaniyi of Ijebuland. So he's no longer a Saint, according to the Yorubas and is now the devil? You people are unravelling fast.
|
Segzy19:Is Tambuwal in the APC today? Does he have any pact with Tinubu? Are the governors of Delta and Akwa Ibom betrayers for decamping to the APC today? |
oluwaseyi0:Yes. This attempt at unity begging will fall flat on its face. Tinubu is usurping the turn of the Southeast. He should step aside in 2027. |
oluwaseyi0:Oluwaseyi, except that Tinubu is not a Southerner, he's a Westerner. Thanks. We understand what you people are trying to do but it won't stick. Gbadebo a fellow Yoruba can't even campaign in his own Lagos. You people call him Chinedu just to galvanise hatred against him. |
tunjijones:Olatunji, who did Tambuwal betray Jonathan in conjunction with? I did not see you mention Tinubu, the biggest culprit and mastermind who travelled to Daura to convince a retired Buhari to come and contest against his fellow Southerner just so he can succeed him after 8 years. You people should keep resurrecting old news while shielding your own. |
Funny how the Nigerian Police now only have a mandate to maintain public order at venues where opposition parties have slated to hold their events. |
Shikini:Well, now you know. Elrufai has been vindicated. Uba Sani is not the smartest of the bunch. He's only interested in PR and maintaining a false image. If all the Northern states start paying bandits, they will simply move down South. Elrufai's position on banditry has always been clear from day 1; carpet-bomb all the forests and damn the consequences. |
Neither will giving them money and pacifying them. It's good for propaganda and media ops but it's a temporary solution akin to putting bandage over a bullet wound. Matawalle tried it in Zamfara and they simply moved on to other neighbouring states that didn't negotiate with them. That was what contributed to the spike in attacks in Kaduna, Katsina and Niger that refused to negotiate with the bandits then. Negotiating with bandits by the state is equivalent to capitulation and they'll resume attacks once you stop paying. P.S: This happened in Southern Kaduna today but it will never make the conventional news. The Elders are culpable just because they have all been placed on payroll. https://x.com/ZagazOlaMakama/status/1964719984552063062 |
The current governor obviously decamped in haste. He must be biting his fingers right now. He and Sheriff probably thought Wike would succeed in destroying the PDP and that there would be no opposition come 2027. Umo Eno cannot deliver Tinubu in Akwa Ibom state unless he's willing to spill blood. |
Elrufai has always been a democrat. He was the first and only governor in Nigeria to introduce electronic voting in local government elections in Kaduna, and even lost some LGs to the opposition. Uba Sani came onboard and one of the first actions he took as governor was to repeal the law, going back to manual voting. |
Is Nigeria now becoming a police state under Tinubu? Giving Elon Musk's twitter (now X) 24 hours to delete a citizen's post will only give bad publicity to Tinubu in the eyes of the international community. The post won't be deleted. One of the reasons Musk splurged over 41 billion dollars to purchase twitter was to guarantee free speech. |
Exousiang01:Maybe he didn't end poverty in 8 years as governor but he took Kaduna from an average of 9 billion naira per year IGR to over 60 billion naira when he left office. Kaduna became the Northern State with the highest IGR during his tenure. Kaduna was consistently top 5 state that attracted the highest FDI while he was governor. He embarked on the iconic and ambitious KadunaUrbanRenewal drive that transformed the city of Kaduna into a very modern city. You can either visit Kaduna to see for yourself or do your research online. There's no Nigerian alive that can doubt the capacity of Elrufai to deliver in any task he's assigned. He delivered as DG BPE, delivered as FCT Minister (still the best till date) and delivered as governor of Kaduna state. |
Usmanovic95:Don't believe the propaganda that they always try to sell you. Elrufai is not a religious bigot. |
Usmanovic95:Not for the first time. He has been in church several times in the past.
