There have been 4 democratically elected leaders from the North, they were all from the core North and muslim. After Tinubu, a 5th democratic leader will likely come from the North again, he will be from the core North and muslim. For a region that physically makes up the bulk of Nigeria and insists they are the most diverse and accomodating, they need to start showing it, and this INEC appointment is not even coming close to changing the narrative of "born to rule" for just one section of a supposedly cosmopolitan area. |
I don't believe Wike is telling the truth about his age. I have never believed it. |
Mercy1978:Imagine a Rep that is silly enough not to know the size of where he is representing. A big shame that this is what a whole Ibadan could send to the centre..... 25k sqkm indeed. |
AMINDA:You always had a choice. First of all, stop having children you cannot take care of. Even the Arabs with their relative wealth, do not have wives and children they cannot take care of (unless Yemen has now become the perfect example of a muslim dominated state). Next, if your leaders cannot control themselves and continue to steal our commonwealth more than any other part of the country, they should learn to share properly, or better yet create wealth (like Dangote), or do they intend to bury themselves with all the loot they have taken? Thirdly, emphasise education, education , education like Emir Sanusi keeps telling you....Nigeria's population means this country will always be competitive and we will never be able to go back to the days where the state or a traditional body can take care for everyone. Your people must be ready to compete with the rest of the world and stop shoving quota system down our throats while holding us back in NIgeria Lastly, charity begins at home. These terrorists are known to you and to you alone. One thing I respect about the East is they use their full chest claim their IPOB problem...they are not pretending like those people are unknown to them. Your people are blaming everyone but yourselves for Boko Haram. Even the foreign element inside it, your people have lived with them and known them for centuries. Till now you refuse to close your borders, even temporarily! Own your insurgency (which is what your problem is), and deal with it in your local way...instead of blaming your minority Christians, Nigeria and even faraway Israel,USA and Palestine, where nobody knows you people. |
Commentor:Those who have experienced life and have home training know clearly who is being more sincere. It is funny though, that the same journalist that was caught for doing "big manism" when nobody was watching is now the hero of the gullible movement, as usual. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKvCmnjGqWs?si=rVOTt0PKIrfNav1O |
AMINDA:I am surprised you didn't welcome this for one of your former shining lights.....or does it only make sense if the pardon had come from a Northerner? |
LibertyRep:He fell because he was a hypocrite and a pretender....but to be fair, they all are.....which ultimately means he fell because he was caught. Anyway you are right though, with the way he was going at that time it looked like he was destined to become speaker or even a minister. |
illicit:So he should be dressed in Leopard skin abi, disreagrding the fact that most pictures of Mandela are him in suits? |
jmoore:By there fruits you shall know them. No unnecessary chest beating, no name calling, no insults. By the way, I am a bit disappointed that a Nigerian newspaper needs to cull this from a foreign site. |
helinues:If they sue him for that statement now you will see him saying he was speaking "figuratively".... honestly the kind of lawyers we are producing nowadays, talking lies in front of a camera just for clout and small publicity. |
Esthered:Is Oluwole no longer in Lagos Island....or would you like me to draw you a map ? |
Esthered:https://punchng.com/169-traders-demand-n3-4bn-compensation-for-oluwole-market-demolition/ Even after the original statement stated it clearly you still need to be spoonfed. |
koning:https://www.nairaland.com/8505642/alaba-rago-lagos-government-demolishes https://www.nairaland.com/7869636/jankara-bombata-pelewura-markets-demolished Where was your ferocious voice in these threads when demolishing these markets were discussed? |
donmixc:It is not unaaa fault....we now have people speaking with East African accents from the south shey? I wonder which southern tribe in Nigeria were you looking for trouble with sef |
Kennyfancy:A military doctor needs "mental' training ? Do you even have life experience? She is lucky it was from this cadre she married, if he had experienced more "violence" up and close he would have never fallen for her tricks and underestimated her. It is well, they will handle her properly... a woman that one married for not even up to a year, what could she have gone through that could justify this....chai |
One thing I don't understand about these LP people, why can't they even decamp to PDP, SDP, APGA, ADC or something else.....why must it always be APC? Please you people that told us LP "top to bottom" and that this is the change that we need, can you give us an answer? |
lexy2014:No they are not, but you knew the answer to that already ![]() I'll also add, that in my experience, most politicians around the world aren't interested in serving anyone either, besides themselves and the small group of people they really deem important. |
Rufai isn't a journalist. He isn't interested in reporting facts/truth and trusting the audience to make up their mind for themselves, he wants to tell you what to do and how to react. He wants to wield power and wants to wield control, he just doesn't know how to do it. To be honest, there are a lot of journalists we have in this country that aren't skilled enough to stop their mask from slipping, they want to be politicians and political influencers but are unsure they can garner support. At least Sowore stopped pretending and became a man and chased his dream. |
Do we have any civil engineers here? I don't like trusting politicians though I must admit I see some sense in why cost per km could be misleading in a project that needs to pass through different states and terrains. Is cost per km a bit of a silly question? Please experienced civil engineers, help us out. |
This country has to many mafias operating unchecked. Just see the way Nigerians are suffering now with the price of cooking gas and the unnecessary interruption to power supply, over what exactly?? |
Blessedarethepe:Na wa oooo, even to read something properly de hard some people. |
treesun:Though I agree with the sentiment, Shettima does not know how to talk. "Nigeria" which started off as a geographic expression, can never be greater than the people within it. The people make Nigeria and not the other way round. The project should be protected and defended because it benefits the Nigerian people at the moment, simple..... and that is all he had to say. |
stuffs2002:You have either not travelled enough abroad, or visited enough high brow places in Nigeria. |
Gboom:This is not in Nigeria and so it's obviously not 1004 either. Though it does have some similarity to it though. |
Review the price, it's not realistic at all for a 2012 vehicle. |
FarahAideed:I agree with this. They will likely still not complete with the budget they have apportioned, as that is our way. |
owobokiri:This is where the lazy youth theme comes in. There are so many realistic examples that could have been used to show that the Lagos-Calabar is vastly overpriced but una just had to go for the most outlandish option, as usual. There are so many ways you could have verified what he was saying was true, the easiest being common sense, as how can any one wake up and imagine that a 10,000 km road can be built from scratch for $1.6bn..... I just tire for una
|
dre11:A great writeup by a true patriot. In saner countries, heads would have rolled since over this Ozekhome embarrassment. |
Mary2004:If the spasming is continuous you need to go to the hospital and seriously consider the surgery. As for managing it, try things like taking flaxseeds and chia daily, it helps a lot in helping your system go more naturally and regularly. Try grinding the seeds and turn them into powder that you add to your food daily. Also, start taking a lot of Rosemary, and I mean a lot....its a super herb that will naturally make you feel far much better and healthier. |
Heffalump:And the other people that have been working in the other companies with children to feed and school fees to pay will fold their hands and watch them abi?? |
Softmirror:Oga, you have already admitted you did not read what Jonathan said earlier. Go and read that instead of disturbing everyone and quoting everyone when you don't even know what people are arguing about. I supported Buhari based on exactly what Jonathan said. There is no need for Garba Shehu to wake up one day and start rewriting history. |
To be honest, with the internet, I wonder how sensible youths still fall for politicians traps by believing everything they say when a simple google search will show you that almost all of them speak from the 2 sides of their mouth on every issue. Well done to the person who found the article but everyone that doesn't have the memory of a goldfish knew there was nothing wrong with what GEJ said earlier |
