PalmTree: Here is one of the reasons why it's difficult to develop as a people. We always look for ways not to hold ourselves/families/loved-ones/tribes-men/leaders (political & spiritual) accountable. You could do literarily anything and an African will come up with an excuse to explain away what you did but will never hold you accountable.
Have you wondered if so many people who perhaps also "had life happen to them" lost the courage to ask for the kind of help she's now soliciting for or even the number of people who choose not to help someone with a similar need based solely on the strength of her ill-advised post?
You see, it's OK to overlook people's misdemeanours but we need to ensure that these people fully understand the implications of their actions whenever they are caught or in this particular case, when they do the same things they castigated people for. If we don't, they won't learn and we will have a generation of insensitive and entitled individuals roaming our streets.
Her post from 2022 broke-shamed people for doing the same thing she just did, so if people build on it to drag her, then, she had it coming. |

gidgiddy: The problem I have with people like FFK and Reno is their hypocrisy towards the January 15 1966 coup
There about 7 coups in Nigeria, but these hypocrites only remember one, the one they can call "Igbo coup"
The never remember Murtala Mohammed's coup that killed over 300 people including the head of state. They don't call it "Hausa coup". The notorious blood thirsty coup plotters called Murtala Mohammed is today one of the most honoured men in Nigeria, they even put him on the 20 Naira note
What about Buhari's coup thar overthrew the democratically elected government of Shehu Shagari? That same Buhari was elected President. Nobody calls Buhari's coup a 'Fulani coup'
What about Obasanjo that became head of State as a result of Dimkas bloody coup? He too was elected President. Was Dimkas coup a 'Yoruba coup'?
Only that first coup do these people remember Only that first do they talk about Only that first coup has ethnic tag
Had the ring leaders of that first coup been Hausa, nobody would be talking it today |

Skylord247: This fool thinks that it's about which tribe is on the Forbes list. How does that influence your daily life? Let me reset your brain ewu. The main reasons Igbos brag is because the Igbos have an equal distribution of wealth. Just take some time and visit igbo people, you'll realize that average igbo man is no where near being hungry. An average igbo man is comfortable and can fully feed himself, his family, buy his car and build his own house. Can the same thing be said about the yourbas and Hausa/fulanis with their plenty almajiris roaming every nooks and crannies of their streets. Bros, I've traveled to over 20 states in Nigeria, no region has an equal distribution of wealth close to the Igbos. That's why they tell you that "Igbo has no king" . Everyone na Boss for him house. reading this writeup reminded me of a certain video of group of some young Igbo men daring one Asian country police like that, I've forgotten the name of the country.
It is not chest-beating, I've encountered many daredevil Igbos, who would stand their ground against their oppressors, without minding what it might result in. That's one thing I respect about the Igbo man.
You don't have anything to worry about, if you're fighting side-by-side with an Igbo man in the face of terror. |

Unperturbedpota: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This tribe and propaganda!!!!
No be this same USA I dey?. Funny thing is you see them call the Igbos chest beaters but these guys always look for anything any anyOne says about Yoruba and are quick to popularize it even when the person is just trolling or totally insignificant 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Do you know how many foreign languages and cultures are propagated in tech daily ? Afrikaans is the number one recognized language from African continent globally yet you don't see the Zulus dancing that the white man has recodnized them 🤣🤣
I am sure the Nairaland tribe chiefs will be dancing to this mediocre news. This nigga using you all to troll
There is no where Yoruba is recodnized specifically. I live in the US and have family in the UK .
The UK metro police started employing Yoruba speakers solely for the number of crimes commited by Yoruba speaking people in the UK so they wanted to be able to intercept and decode the calls . Because these criminals use yoruba only to speak on the phone in texts and in emails so the UK metro police had to find a way to intercept this. But here they are dancing as if it's a positive reason they are employed😂😂😂😂
Don't believe me, contact the UK metropolice help desk ! This info is available to the public. Yorubas are profiled in the UK as the number 1 tribe that commits all cyber crime from Nigeria. Reno is just exposing it all, we all know. At one point it was the Jamaicans. Go to Peckham and Kent na Yoruba gangs full there 🤣🤣
Same way Italia police employ people who speak Esan in Palermo doesnt make my mum's people the main culture in Italy
Which Nigerian here in America won't tell yoú the truth that the Yoruba run gangs here?. They steal cars everyday and ship to Nigeria, na their work ! Plus Account hacking, Credit card fraud , identify theft that's what they do here in America mostly . They work with the Asians and are masters of all manner of tax frauds and such. The American police whenever they arrest Nigerian involved in fraud assume 100% you are yoruba . Facts only |

pocohantas: Since you already have POP cement and paint...
I will advise you take out the tyrods of your ceiling. That is those borders of the slate. It is something you can remove yourself.
Once it is out, your ceiling would be a flat surface with just the wooden edges exposed. Proceed to fill up the exposed wood with the POP cement. Smoothen properly, allow to dry and paint with white emulsion paint.
If you want, you can add get an electrician to add POP lights or just leave it bare
Screeding your walls and painting it won't give you the desired look if you ignore that ceiling and if you decide to fix the ceiling later, the process would ruin the walls.
POP on slate is ideal for people on a budget or minimalists. Most POP guys would refuse to do it because they rather you give them 200k.

WhisperedNoise: Statements like these sound humble but upon closer inspection, you'll find out that they're not.
Dangote is the richest black man in the world. He spends a considerable amount of time abroad. If he spends a chunk of time in the US, why shouldn't he have a house there?
Note that the cost of him paying for hotels will be astronomical...I mean, he won't stay in a two star hotel. Calculate the amount of hotel fees, and cross it against purchasing a house and see whether it makes sense.
Also, every man has a weakness. For Bill Gates, it's philanthropy. For Bezos, it's it's $500 million yatch. For some, it might be vintage cars. For some, Oyster watches. For some, horses. For some, houses. For some, clothes.
Let's not judge people because we don't fancy their proclivities. |

kevoh: You'd consume 600 tweets in 5 mins. The way twitter is built everything you do, intentionally or unintentionally, counts as a tweet. - You open twitter app even without reading, that's already ten tweets appearing as read. - Twitter loading up to 200 new tweets at once on your timeline, that's 200 tweets read as far as twitter is concerned, whether you scroll by, read the tweets or do nothing! See a better explanation in the picture below! |
Phones › Re: Twitter Limits The Number Of Posts Users Can Read Per Day by AmuRubber(m): 9:44pm On Jul 01, 2023 |
sureteeboy: A tweet scrolled past registers as a read tweet. We tend to scroll past a lot of posts on social media platforms while looking for the one that catches our attention. An average user will possibly scroll past 50 tweets in 5 mins or thereabout (either read or unread). That means he/she has about 1hr ±10mins to spend on the website daily before reaching the 600 mark.
On the flip side though, it might cure an addiction to the website |
