Romance / Re: Is It Compulsory To Wash Your Husband's Clothes? by ancel(m): 7:28pm On Jan 02, 2010 |
Frontpage article? *Sigh* @Topic: Whenever people start asking if something is COMPULSORY in a marriage before they do it, it is a clear indication that love is heavily lacking. In a marriage, nothing is compulsory. If you guys can't work out something as simple as washing clothes, then get a washing machine or use laundry services. Haba, there are more complex things in marriage than simple laundry. If you can't stand the heat, just leave the kitchen. |

I wonder at these guys. They say Jesus was sent only to the Jews, and yet they say he is one of their prophets. Was Mohammed a Jew? Are you guys Jews? You just irresponsibly bend the words in the Bible to suit your own purposes! |

@Viaro: Thanks for the expose on Isaiah 61:1-2, that was great! I need to highlight something you wrote here: We have noted that this is not talking about a literal number of seven different spirits, and some translations have tried to proffer easier understanding of those verses by rendering them as 'sevenfold spirit'. However, in these verses, they are in consonance with the symbolism of the completeness of the workings of the Spirit of God. And that is what I believe too. Spiritual attributes are not just counted off the fingers like you're counting apple seedlings. The Bible is full of symbolism, and seven-fold indicates that He is full, complete, and lacks nothing. His sevenfold aspects show the fullness of His perfection, character, and might! Let me also remind us of that word hepta again in Genesis 4:15; "'So the LORD said to him, 'Therefore whoever kills Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold." [NASB] Does it mean that Cain will be avenged seven times? Of course not. It means a full, complete and perfect vengeance. See also, other references to spirits and sevens Mat 12:45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. Luk 11:26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Luk 8:2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, |

Obinoscopy:My point is that, just like a young mango tree that hasn't yet started giving fruit, has everything necessary within it to produce yield but it doesn't start yet, the same way humans reach puberty first before they are ready to start using it. Maturity is not all about the body, that's just a little part of it. Maybe God expects you to learn how to control the growth stage with your mind and spirit, just like trees too wait patiently until they are ready to start fruiting. Just my opinion. |

I too gbadun this viaro guy, me i just no get time for long tori. LOL isn't it funny that when they are trying to prove a point, they recourse to the Bible? And then they twist the scriptures like a wizened alfa's beard? And there we have this guy quoting Songs of Solomon and placing Mohammed there? The first day I came to Nairaland, I saw a thread where Abuzola and his less-outspoken compadres (all goons) were yelping that the book was evil and overtly e.rotic and should not have made it into the Bible. I weak sotay, I no fit even comment for that thread. And here, in the very middle, is Mahomet's (abi na Mohammed's) name? LOL your double-sidedness is only worthy of derision. Get THE life and stop blasting your own crotches while trying to detonate planes |

Islamic Scholar's words on Suicide bombing Shaikh Muhammad Nasir ud-Din al-Albani said; “…Now we come to suicide missions, we have come to know of this from the Japanese and their likes when a man amongst them would attack an American war ship with his fighter jet. He would blow up along with his jet, however he would inflict damage upon the soldiers in that American war ship. We say: Suicide missions in the present time, all of them, are not legislated (by Islam) , ”From the cassette recording, “The Verdicts of the Scholars concerning Assassinations and Bombings”, quoted in the book, “The Verdicts of the Scholars in Englightening the (Muslim) Nation”, of Jamal bin Farihan al-Harithi (p.76). Shaikh Muhammad bin Salih al-’Uthaimin said: “Indeed, whoever (intentionally) kills himself, then certainly he will be punished in the Fire of Hell, wherein he shall dwell forever”. (Bukhari (5778) and Muslim (109 and 110)).From Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen, Kayfa Nu’aalij Waaqi’unaa al-Aleem - page 119 There are too many ignorant Muslims in this world, and they will roast in hellfire. Chei. See wahala. |

Obinoscopy, thats the same way he gave you your dongle to use in urinating straight from birth. So it has other uses apart from sexual use, too; the same way your hands and feet have other uses apart from business. So who defined the ideal marriage as 25 or 27? Did God tell you that? In life, great things are achieved after proper attention and nurture over a period of time. I can say that maybe He allowed you to reach an early puberty so that you can PREPARE for settling down a short while later (define a short while. it may be one year or even 15, it's your boot). Or would you want to be (or have) a spouse who is still having mixed-up feelings about sex, pubescent confusion and emotional urges? |

Abuzola, the new testament did not make the Old testament worthless, it builds upon it. It's like saying that calculus makes arithmetic worthless, or a university education makes your secondary school education worthless? Or maybe for people like you, it did? |
Religion / Re: Between Jesus And Mohammed! by ancel(m): 12:53pm On Dec 31, 2009 |
JCross don't mind the cretins on the thread. That was the point I was trying to make: there is a difference between political wars (for the sake of territorial protection and so on), and religious wars that are started just to prove that a deity is more superior than another, and thus force submission. @Others: I know that some Christians in the past have conquered countries in the name of religion, but they did it in error and Jesus never asked them to so don't drag Jesus into this mess that Mohammed was notorious for. See Ilosiwaju's quote some posts earlier, as an example. |
