Learning that an average Nigerian youth is not intellectually sound, is myopic and tribalistic! |
I'm in your shoes, too. I've also tried severally to ask people for monetary favour on this platform when my situation became unbearably tough, but unfortunately to no avail. I wish you are fortunate to find someone that will understand the sincerity and gravity of your situation, and be kind enough to help. Good luck and all will be well soon! |
Blyzz:If you wish to improve your IQ and be smarter, I will be more than happy to help you. |
Blyzz:Actually, this your comment further corroborates my point that you're not smart. A smart person will know that there's no correlation between cold and cerebral functioning (but perhaps you are an exception to this norm). I have made my point and you've proven it yourself, so we're done. Peace |
Blyzz:I only pointed out the fact that equating "maturity" with "smart" shows you're actually not smart in reasoning (you have low IQ!). It's now left to you take appropriate steps towards being smarter. |
mentored:Try to be reasonable! Most people will suffer seriously if markets were closed down for too long. MARKETS ARE INDISPENSABLE! Only the pastors will suffer (as you can see from the way Oledepo is lamenting) if churches are closed down for a substantially long period of time. CHURCHES ARE TOTALLY DISPENSABLE! Oledepo is only concerned about his BUSINESS, he doesn't care about you. |
Why didn't he also say that Lagos and Ogun are infected with "Anti-School" virus? I don't blame him: it's clear he's only concerned about his business. The reason government couldn't keep markets locked down for long is quite simple: market serves as an INDISPENSABLE center for food distribution (and every fool knows FOOD IS VITAL FOR SURVIVAL). On the other hand, we can close down religious centers forever and nothing will do us. In fact, our society will progress as a result. Who church or mosque help if not the clerics! |
360degreess:Actually, most covid19 patients (with strong-enough immune system) can easily recover without any form of intervention. So even if a million people come out to testify that they were healed of covid19 by a pastor, a sensible person will know that it's not the pastor that healed them (their immune system did!). |
Blyzz:You're obviously not smart! The comment you quoted used the word "smart", you are now substituting "maturity" for it. |
Righteousness89:You are actually not foolish sir. You are just narrow-minded, bigoted and dogmatic. |
Righteousness89:It doesn't matter whether he accepted Jesus or not! Life after death—IF THERE'S ANYTHING LIKE THAT— cannot be as simplistic as you view it in your narrow mind. Stop being so bigoted! |
Righteousness89:Yes, I will. And you should start reasoning too sir. It's not good to be bigoted and opinionated! |
Righteousness89:There's everything to reason sir! That's why we have sophisticated intellect compared to other animal species. As a matter of fact, it's because we don't reason enough that many silly and unreasonable beliefs still abound. If indeed there is heaven and good deeds can not take one there, then nothing else will! |
Righteousness89:Based on biblical record, Jesus came to the world a little over 2000 years ago. However, before this time we know very well that billions of people have lived and died. How will these people be judged? Also, after Jesus had come and gone, it took centuries before the "good news" could be spread to a substantial part of the world. Without a doubt, billions of people lived and died without hearing or reading about Jesus. How will such people be judged? If you're honest with yourself sir, you'll realize that the popular claim that Jesus is the ONLY way to eternal life does not make sense. |
Righteousness89:WHO he "accepted or believed" will be of no consequence whatsoever! IF there's afterlife, it is HOW he lived his life (the GOOD versus the BAD things he consciously and wilfully did) that will be a reasonable and just determinant of his fate. Think about this: over 95% of those born in a particular religion (Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism etc) will most probably adhere to that religion and believe its teachings are true. This means that our religious beliefs are essentially influenced by the family we happen to be born into (a factor we have absolutely no control over!). Hence, a person born in a Christian family and raised in the Christian faith will most likely believe in the Bible, and by extension, the teachings of Jesus (you are a good example of such a person). Similarly, a person raised as a Muslim will grow up believing without a doubt that the Qur'an is the impeccable word of Allah. If you think carefully and honestly about why and how people have certain beliefs (religious or otherwise), you will agree with me that a just, loving and sensible God will not judge people on whether or not they believed or accepted Jesus. How about those that lived before Jesus himself was born? How about billions of people that lived without ever hearing about Jesus? Will God still judge them based on "who" they accepted or believed? |
KingWarri:So because some parents are stupid and ignorant, the government too should be reckless? #CloseSchoolsforNow |
fill only two boxes with 15 and 15. leave the third box empty. Alternatively, use 13+11+ "6" (rotate 9 around through an angle of 180 to get 6). |
Righteousness89:What is your proof for believing so strongly that Jesus is "the way of salvation"? Imagine you were born in Saudi Arabia about 100years ago (millions of people were actually) and you had no way of reading or hearing about this "Jesus", all your life you only knew about Islam and you did all you could to be a good Muslim (to the best of your knowledge and capability). Would it make sense or be justifiable for God to still condemn you to everlasting damnation after you depart this world on the basis of not believing in Jesus(or giving your life to him)? IF there's truly life after death, the determination of a person's fate will certainly not be based on belief or lack of belief in Jesus! |

Yes, to a large extent, but NOT absolutely. There are many other factors involved in the determination of how a person turns out in life. |
What does this imply? |
o9o9:He is indeed dumb! Anyone who sees covid19 pandemic in Nigeria as a scam but believes it is real in some other countries (like USA, Brazil, Italy, Spain, India, UK etc) has to be very dumb! I only wish people don't get to realize the reality of coronavirus the bitter way. He even regards you as NCDC paid agent (lol). By the way bro, instead of feeding a dumb person (who may not even be hungary), here is someone that will be grateful for such gesture, no matter how little. Please quote me sir to let me know my fate (I'm sorrowfully serious about it). Thanks |
viceddy95:Good evening bro. I just stumbled upon this thread today, and after reading your posts, you seem to me like the kind of person I could reach to for help in my present financial difficulty. The summary of my challenge is that I teach at a private school, and the non-payment of our salary for close to 3 months (occasioned by the lockdown of schools due to coronavirus pandemic) has made things unbearably difficult financially. Whatever you can do to help sir would be greatly appreciated. 2020 274 729 Polaris bank, A A Richard. Thanks. |

princeSammyz:Your head is very correct! The easing of lockdown has clearly defeated the purpose of contact tracing, testing and isolation of infected people. The easing up of lockdown became necessary as a result of government failure to provide adequate palliative measures for the people. At this juncture in Nigeria, coronavirus spread is out of control. I only hope our situation here will not get as bad as USA's, Italy's, India's, UK's, Spain's or Brazil's. |

I can see it raining at your end, the cold must be affecting your cerebrum.
