Health / Re: Experiencing Wet Dream Everyday; Is This Normal? by Amtrak: 2:14am On Apr 05, 2021
Please pray very hard both day and night against it until it stops.

Actually, there is some nocturnal spiritual sexual activity your senses are being blocked away from so that you don't get to find out and take a prayerful stand against.

From my personal experience, what follows such persistent nocturnal discharge is most times negative e.g. losses, failure, rejection, etc. I pray it will not be the case for you.

Romance / Re: Does My Fiancée Love Me? by Amtrak: 11:57am On Feb 17, 2021
InfernoNig:
My people will say

"A man who wants to live long must marry a woman that loves him more. Make the mistake of loving you wife more than she loves you, you will die 20years before your time".

My people have spoken.

Peace.

The elders have spoken grin

For me sha, I understand what she means, and from experience I would advise you to leave her and go for a woman that loves you more than you love her because this would give you peace (but make sure you love her too so that you'll be happy in the relationship).

The fact that your present has this at the back of her mind and she can dare to flaunt it in your face is scary, and you should be ready to eat shit from her if you dare marry her. Better breakup and endure, else she will rule over you in the future, and this can destroy your dreams in this life.

Analysis
The woman is the weaker sex, not just physically, but mainly because it is easier for her to be controlled/cheated by the devil like in the Garden of Eden. The Bible said "... Adam was not deceived", meaning that he deliberately ate the forbidden fruit seeing the mess that Eve had gotten them into. I figure that Adam ate the fruit because of his overflowing love for Eve his wife (maybe because he had been lonely for long before God made her from him): his fear was losing Eve, while his hope was that for his (Adam) sake, God would pardon them both for disobedience (however, God sees the heart and hence judged him for loving his wife more than God: remember God is a jealous God). Here, the Serpent because of his jealousy and hatred for mankind controlled Eve by manipulating her into endangering her family, while Eve controlled Adam by putting him in a tight situation that had their family polluted and kicked out from the garden (which is part of what the Serpent wanted). Had the Serpent come directly to Adam, it would not have succeeded. Hence, in family life would you really want your wife to determine what happens when major decisions come up? You can be rest assured that she would be the one who determines what happens if you love her more than she loves you, and this can be really dangerous. Always remember that strong and wise men like Samson and Solomon respectively couldn't survive such relationships.

Finally, such conundrums is the dilemma of them that love their wives more than their wives love them. The man hardly becomes the man God purposed him to be.

Calm down man grin. I was once like you...I mean questioning everything about spiritualism, diabolism, voodoo etc. I was raised in a very strong Christian family hence I never believed in diabolical stuff. But I have a distance uncle who never believed in christianity or anything call white man religion. This my distance uncle is very intelligent, wise and highly respected in the community.

On one of his birthday he asked a pastor why and what's the need of binding the devil and spiritual warfare if diabolical and spiritualism doesn't work?

One day I paid him a nicodemus visit, I asked him several questions on this subject and why babalawos, chief priest and herbalist were not rich if actually they can made one rich? Then he said to me don't be deceived by western cultures towards African traditional religions. That I will see it before I believe it isn't wisdom .

He said look son, everything in life has it price and it rewards. These herbalist and babalawos have their rewards which is not earthly gains. Their rewards is the ability to hear from the gods and not to be rich. They take great pride in being chosen by the gods as a mouthpiece and not to be listed on billionaire dashboard! grin it's a choice!

The ritualists you pointed out can't be listed on billionaire dashboard cos no amount of rituals can make you wealthy. That list is exclusive for those who are wealthy and not those who are rich. Yes these ritualists actually make money...just enough to stay afloat, I mean enough to build houses, buy cars, drinks and womanizing. grin they only escaped absolute poverty.

That you never see it doesn't make it not real...I once thought in that line believing that magic doesn't exist until a magician came to our streets in Binin city many years ago, like 20 years back to perform some magic.

I practically put up a fight with the magician to see if this stuff actually work like my uncle said. I challenged the magician to a show! Before my two eyes and the crowd He turned my pair of shoes to two big rats.

I've never seen miracles being performed but at least I've seen magic being performed!

These things works to an extent.

Hmm... what the man did can make you really poor... I hope you are not struggling

Culture / Re: Yoruba Words That Mean The Same In Edo by Amtrak: 3:25pm On Dec 08, 2020
Even though I'm Yoruba but I think Igbo language is far better than our language and I urge every Yoruba person to learn Igbo

Some people are out here with multiple accounts/monikers and paid by whoever to ceaselessly continue to cultivate hatred between Igbo and Yoruba... My brothers beware of them. It is a full-time paid job so please all Yorubas and Igbos on this platform should be aware of this. Whenever you see comments like this one above please know it's them and not a Yoruba or an Igbo person behind the keyboard.

My happiness is that what you are doing is one of the six things the Bible says God hates, therefore I curse you that any single kobo or naira you make from this devilish endeavor will only fast-tract the destruction of your family.

Let Igbos and Yorubas alone in this country, we will live side-by-side for ages with only minimal and negligible conflict as every other tribe of the south would.

Again, the destruction you're cooking is waiting for your own family,; God will not fail to visit you.

Have you heard of Yoruba killing igbos? What is wrong with you people? Who is schooling you on this? Igbos have proosered in South West than the Yorubas that have prospered in the south east and no one is complaining. If you still growing up thinking Yoruba hates Igbo, it is a pity. How often do Yorubas fight Igbos ? There could be probable tension but how many times have you heard of it escalating into killings?

