Dr. Bappah Bichi: Good Riddance To Bad Rubbish.

As it were, the one time boot kicker of the Minister of Education and a host of people whom the Minister, Mallam Adamu Adamu holds in high esteem. Dr. Bappah Abdullahi Bichi would stride into the Minister’s residence before the Ministerial appointments by President Muhammadu Buhari. He would sit and join in discussions on a variety of issues including politics, governance and a lot of other subject matters

Dr. Bichi was a typical sycophant who would praise the Minister and President Buhari till we began to yawn with boredom. I engaged him in a lot of heated discussions regarding the new administration of President Buhari to the point that the Minister once told me, “Bello, do you not know we have people who actually support every single action the President took”? I became aware Bappah Bichi was one of such people. His script worked like magic

The Education Minister and even myself were firmly of the opinion that Bichi was a Nigerian to the core. He was a member of the transition committee. Upon the conclusion of the transition exercise, a friend of the Minister suggested he appointed this disciplined and dedicated university lecturer as his Adviser on Technical Matters. However, Dr. Bappah was not satisfied, he continued his pilgrimage to the Minister’s residence in his dilapidated Nissan Saloon car which belongs to the university he was lecturing.

Again, the same friends of the Minister asked the Minister to appoint him as the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Institutions Trust Funds. An office the Minister told me he got 26 letters from state governors lobbying for the seat to their various states knowing the importance of the office. Against all odds, Mallam Adamu Adamu made him the TETFund ES and at the same time, to show his greed, Bichi locked the office of Adviser (Technical) at the Ministry and left, leaving the office without a new occupant. Before you know it, Dr. Bichi began by showing disrespect to members of staff of the institution to the point that his arrogance made him commandeer one of the elevators as his’ alone.

Staff of the Fund began to reminisce on their former boss, Professor Sulaiman Bogoro. An extremely humble personality who assisted his staff in carrying files whenever he saw a staff clutching bundles of files. Bogoro was always full of life and smile. He was a very charismatic leader and was loved by every single staff of the organisation. A lot of TETFund staff were shedding tears as it was announced that Professor Bogoro was replaced with an unknown, lame duck and extremely arrogant and unexposed lecturer from the Bayero University, Kano.

No sooner had Bichi taken over, he began to undo a lot of very important programmes of the organisation even with the disapproval of the Minister. Bappah began to nail his coffin when the Minister heard what Dr. Bichi was engaged in during a meeting between the Minister and university Vice Chancellors who lamented to the awe and shock of the Minister. Adamu Adamu asked what were they beating around the bush for? And demanded they told him. A certain VC from a southern university garnered the courage to tell the Minister, “sir; we are finding it hard to remit the 25% of our allocations as we were ordered by the ES.”The Minister was livid with rage and asked what 25%? The Minster was shocked literally, when he was informed the ES asked them to remit the amount for “stakeholders” and “the Minister’s family”!

The Minister told them there and then that he never gave any approvals as such. That was the beginning of his woes at TETFund. Then Bappah Bichi began to nurse a gubernatorial ambition. A lot of people are still of the belief that Bichi had a hand in the Gqnduje Videos (though it is not proved as accurate yet) but, he began to travel to Kano; (his home state) and started sponsoring radio programmes where hired would go on air and spew all sorts of campaign jargon thinking he would appeal to President Buhari.

Bichi began a campaign programme so shamelessly with public funds dubbed “One To Tell Ten”! He was cautioned by the Minister to desist from such misadventure but his words fell on dumb ears of Bichi because he had infiltrated the so called “cabal”.

Bichi, equipped with his connections with certain people in high places, began to pay courtesy calls to the ICPC and EFCC. A trick he thought would guarantee his continued pilfering of resources for his personal gain.

Bappah was hated by every single member of staff at TETFund to the point that when the gentleman; Professor Bogoro was announced as the new ES, videos of jubilations by staff of the organisation almost made Bogoro shed tears as he was welcome back to receive the hand over notes by the once all powerful, arrogant and disrespectful Bichi.

I hope the EFCC picks him soon so that he may answer and vomit back whatever he siphoned for his political contraption which will never bring him anywhere near the Kano Government House. While I congratulate Professor Bogoro, I say good riddance to bad rubbish to Dr Bappah Abdullahi Bichi. As the saying goes, “be nice to the people you meet on your way up as they are the same people you’ll meet on your way down/“ Of all people, Bichi will never forget this adage!

I am using this opportunity to renounce my membership as an APC supporter. It wasn't easy. Each time I am supporting Buhari, I always heard the hidden voice of my conscience whispering to me. I can't endure it any longer.

The main reason why I withdrew my support from the PDP was that I love opposition party a lot. I have this affirmation that it helps to strengthens national democratic practice. APC may be the ruling party but they're already the main opposition party. But at the moment, I don't care if they're in the opposition party or ruling party. I'm only interested in distancing myself from them.

If Buhari were to be American President, Americans won't only send him out of White House, they will send him out of America.

This is no longer an issue of difference in political party. It's all about our country. It's all about Nigeria. It's all about placing an educated man at the helm of our national affairs. This is 2019, there's little an illiterate can do with power. Power without knowledge is a waste of electorates trust. People voted for you because they trusted and confided in you. They do so because they have confidence in your leadership style. Buhari has betrayed the hope of the common man. He has make void the expectations of the learned. 2019 in Nigeria now seem like 1914 in Kenya. Our major discus are now centered on cows and wild animals. This is not the change we bargained for.

You may have a point there, but remember that the worst and most ineffectual Nigerian President ever, GEJ, had a PhD. Or so they said

Ex-President Jonathan ensured that NASS opposition members were locked out including Tambuwa the Speaker of the house. They had to climb gate to gain access.

