Pls i'm not yet a mum, still a member of the preggie thread but due dis dec. I need some recommendations from experienced mamas here and hope i can be helped.
Almost done with my shopping but i havent got toiletries for lo. I initially planned using pure coconut oil and shea butter for his skin wit johnson soap but dh has refused. Says he wants his baby to smell nice and all that as he hates the smell of shea butter. Right nw, i'm at a loss on which product would be nice for lo's soap, cream, powder, hair oil etc. Pls i really need suggestions of a good product that wont cause him any reactions nd keep his skin supple.
Secondly, i need advice on daipers too. During shopping, i saw dis large molfix daipers mini , cnt recall how many inside but it goes for about 4k. Says it can be used from 0-6months. Pls is it a good choice to start with as per quality and size?

My child seems to have sensitive skin, we use Dove Pure &Sensitive soap but it's really hard to find. Try Dove classic perhaps. Johnsons gave quite a few babies rashes and it's pricey. For lotions, I dunno. I cannot tell what is original and what is fake. Olive oil doesn't have a smell and is very good for the skin. Diapers, we used cloth diapers and some disposables. I'm a bit concerned that the same size of diaper will fit a baby perfectly from newborn to 6 months, as that is the fast-growing age and babies normally go from Newborn to sizes 1 and 2. I wonder how they manage to fit a tiny baby into the same size as a 4 month old?

It has not been easy but who am i to complain? Thank God for this beautiful gift of life.
Adjusting in bed is a huge challenge, even shifting from a sitting position,especially in a car. Pains everywhere, back ache, waist pain, right bumbum ache, rib pain and the latest addition, finger pains and numbness, i wake up in d middle of the night shouting in pains. My 10 fingers will be on fire. I dnt even knw wat to do about it. Its well oh.
Ehen mamas, i need to report lo to u ppl for some spanking, can u imagine this pikin aff turn my bladder to playgroud. I dont knw wat he is always finding to dat side. Kai its so uncomfortable. My bladder will be empty bt i'll kip having the urge to pee. Mamas biko talk to him oh.
And yes cappo its a boy He never hides his peepee. Always spreading legs yakata. Infact its always the first tin he shows us wen we go for scan. I just say dis pikin, hav small shame na. Lol.

I remember a saturday, sometime last month, I did one kind long excessive trekking (i was feeling like one kain fit preggy mama). Let's just say ever since that day, I no de pass my boundary again, cos the rest of the week was crazy. My LO was just doing one kind afterwards and I had serious pains in my lower abdomen. I didn't need a doctor to tell me i overdid it.

I think you should slow down for now, when you are getting closer to ur EDD, U can resume.

I have that issue too. I stopped going for walks at 26weeks. I had to run to scan the next day to make sure everything was ok. I can't even go to a shopping mall without wanting to collapse just from walking around. I would advise that you look for another form of exercise. In my first pregnancy, I even swam till the last week. Was much stronger then.

My dear, those walks ehn! Who no go no know aswear. If u see me during walks, u wee jez pity me. I'll even have to kip pressing my ribs down due to the crazy rib pains i've been having. I'm sore afraid of labour so when i heard exercise helps ease labour, i started walking against all odds. I'll have to slow down as mamas hav adviced. God help us.

On ANC days I had to be there by 5.30am latest and I would still pick no. 45 or 60 sef
But on the good side their services were ok
The nurses were great but u hv to be patient.
The space thing is true cos when I got to d hospital during labour, there was no spare bed so I had to sit on a chair for most of d labour alongside like 5 other women. They had to discharge some mothers that had given birth a day before to create beds for us.
The main attraction to d place is that if u register for ANC before 3 months under any HMO with 20k u wldnt pay for delivery .
After I gave birth I took my ANC receipt to accounts and was cleated for discharge. I was also given drugs free.

Lol @sitting on bench during labour. Naija no go kill person.
Its well with us, thank God u did fine. Where z ur axis in ph?

I used to have those wicked leg cramps at night or early hours of the morning. But i noticed i havent had them since calcium was added to my routine drugs. I cnt tell if its jst a coincidence, bt i havent had even one episode since then.

Moderation is key in whatever you do especially during pregnancy. In my opinion one hour in a stretch is too much and yes could bring on labor, just reduce the frequency and length of each walk.
At bolded get yourself familia with the mamas that are frequent here and cc them when next you need your question answered asap no one will intentionally ignore.

Lol. the ignoring is not intentional. sometimes I prefer to finish reading all answers already given so that if someone has already said what I want to say, I won't bother repeating it. but by d time I'm tru I would hv forgotten to answer even if others haven't. . that's what happened here.
28 weeks is too early naaa. why not wait till you're full term (37 weeks), in case contractions start and baby comes o.

Truth is, some mamas may not have answers and some may want to avoid giving responses that they are not absolutely certain of, so they just leave it to those who can respond. For example, a FTM certainly can't give answers to some questions because she has not experienced it yet.
Also, the mama's that may have answers may be offline and busy with their little ones and families.
So be patient.
When the sabi mamas are online, they will certainly respond.
It also helps if you cc our mamas that have put to bed before

I stay at elekahia my dear. U know i almost used obio, even went there for enquiries. I was discouraged by the crowd, heard their crowd is nt here at all. I know a lady that had to wait outside during labour as there was no space for her to deliver but i heard they are very good and their facilities are top notch. Hope u had a nice experience with them?
I'm beginning to regret nt using them oh, cuz everyone i know seems to prefer them.

Sometimes i just get so scared all over again that i almost feel i wont be able to do without it. My pain threshold is the lowest i've ever seen. M so scared.

sabi mamas been having contractions for two nights now. It starts by 9pm till 6am and then stops. My lo has also been very uncomfortable. Dunno if its d new style I adopted. I stopped taking chilled water and only drink slightly hot water plus my regular walks.
