I laughed and sighed out loud when the usual suspects claimed Bokku was anti-igbo, because of the knowledge I had about the owner.
My colleagues had pitched to him in a work meeting a few years back so I was waiting for when his real ethnicity would be revealed and what the tribal warlords would have to say then
Just surprised it took so long to unravel, but I've since long known that the real smart and successful Igbomen are never loud anyway.
"Pesin buy oyinbo wife and 4 children , come start affair with daughter again"....
..... honestly I am speechless, usually we have been hearing how wicked Southerners are with polygamy, but trust North to break all records and set a new "gold" standard.... Ned Nwoko, abeg u have not sinned
In this case, since he had true local support, was a teacher and beat a man who had stayed for 20 years and not achieved anything worthwhile, I have nothing to say but to wish him the best.
Kalulu44: Since I have been on social media for the past 20yrs or so. I used to see this kind of messages once in awhile and it irks me so much that I barely think about them nor do what the senders always wants me to do. Most times, the senders are people very close to you or your bosses or acquintainces. I always ignored them, cus they look and sound childish and stupid to me. . Now, my 18yr old boy sent this to me ystday or so. Uptil now, I haven't even reply him nor what to exactly to say to him. I don't even have any positive thing to say to him nor wish to send it to anyone. I am just thinking what to tell him for such msg I have detested my all life. What should I tell him guys? Or just completely ignored him and pretend I didn't see the msg?
Do your fatherly role and explain to him why sending these kind of messages are wrong, especially for a man, who should know better and is suppose to be the "stronger sex".
Its only Nigerians I am aware that do this stupid thing.... Nigerians and probably other weak peoples struggling with inferiority complex trying to masquerade that they have some sort of divine calling to bless and send rubbish.
The threat at the end always reveals their weak nature and true intention.
The Almighty God that gave us freewill doesn't force us to bow to him, its now whatsapp message one should be afraid of shey !
saphiere: There should be a legal law jailing these men. And for the women, they should learn to stay faithful
If I was to pray that God will bless you with the most loveliest of sons and a corresponding woman that does this needful evil to him, maybe then your eyes would be clear.....
Anyway I wont. What you wrote was silly/witchcrafty and you know the proper order it is suppose to be.
This banker (turned governor) needs to tell us what he knows about Deizani's loot and how he became an overnight billionaire.....nothing less, nothing more.
oche2020: Read it very well before commenting they said the press men should leave so the law makers can have access to the file because they have the right to have it, but not to the press people. It's the refusal of the law makers to ask the press men to leave that prompt JAMB official to leave not every information is meant for the press.
Oga give me an example of what information JAMB, a public regulatory educational body, will have and not want the press to know?
I already know this is either about their salaries and bonuses or their expenditures...it is ok for the press to post all manner of things about what lawmakers earn and spend but these JAMB directors are all of a sudden untouchable shey??
Some of you sef, you don't think deeply about matters.
Have you already forgotten that it was because of these same oversights that we found that snakes have graduated to swallowing money in JAMB?
FreeStuffsNG: I am not sure that you read the report. Smh.
That you're a lawmaker doesn’t automatically grant you security access to sensitive information let alone to the media without appropriate clearance.
Las las, JAMB will still not release the sensitive information to the media but will release it exclusively to only those members of the committee. If the sensitive information gets to the media, it is the members of the committee that will be held by D.S.S.
They think that they can intimidate the man and make him forget that he's there to represent the executive arm of government.
Now I understand why JAMB Registrar sent such an experienced Senior Officer to represent him.
Which kind of rookie legislator is this for God's sake. Just clear the media for such period requested and call the media back afterwards! It's serious business and not content creation for the media.
That legislator, Mr Obuku Oforji, must be reported for appropriate investigation and sanctioning if he breached the rights of those FG officials and intentionally wanted to embarrass JAMB.
You are writing nonsense.
Lawmakers have the right to force JAMB to release any documents they want to them, and what exactly is JAMB hiding that is a matter of National security?
Our lawmakers are a useless bunch, I agree, but this time they are right and the JAMB director was wrong.
writetopoker: i can bet you that a nigerian is involved in this. the mind, calculation and work involved is pure nigerian oriented
Stop talking crap.
If you know the UK at all you will know this was done by Whites, only they'd have the audacity and the stupidity to think they'd get away with this.
Go and read up on the great train robbery and other silly conquests, this is their hallmark.
Funnily the police will get the robbers soon anyway, the amount of people that can successfully operate that crane with such precision will make investigating this easy.
bazoodo: one man catering to people in Texas alone would be richer than Dangote. Africans are poor and these stuff only make them poorer
One man will never corner a whole US state like Texas...that is the difference when you have a serious elite class who can't rely on corruption to ensure their billions keep rolling.
Let them enjoy their Trump made bullet riddled paradise in peace
Though I guess the reason why he is explaining is to encourage this generation and give them some sense of pride....but alas, he is unaware of the materialistic, unserious and defeatist generation we have nowadays.
The power structure within Tinubu's administration is a complex web of formal positions and informal relationships based on decades of trust, loyalty, and political alliances. Key influential figures include:
Oluremi Tinubu (First Lady): As the president's wife and a former senator, she wields "soft power" and has a significant, influential role as a critical support system and proxy within the government's initiatives.
Kashim Shettima (Vice President): He plays a significant role, particularly in economic matters, and is a trusted confidant whom the President considers a key member of his "think-tank".
Femi Gbajabiamila (Chief of Staff): As a long-time mentee and the president's gatekeeper, he controls access to the President, manages appointments, and coordinates much of the presidency's operations, making him a central figure in the power structure.