Jonathan empowered OPCs in Lagos and they were destroying anything in Ikorodu to Ojota that looked like opposition party. Orga of DSS was used to invade APC secretariat, Journalist arrested and Newspapers siezed, we forgot all these….

Ekiti was militarised, Fayose was given power from Aso rock to order Military guys at will. Fayemi the incumbent at that moment was rendered powerless that he was shouting when Police commissioner was used by PDP and a guy was shot…All these videos and pictures are still here (google is your friend). Ex-President Jonathan met FX+ECA at $62 billion+. He DEPLETED it to less than $30 Billion in 5 years Jonathan sold crude oil for 5 years at an average of $100 per barrel of 2.2 million daily (2010-2014). Did he add a DIME to Nigeria purse in 5 years? NO.

Buhari the ILLITERATE sold oil at an average of $50 of less than 700,000 barrel at some points because of militancy, yet had moved that FX to $47 Billion in 3 years.

Don’t say how much did he borrow if you don’t even have the figure borrowed between 2010-2015 without adding a dime to FX.

Who is the ILLITERATE? BUHARIIII. Jide Omokore, Aluko and oil goddess Alinson made an oil deal of N1 trillion and chose not to remit to Nigeria under GEJ. Did anyone raise eyebrow?

INTEL of Ex-Vice President Atiku refused to remit to Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA), not until last year that “ordinary” Hadiza the NPA boss challenged INTEL and insisted the funds must be remitted.

A Christian Professor had been leading JAMB all through Obasanjo to Jonathan yet for 40 years of JAMB; only N52 Million was remitted to FG.

Lagos-Ibadan road since Ex-President Obasanjo era till Ex-President Jonathan could not be finished. In 3 years of President Buhari, the road is receiving serious attention. Ask those who ply that road and those who go for Holy Ghost Congress monthly about
the difference in pace of work. Wait, even Otuoke road in Bayelsa had to wait till President Buhari now starts to do the road. Who is the failure? Can it be BUHARIIII.

What about “Almajiri School in the North? WHERE exactly are these Schools SITUATED in the North? OK, show us the picture.

Wait, I remember again your problem with President Buhari fighting corruption selectively. So, mention ONE name among those in EFCC case without a case to defend. If your hero Presidents had fought corruption with one leg, by now shebi it is the second leg that President Buhari will be fighting.

So what is your problem with the corrupt facing the music? Oh, how about blablablabla. If President Buhari did not catch them, somebody else will. It wasn't a mere coincidence that Obasanjo chose to vent out his buffoonic frustration a day after his ''anointed son'' Alhaji Atiku Abubakar hurriedly left the United States of America after some very patriotic Nigerians alongside some concerned Americans chased him alongside his other criminal colleagues out of a meeting where they were discussing how to sell the NNPC and then cripple the Central Bank of Nigeria just like he and Bukola Saraki his new boss killed Bank PHB and Societe General Bank respectively!

Some accounts even have it that Atiku Abubakar escaped with the little wireless microphone strapped to his body for his speaking engagement at the meeting because of the uncompromising stance of the protesters! And on the same day he arrived back home to Nigeria after the USA misadventure, Obasanjo saw how the great people of Jos thronged out in unprecedented sizes of multitudes to receive President Muhammadu Buhari contrary to the expectations of bigoted crooks like Obasanjo who expected that Buhari will be received coldly in the cities of the Middle Belt region!

While Atiku Abubakar came back from his US misadventure without pomp and pageantry, Buhari on the other hand was receiving the best rousing welcomes any politician will envy in this lifetime anywhere in the world. In effect, all the worthless hypocritical letters Obasanjo has been writing against Buhari alongside all the mischievous meetings and propaganda he and other crooks have had against Buhari merely became wasted adventures. This is enough to make a crooked old man like Obasanjo mad with intense fury!

If anybody will preach any sanctimonious sermon on democracy, election rigging, rule of law, accountability, integrity and honesty, then certainly that person can never ever be a shameless, thieving old crook like Obasanjo. This is the useless old man who as President slept with his son's wife after promising her some lucrative oil deals at the NNPC. His son sought a divorce in the courts and got it, with the sordid details made public. Was this not enough for this useless old man to have bowed his head in shame and become silently remorseful for the rest of his life?

No way! And that's because Obasanjo is either a dog or a chronic prostitute or both. Both dogs and chronic prostitutes have no shame anywhere and at any time. Or are we even talking of a man who robbed the Central Bank of Nigeria of billions of naira and bribed National Assembly members with 50 million naira each to unlawfully grant him a Third Term in office as President, or are we talking of a rough, gansterish old crook who would round up few members of state assemblies and compel them to impeach governors he didn't like? What manner of democracy will this serial undemocratic despot lecture people on? The man who shamelessly introduced what was called 'garrison democracy', or the man who shamelessly stood on a political campaign platform and declared that an election was going to be a do or die affair, or the man who serially bribed National Assembly members with public funds to impeach their presiding officers?

Where nobility, morality and integrity are concerned, Obasanjo cannot be there much less even open his mouth to speak. We know the reasons for his bottled up anger and frustration with the Buhari administration. With very little sums the Buhari administration has achieved some landmark achievements, including building a federal road to Ota town where Obasanjo lives! That's how to turn useless, corrupt old men into fools!

General Sani Abacha must have seen the future, and saw that this useless, shameless old crook was really going to be a useless old crook. But then, in our own time and style we are going to permanently shut up this useless, old scoundrel with our massive votes for President Muhammadu Buhari on FeBUHARI 16, 2019!