|
Word salad. He ended up saying nothing. If the government has no plans to implement the law, it would be taken out entirely like they claim to have done with so many other redundant taxes. Rather they simply retained it and made implementation period to be determined by the finance minister. The law would have been completely scrapped if Tinubu had no intention to activate it in the future. The removal of subsidy already makes the law redundant. Why still retain it? It is still a standalone tax in the new tax law, nothing like harmonised. |
HeadNigga:The uncommon Senator. It is obvious that this state of emergency has strained the relationship between Wike and the SP, as he was blindsided. Wike desperately wants the state of emergency called off even more than Fubara. Forget the sham of an LG election that took place in Rivers, the boycott of the election state-wide is making Wike to quiver. Either ways, the damage has already been done and Fubara still won't get along smoothly with Wike. P.S: These are some of the elected councillors in Rivers state under Tinubu and Wike's democracy.
|
callmeDDD:Just give it a rest already. Look at you struggling to justify what you can see with your bare eyes. I know you're too embarrassed to believe what the APC has become under Tinubu. Nigeria is not an Animal Farm. At least, not yet. |
Is this what they mean when they call Tinubu a master strategist? What good is a strategist if he's scared of a fair contest and would rather run unopposed by fiat? Sponsored and state-supervised attacks on opposition figures like Elrufai, Aregbesola, Malami, Katsina Elders and now Rhodes-Vivor is not looking good for our democracy. This isn't the behaviour of someone confident of victory, it's the behaviour of someone who has looked at the numbers and seen that there's no pathway to re-election. |
dheilaw1:That shows you that Lagosians did not necessarily hate APC. They were just intentional about not voting for Tinubu. This was also why Tinubu lost several states with APC governors, but the governors still won their reelection. This is why we laugh when we see you all celebrating the results of the recent buy-election. |
seunmsg:Lol. Yorubas though. I'm just happy how fast you all are unravelling before the eyes of Northerners. Barely two years ago, Elrufai was being touted as the next president by some of you in the SW. That was before Tinubu betrayed him. This is the sole reason why Kwankwaso will not decamp to the APC. You're now jittery that new alliances are being built across the Niger. There's no pathway to Tinubu's re-election in 2027.
|
BATified2023:Tinubu took the "devil incarnate" everywhere during campaign and even to Chatham house. Tinubu is on record publicly begging the "devil incarnate" to stay behind and work with him. He only became a devil incarnate to you Yorubas after Tinubu won his election and betrayed him. If he was your beloved friend during campaign and made Tinubu president, he can also become the beloved friend of "some people" too. Don't you think so? Elrufai has no scores to settle with the Igbos. Even as governor of Kaduna, he got awarded with a chieftaincy title by the Igbos for his role in dousing ethnic tensions in the North.
|
Damage control. Op forgot to include the pictures of equally colourfully dressed councilors in Rivers state.
|
This is fake news. The mods should take it down. This is the handiwork of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway media propaganda machinery who are becoming jittery that the North are building back their age-long alliance with the East. Elrufai has no scores to settle with the Igbos. Even as governor of Kaduna, he got awarded with a chieftaincy title by the Igbos for his role in dousing ethnic tensions in the North.
|
jmoore:Knowing that he has presidential ambition, Tinubu should have given Ribadu another portfolio other than security because he's struggling and desperate to prove that he's working. So many twitter propagandists singing praises in what is an obvious PR when the reality is starring us in the face. In the end, Tinubu will throw them all under the bus. |
seunmsg:Lol. What happened to your garrulous permutation? Is Kwankwaso no longer coming to APC again? Why then did Tinubu embarass Ganduje to resign by displaying his corrupt file before him? Abdulmuminu Jibrin was chased out of APC by Ganduje, lost his election and only got re-eleected when he aligned with Kwankwaso. It's also interesting how you all from the SW will bat no eyelid about dropping Kashim Shettima as VP despite everything.
|
Rilwayne001:He had't left yet but it was inevitable. He has failed to bring in Kwankwaso as Tinubu wanted and was on his way out anyway. |
Lol. Clearly, he spoke out of turn in his Channels interview, but I think NNPP would have left him to dig his own grave by decamping to the APC. There would be no alliance between Kwankwaso and Tinubu in 2027 because the APC will struggle to build momentum in the North. That door has closed, yet the rift between Tinubu and Shettima will manifest even more leading into the election. The Northeast is gone, and what is coming is heavy! |
Dannyset:Lol. In other words, you would only choose what and who to believe according to your biases. You have still failed to provide who "them" are. I am your worst nightmare. Thanks for noticing me. It's ironic that I never noticed you. Now run along! |