The seeds of hatred planted in you must not be allowed to grow or transfer into the generation coming after you else , we will remain under the shackles of the northern oligarchy. Grow out of that stupid thinking bro and school others too. The North sees the while South as a threat not just the Igbos and the early the better we come together to achieve our Common goals instead of allowing them to plant seeds of discord between us in the South. I call for peace

Very true, I thank God it's not just some igbos that understand this.

Nairaland / General / How Jumia Scammed Me! by Amtrak: 12:55pm On Oct 13, 2020
I ordered a new laptop for about N125,000 from Jumia but when the delivery man came he arrived with package unwrapped. He said that he mistakenly delivered it to the wrong person but immediately collected it back as soon as he realised his mistake; and he was assuring me that there was no foulplay because the whole unwrapping took place in his presence.

I didn't like this at all so I rejected the package despite all his pleas: I told him it was nothing personal, but the wrapped package being intact is one of the few guaranties I had from Jumia. So later that evening, Jumia sent me their regular message whenever a package delivery was unsuccessful.

On the morning of the next day, Jumia sent me their normal delivery text. So later in the day, I met up with the delivery man - a different person this time. When we met, he sent me the package code and asked me to tell him what the code he sent me was; I told him correctly before he then released the package to me. Note that the previous delivery man didn't do this. And I wonder how he would make a mistake like he claimed he did if he actually did this before handing the package to whoever unwrapped it.

However, upon careful observation of the carton of the new laptop, I realised that it was the same package from the previous day; I didn't like this, but also felt I didn't yet have reason strong enough to make me reject the package a second time "since Jumia repackaged it in their office again they must have certified that there was no foul play". Nevertheless, I became worried when I unwrapped my package and took it out of the carton all to see that there were no manuals or product papers, and the inner nylon had been cut open with a blade - it was obvious, the laptop was compromised!

I was very unhappy with the situation but however wanted to see if I could still manage the laptop and avoid all the trouble. Nevertheless the situation got even worse when I discovered that the system could connect to my wifi hotspot, but could not browse no matter the browser I tried.

At this point, I got fed up and tried to contact customer service via telephone but the automated voice response said that as part of their measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 their customer care representatives won't be there to attend to complaints. So I searched for any other Jumia number but found it funny when I discovered that the same so called customer care representatives were available on a different line to take only new orders, but not to attend to issues of customer complaint. The customer service person I spoke with advised me to go online and fill their queries form that my issues will be attended to - I agreed, because what else could I do remotely?

I filled the form, went ahead to rate the product, and wrote a review; and on both sections I narrated my experience. They said they were going to refund me within a short while via JumiaPay. But I waited many days and didn't hear from them, so I went ahead to check for the form I filled and the review only to discover that Jumia had seemingly wiped off all records of such. Actually, before my decision to purchase the item I went through the product reviews to gain confidence in the best product. This particular product had over 100 reviews, all positive or okay. But as of the moment of writing this, this product has only one review!

The number of days for eligibility for return will expire on October 15, 2020, and I am writing this on October 13, 2020; however, it's funny that whenever I try to fill another form to return the package, and I select "Item received broken or defective" as my reason for return (the same reason I chose for the successful submission the first time), their system prompts me that my return is not eligible for this return reason.

My conclusion is that Jumia is scamming people because they feel they can get away with it, and they are also unknowingly covering up fraud perpetrated within their system by some members of their organisation because:

How will a delivery agent release a package without verifying the code of the receiver?
How will a manager within the office agree to repackage a compromised package in such a case?
How will a single negative review lead to the removal of over 100 previous reviews, mostly positive?
How is it that there are customer service representatives available to take new orders during COVID-19, but none is available to attend to a problem with an old order?
And how is it that I was able to successfully submit a return form based on the stated reason, and a few days later a return was no longer eligible for submission for the same stated reason?
Why is it that they are strangely silent over my query, and rather have made adjustments to bar unsuspecting customers form making any query submissions for the stated reason?

So many questions to ask, but let me stop here.

In case you work with Jumia and you're reading this, help uncover the fraud within your system; there might be a criminal ring within.
Politics / Re: Over 300 Army/Police Check-Points Choking South-East — Investigation by Amtrak: 10:22am On Oct 13, 2020
Very true report...

Each time I travel from Lagos to Port-Harcourt by bus, the number of police and army checkpoints from the relatively shorter distance of Asaba to Port-Harcourt is always greater than the number of check points from Berger to Asaba.

It's quite worrisome that sometimes while at a checkpoint you can already see the next one less than a kilometer away, and the police or army personnel don't care and will still stop and search you even though they sighted you being searched at the previous checkpoint. This is nothing but a seige.

Romance / Re: The Lady In My Life, My Burden. by Amtrak: 2:17pm On Jul 29, 2020
I think it's not a bad thing that you support her because that's mostly likely how you would have to sometimes support whoever you finally get married to until things get better with them (na normal couples life). Also, sometimes that fact that both parents are alive doesn't mean all will be rosy - this was my case back then.

However, my main advice is that you convince her to get married to you now because you're "in love with her". In addition to love, the real reason is so that you secure all your investments and sacrifices you're making towards the improvement of her life else you could lose her in the future as she might change when things become a little more comfortable (as is the case with many women).

Also, in whatever you're doing for her never forget to also use your resources to make yourself a better person so that you don't lose your charm over her: so in a nutshell, remain attractive so that you don't blame her for changing - remember, in a few years time she will be a medical doctor; what will you be by then?
