When the bible says that God gave his only Son, it seems like God is sacrificing something. How can he sacrifice something if he owns space, time, and existence, and is the master of life and death?

What is the sacrifice if His Son would return to Him anyways?

First: In the infinite time span of God, isn't a few hours of pain (even to a temporarily weakened son) meaningless when He has been around for infinite years billions of years into the past and always will be? The Son returned anyways. What sacrifice is there?

Second: "Only Son" is often emphasized. He is God. If He wished to overflow his Divinity eternally into multiple Sons and Daughters, begotten not made, as a divine Union of 10 or 100 parts, rather than 3 - He could have. This is treated as if God was subject to the unfortunate circumstances of having:

1. Only one Son
2. Had to sacrifice that only One Son.

Therefore, He loves us so much

When the reality is - what can the King of Heaven and Earth sacrifice anyways? All returns to Him and all belongs to Him. And second, if He wanted to have more Sons, and overflow his Divinity into them in pre-eternity assuming this "sacrifice" event meant something, He could have.

At no point did God lose anything, even for a moment. The Owner of Existence can't lose anything. Doesn't this make the entire thing kind of...meaningless? I just don't get it.

As you can even see, the devils are not always far off their swines. So one may ask before what time? Jesus knew the understanding of that time, but He did not know when precisely. so One is to come in his name, to understand that perhaps one must know what the name Jesus means.

Indeed, yes! you are right and i have not a single arguement about what you just wrote. Truely, Jesus did not die for all, He died for the ressurection of the mentally dead/the sheep. Nobody would have been able to kill Jesus if he wasn't ready to lay down his own life because he knew that He was almost 2000 years too early, thus He said One would come in my name, this does not mean Jesus of 2000 years ago. And like i said, you are right. Who are this mentally dead and the sheep?

The sins of today is so freaky in nature that if Jesus should come , He will tell GOD "wrong destination Father, i meant earth, not this planet sin" GOD will laugh, They thought you took their sins away, they want to escape judgement and punishments that follows. omo.... At JS1, i started getting ashamed of wearing new clothes.... As in new clothes as a whole even on non holiday time not to talk of festive seasons.... it's unfortunate how many people call themselves christians but actually hate Christ in their words and actions. i have observed with great dismay how here on nairaland many people specialize in running down, insulting and degrading pastors......just simply because they are pastors!! it's not just about pastor chris but about oyedepo, adeboye and others. we are indeed in the last days, i must say.

trinity co-equality is an error that must be rejected coz it is not in the bible..there is but one God the father known as Yahweh and one lord the man Jesus the son of God..thou Jesus is God but his subject under his father Yahweh. Everything has been given to the son by the Father, no dispute about that.

We only need to read the scripture deeper.
