Now that it is time for Tinubu to take responsibility for insecurity, you are narrowing it down to politics. Is it also politics that is playing out in parts of Kwara that has been overrun by bandits? This news is only making the airwaves because the kidnapped is somewhat high profile otherwise, it would be suppressed by the media as is now the case with reportage of insecurity in the country.

When they say Tinubu is a master strategist, they simply mean he's the master of subterfuge, anti-party and other undemocratic moves. He started anti-party in the APC by sponsoring Magnus Abe to create a faction in Rivers just to deny Amaechi a fair contest. He has since exported that dirty politics to the national level by doing the same in all parties and enboldening Wike.

False. She posted a special Zenith account number not the account number of the national library, if any exists. There's a reason why individuals are not allowed to construct government roads. So they won't inadvertently start feeling a sense of ownership for such roads and prevent other commuters from utilitizing the roads when they feel crossed. It doesn't help that we have seen her husband renaming national monuments after himself at an alarming and near-pathetic rate.

Really? Then explain the attacks of Malami in Kebbi, the disruption of the Katsina Elders Forum meeting, and the barring of Obi by the governors of Benue and Edo from entering their states. Bottomline is that Tinubu is stifling opposition through the governors after attempts to infiltrate all parties failed. It's the reason why he's taxing poor Nigerians and handing more monies over to the governors without accountability just so they can do his bidding.

It was simply harmonized into the new tax law. It’s a dormant law that is still dormant. So, why the cry when no order has been issued for its implementation?

You can only fool your ilk. If the government has no plans to implement the law, it would be taken out entirely like they claim to have done with so many other redundant taxes. Rather they simply retained it and made implementation period to be determined by the finance minister. The law would have been completely scrapped if Tinubu had no intention to activate it in the future. The removal of subsidy already makes the law redundant. Why still retain it? It is still a standalone tax in the new tax law, nothing like harmonised.

The tax in question was introduced under the FERMA Act that was passed into law in 2007 during the PDP administration. There was a lot of outcry when Obasanjo wanted to implement the law so implementation was stepped down since then. However, it remains a part of our law.

So last year, the Tax reform committee consolidated a lot of these laws into the new tax law for better efficiency and effectiveness in the tax collection and administration system. So many of the old taxes were simply kept in the new law without any changes.

However , this particular 5% has no implementation date. So, the information going around that the implementation date is first of January, 2026 is false. The law is still docile as it was in the old FERMA Act. Implementation will only commence when the Finance Minister issue an implementation order and that has not been done.

As you can see, there is no point calling for the removal of a law that has been docile for over 15 years. It will not be implemented next year or anytime soon.

What you failed to mention was that fuel was less than 60 naira and subsidised when the 5% levy was proposed by Obasanjo, yet it wasn't implemented due to consideration for the populace. Tinubu has removed subsidy completely but the new tax law, instead of writing off the now redundant 5% levy, leaves it at the discretion of the Finance Minister to determine when it will take effect. That's inconsiderate and provoking.

But the lying machine claimed that they have met their revenue target for the year and are no longer borrowing from local banks. They only borrow from international banks now. There is a limit to where lies and propaganda can take you.

The painful thing about all of Tinubu’s loans is that there's no single tangible thing you can point at as having been executed by the loan. Just obscure projects with funny names, e.g, "building the resilience of rural women". Buhari’s loans were used to build visible roads, railways, ports and bridges.