Wale Edun (Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy) and Yemi Cardoso (Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria): The government's economic policies largely revolve around these two figures, who are trusted by Tinubu from their time working together in the Lagos State government.
Nyesom Wike (Minister of the Federal Capital Territory - FCT): Though a member of the opposition party (PDP), Wike is one of the most powerful ministers due to his strong personal relationship with Tinubu and his control over the politics in the oil-rich Rivers State, which he has leveraged to the president's advantage.
Nuhu Ribadu (National Security Adviser): He is one of the few people who consistently has the President's ear on critical national security matters.
Seyi Tinubu: The President's son is also a power center, particularly among the youth demographic and some ministers who are said to defer to him on certain issues.
This is a media list with only the first name being right.
Truths9ja: In the next 10 years, dangote will be in the first. 10 richest men in the world 🌍
You have a point.
People continually underestimate the power of population.
If only one man is consistently catering for the essential needs of 200m people because other rich people are to greedy and government is too inept, please tell me why he wouldn't be top 10 with such a huge constant market !
Anyway, I am happy his fellow Kano Billionaire, BUA is providing us with options.
Thank you...a Man with no honour wonders why his children cannot get jobs because of his name?!
Only in Nigeria will a shameless man who repeatedly fails to honour his word ( with a criminal past ) be someone to reckon with and be asking us stupid questions!
Chimex002: “My Shop Was The Only One Demolished By The Lagos State Government Simply Because I’m The Only Igbo Person Who Owns A Shop There. I Did Noth
I feel sorry for him but this victimisation thing is getting tiring and repulsive.
He clearly states that they want to do road and gutter and he definitely isn't the only Igbo man who has a shop on the street, so why must we always get this tribal card played??
Now I'm beginning to understand how some whites feel when blacks make everything about race...which is a sad thing for me as a blackman who has experienced "actual" racism to even say!!
hegelian: im sure she jubilated and danced when hamas invaded isreal and killed thousand of peoples ...he should face hamas for bringing death to their door step...your fight should be with those that swore to protect you just like our fight is with nigeria government that swore to protect us not boko haram or herdsman or bandit
What if she or her father did not and were against Hamas even before the attacks, would that have stopped the bullets and bombs from claiming there lives?!
Some of you self are just so ridiculous... have you seen a pastor or any holy man get caught up in the rain and not get wet?
Anyway, if you like don't pray that you don't get caught up in a conflict, just like some moslems initially celebrated when Boko was only attacking their christian neighbours, and has now made there own lives unbearable.
ChiefOloye: While I can't say anything about the % from the Southern Regions, but you see those Northern States, at least 70% of their entire population live below abject poverty.
Oga, try and read slowly.
It is not disputing that 70% of the North is poor.
All it says, for every batch of 100 poorest people in Nigeria (using that benchmark for simplicity), 82 or more will be found in the North.
I am happy as most people are being sensible on here.
We need less states (and politicians) and what we should be thinking is how to merge some of the most redolent and lazy all over the country.
We all know the main aim of this is for our redundant politicians to create more job opportunities for themselves and their lazy families for eternity!
nairalanda1: The pitch looks like a FIFA standard artifical football pitch which costs 530000 dollars to 1.3 million dollars.,,or 100000 dollars to 700000 dollars.(looking up 2 estimates on the web)
I suspect most of the money went to the pitch installation. Leaving limited money for the stands.
This is speculative, of course...until we see the actual costs breakdown. But that ain't an ordinary grass pitch...it would cost too much to maintain long term
Of course, corruption. But it is possible that some of the money went to foreign experts who installed the pitch..doubt any nigerian company can do that now.
(Uyo stadium cost 96 million dollars by the way)
N.B: I am not excusing any stealing or corruption, or denying that there was corruption in the project...abeg.
Modifed
It just crossed my mind that there was some under-the pitch drainage (no, not your drainage you know!), put in. Putting in a drainage system at 5 dollars per square foot, and noting that a soccer field is 81000 square feet...that's about 430000 dollars for drainage system
I also came across maintenance and replacement costs, which I will not include here for now.
You seem to be the only one with sense in this whole board.
fuckingAyaya: Fantastically corrupt nation see how they be disgracing themselves before the whole world, if Obi speak about same stadium they would call him names. Is FIFA also "Agbotikuyo" ? See how person use $1.2milllion build where them dey rear cow
If you went to school, even looking at the equipment being used in the 2nd picture should tell you that there is no way those equipment will be used to construct something of $1m let alone something 100 times that amount.
fergie001: FIFA has changed its X and Facebook headers to the $1.2 million stadium built by the NFF in Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi State
The World's football governing body, FIFA via its Forward Program (launched in 2016), reported it has spent, through the Nigerian Football Federation, about $2m in building an artificial pitch in Birnin-Kebbi and another under construction in Ugborodo, Delta State.
Football enthusiasts have called out the NFF former and present Executive for having embezzled the funds.
@spartankimmich
@c_mobike
NFF reacts
In this day and age, with all the technological advancements we have, it should take you a minute to see through fake news if you do not have an agenda.
I agree NFF is corupt but is it by actively lying and posting clearly false information that we will get them to behave.
The stadium you compared that field with in Kenya is called the Talanta Stadium, a 60,000 seater funded by the Kenyan government for $344 million.
Almost all of us watch the EPL and are aware of house prices currently, how anyone can expect one to build a stadium for $1.4m is beyond comprehension.
Emu4life: The environment looks very serene and beautiful. Don't mind relocating to this kind of environment to leave a peaceful life
The environment is actually beautiful for football and players, but criminals, herdsmen and terrorists will have a field day harassing spectators/audience in our current reality.
