The worst thread ever. They have used whatsapp groups to spoil everything. Many of them will be defrauded by scammers. Just waiting for anyone that will come here and complain!

bro, a good friend of mine got d job even with an obvious tattoo on his right hand. Everytin 4 9ja now na padi padi.
you saw part where i said everything depends on the chairman of the board. When i attended the selection board. Tattoo was abhorred and people were sent home for it. Any mark that indicates the flesh has been cut was a no no for them. That your friend scaled through doesn't mean it is the acceptable norm in the army. I will always give the right info. The chairman of the board in the year your friend got in won't be the chairman this year.

Ananne, good day. I was at the last naval selection board in Nov, 2015; up until now I don't know why I failed the medicals. Most of us were told by the medical director " you don't have any issues, you can go. The navy gave us some criteria but some of you didn't meet the criteria." However, a few candidates were invited back to see the medical directors, who hitherto failed the medicals. One peculiar thing abt the naval course 23 is that no one was evicted after the certificate screening. My questions are 1. From your experience with the Army, when candidates fail medicals, are they told what their issues are? 2. I have a scar (stitch)on my buttock as a result of an accident when I was a kid. Could that disqualify me during medicals? Thanks as I wait for your reply.
in te army, you are told the reason why you were disqualified. Though it may depend on how nice the chairman of the board is. But most times you are told the reason. The scar on your buttocks may the reason. The army frowns at tattoo or anything that shows a candidate may have had an operation before. At times when there are doubts, a candidate can be called back and the test is done again. So it depends.

This is the worst SSC/DSSC thread i have ever seen. Everyone is claiming to know it all. The thread has been abandoned for whatsapp groups where fraudsters will deal with people. From 2012-2015, many people who participated actively on this thread got into the army due to information gotten on the threads. Real officers share their experiences, many of us who have faced the board share our experiences. Would you rather not learn from people who have faced the board? Would you prefer someone who wants to answer questions within the secrecy of whatsapp groups? Many of us who are veterans of nigerian army applications are here. We dont comment because we see that this particular set dont want to learn. We will keep our informations to ourselves. We will keep watching till when the list will be out. I know by that time, you will come looking for information about the selection board. Till then, i siddon dey look like obasanjo.

nnacent:
Tv guard is a surge protector. but for too many substandard in our market, i usually recomend a brand known as Powermatic. If ur power supply is not too low or too high, only surge protector is ok. but otherwise, u will need a regulator(stabilizer) before the surge protector. This is because if d light is too low or too high, the surge protector wont work and that can be frustrating, leading to bypassing the surge protector risking your expensive gadgets.
thanks so much for your prompt response. Will a 0.5kva stabilizer be ok for a Samsung 32 inches led TV and a dvd? Can it also accommodate a home theatre if i buy one later. Or will it just be ok for the Tv and DVD. Awaiting your prompt response.

Hello spyder, nice work you are doing. I have been reading your other threads lately and i must commend you for the work you are doing. I earn an income of about 107,000 naira monthly. I have a half plot of land somewhere in anambra state. I want to build a 4 bedroom bungalow on the land. A friend asked me to start buy moulding blocks and buying some of the materials that i need. Initially i was waiting to start when i have saved close to a million naira. Started the job in january and now i have saved closed to 150,000 naira. What is your advice? Can i start small? Will be waiting for your reply.

Pls you guys are not getting the point. For SSC, females can apply and will serve in units that are not too close to the combat zone. We have combat officers in engineer corps, ordanance corps, S and T corps. We have combat officers in intelligence, military police and the like. The girls who made it to the screening in 2014 didnt make it to the board because of medicals. In DSSC, the army only asked fe,ales to limit their applications to medical, legal and PR because the only other lucrative corps listed which is aviation requires strong mental and physical skills. If you studied engineering as a female...pls proceed to SSC. You can be posted to the engineering corps after training....if the army doesnt want females in the combat arms, i will not state in the applications under SSC that females should apply. The caveat was only emphasized under DSSC because they know that females with engineering, physics and chemistry degrees will be attracted to the aviation corps,
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Army Dssc & Ssc 2015 Aspirants by ananne: 9:47am On Apr 21, 2016
Pls disregard the information here by a certain GEN(cinc) that females are not needed in the combat arm of the army. I repeat FEMALES can apply for SSC. Infact from my experience in 2013, they have a better chance of making it to training provided they pass medicals. After that, any remaining female is sure of making the final list. Medicals screened out most of the females. For DSSC, they can apply but there is a caveat, they are advised to go for the legal, medical and public relations.....i guess the army doesnt want females in the aviation corps due to the high level of physical and metal training required. So stick to their instruction. For SSC as long as you are a graduate and you are within the age limit...pls apply!

For those who studied chemistry and physics that want to apply for the fire fighting part. Pls go to google, type institute of safety professionals of nigeria, get on their site, check on their fire courses. They offer courses on fire fighting. But i will advice that you visit NCAA to get a list of organisations approved to run fire fighting courses. The course last for 3-5 days so you can get your certification even before the selection board. Just go to NCAA...they have offices in all our airports. Good luck.

Guys pls.....what is the rationale behind the supplementary list? I noticed that last year, all courses had supplementary lists with courses like economics having many people admitted in the supplementary list.

My question is....atfer the screening of those who made the merit list, will the number of people on the supplementary list be based on the number of people who failed the screenining based on subject confirmation and the likes.

What is the criteria used in choosing those who made the supplementary list?

Finally someone from the admission office told me that a few people who scored slightly lower than the merit cut off will make the merit list. This may happen in some courses.
EducationRe: Unilag 2015/2016 Admission by ananne: 7:35am On Aug 29, 2015
i believe there will be supplementary list for courses like pol science, economics after the screening. subject combination will affect a few people.
