See how lowly a whole Britain has stooped. With all their worldly advancement, they have become worse than beasts in ordinary, basic logic. Real agents of the Devil. Even in simple science, they taught us only +ve and -ve work.

In abroad you can't have line in house help, you can't have a gate man. You can't have a washer man, all these domestic staff are not easy come by. But in Nigeria you csn have as much as you want and still maltreat them.

Mind you some people can't do without house help.
Even Ghana is abroad o.

In summary, you want us to believe that you only save 10% of your monthly earnings? Na him be sey you no suppose to open mouth insult any government official because you too aren't great at managing resources.

Mind you, I also have a family of 4 (myself, my wife & two kids) and we no dey spend reach half of wetin you type there. Make una suffery suffery dey lie for public forum. You guys will keep scaring the fresh & upcoming graduates into thinking that they won't survive.

Birniwa:
For a family of four like myself, 500k looks good. Below is how I break it down, on monthly basis.

Food and other provisions - 100k
Rent - 30k
Domestic Water - 10k
Drinking Water - 15k
Electricity - 10k
School fees for two kids (after taking average as 1st term is always higher) - 45k
Car Fueling and Maintenance - 75k
Cooking Gas - 9.5k
Contributory, Gift and Charity - 30k
Clothing - 30k
Occasional Outing With Family - 15k
Medicals - 15k
Save for the rainy day - 50k
Online Skills Learning - 10k
Internet and cable subscriptions - 15k

My expenses on monthly basis are to the tune of N429,500

If you think this is too high, just know that every individual cuts their suit according to their size. Moreover, if this appears too little to barely cater for your monthly provisions, I pray one day I match this type of stability and beyond.
Na'am.

Considering the present economic situation and perpetual inflation in this country, a “good” take home salary in my opinion is at least the naira equivalent of $1000.

NB: I strongly advise the Government to start paying our salaries in US Dollars.

Chokehold:

That was before ⛽️ hit 610 per liter. Put a keg on a Peugeot 206 and a keg on any camry, the Peugeot 206 goes first. The only place the camry wins is "space" and speed which of course is determined by engine displacement/capacity and not "all other areas". It is high time we start taking car care serious and stop the archaic demonization of some car brands.

I bought my Peugeot 206 seven years ago and it is still as reliable as a horse. Bought with 131,540km on the ODO and currently on 218,010km as at last night. No faults, only oil change, brake pads, lsway bars and of course tie-rods and ball joints due to the sorry nature of our roads. I'm not done flogging this little demon I hope to attain 400 000km on the ODO because it gets what it needs.
Please if you don't mind, I want to ask some questions privately on the 206. May I send an email?

Is either you cooperate with nature and age gracefully or you give yourself plenty wahala. The guy still looks his real age despite the drugs, not to talk about the potential side effects which must inevitably manifest.

Literature / A Poem For Criticism by amnesty7: 5:11pm On Sep 10, 2023
Dear fellow poets and critics, kindly help me with your honest opinion about my poem below. Thank you.

HER LOVELY EYES

Each eye a gateway to her heart
And I cannot but both admire:
Lovely and calm, a Divine fine art
Igniting yet some peaceful fire.

The eyes, each with a lovely curve,
Give more glamour to her face.
They are an emblem of her love,
Of her charm and of her grace.
