Dam5reey recently did a video of the 1.5kw Haisic inverter carrying an inverter AC rated 1.5hp on a battery of only 100ah till it died (over an hour)! Lets see a lead acid lover try that test with even a 200ah battery!

It seems that Haisic inverter is the real deal so you maybe able to get away with it occasionally.

Book session with Dam5reey to open the battery.

Thereafter you can write to FCCPC to handle the case for you. I doubt you will spend anything using them compared to the police route, though their action may not be immediate but I see no hurry.
@KudozInteriors

I said I wasn't going to advise you on what to do but letting these people get away with this scot free is the worst outcome.....and despite the lessons you learn I believe you will still regret it.

Take Jurors's advice seriously, book a session with Dam5reey, let him open the batteries and reveal this to the whole world on his Youtube and Tiktok channels. He'll probably hit a million views on only this case.

Callout Sako, callout Alaba, callout the fake PRO....no one will touch you once it gets on social media. Sako China will want to intervene to save their name, Alaba yeye market will want to intervene to reduce their useless name going around....no one will touch you.

Also you can report to FIJ journalism, they will take up the case and publish it on their website.

would 600-800k be enough to cover everything? including equipment purchase and cost of installation?
Definitely your budget is fine as long as you don't include solar panels, and likely you may not need them unless you have moved to a place where transformer packups on a regular.

So like someone recommended:

450k- haisic lithium battery 12v280ah 4kw ( really 3.7kw)
200k- 12v haisic inverter

You could save on the inverter by buying a used 12v inverter (70k) or even a sachet inverter (100k) ,but you would need to buy an external charger if you go the sachet route ( 40-80k).

As for workmanship, this is extremely basic and even a good electrician can sort you out, so you could get awy with paying him 40k (not inclusive of wires and materials).

So it can definitely work with your budget....and please don't spend too much on the inverter as you will likely graduate from a 12v system when family comes.

This is the wattage I got from the panel this afternoon but the inverter was showing 547watts or so.
(NB: I attached picture from shunt below)

And on the day this system was finally installed, I asked the installer why the wattage on that hot afternoon was only 300watts. He said that it’s because that’s what the inverter needed from the sun to both charge the batteries and give me light. He now asked me to add more load to it to see how it behaves. I added more load and it rose up to above 700watts that day. He said if I keep adding more loads, it will keep increasing and taking what it needs to both give me light and charge the batteries. I don’t know if this is true though I saw it with my eyes.

After that day, when they said that the battery has been dying fast because I was charging it at 60ahms instead of 15ahms. The distributor gave him directions on how to reset my inverter and I don’t know what he did reset on it that day.
What exact time in the day did you take this picture and was the sun out?

Also like someone pointed out, your batteries have never shown a level where they look like they are getting full charge (voltage should be a minimum of 27.6v ).....I am guessing this installer has gone to go and use some yeye lead acid profile for you.

In short, I doubt there is a way around this, you will need to do a complete reinstall by a competent person.

Guys please i plan on getting a 200ah lithium battery (or two 100ah ones) and i plan to run them with solar panels.I'm new to this solar thing and I'm a single guy in my 20's and will soon be moving out of my parents house. I don't want to have anything to do with generators and i want to be completely off grid. I've already paid for a single room self contain and i've bought a single 40watt standing fan(for my room), four light bulbs(one 20watt and three 10watts) and a new laptop that has a battery capacity of 68wh. Those are the only things that would consume electricity in my apartment, asides other very minor things. My worry now is that would 200ah be too much or too little for my electricity needs? i need to charge my laptop at most 3 times a day (under intensive use), two of the bulbs would be in my room while the others would be in the kitchen and bathroom respectively(i would rarely need to use those two). the bulbs in my room would typically be on from 6pm to 12am(when i usually sleep) and the fan is the only thing that i think might need to be on 24/7 (not necessarily though).
Your initial plan to get 200ah worth of lithium to be totally free of generator wahala makes sense if you ask me.

Though to be honest, I wish people would just mention their budgets so advice can be short and straight to the point.

Also don't go for a solar generator, it makes very little sense unless you intend to be living in different places and be carrying it with you.

Sure sir
I’ll do so.

I’m using a 3.5kw Sako hibrid inverter

The panels I are 4pcs of 550 watts panels for now. 2 of which are Canadian but I didn’t trust their production. They produce about 76volts together despite having 42 volts written on each. I had to but the remaining two myself. I get about 160v now.
So that's simple, under the conditions I gave, you are looking to get an instantaneous reading of 1.4kw at least at some point. Lets even be sure it can even do one 1kw first sef.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AndroBlaze: 10:44am On May 15, 2025
KudozInteriors:
I’ve told him to come and carry the 2 panels he got for me and balance me my money. I think the ones I got are doing better. I don’t even know how to confirm that even though I read that shunt can be used to confirm the capacity of panels.

It's simple, your panels are connected directly to the inverter right? All you would need to do is drain your batteries one day and let your inverter charge it only from the solar. Make sure its a sunny day and the readings you see from the shunt will be what's going into the battery.... you are looking for around 75-90% of the stated wattage on the panels when the sun is properly out.

The installer got a bad battery for me at first and told me that the product he wanted buying wasn’t in the market. I was very angry with him and asked him why he didn’t call me. I didn’t even use the first battery at all. I asked him to return it the next day. He said we should buy Sako buy that it’s not the same price. I was already getting fed up with the whole stories. Out of trust, I involved my friend that is a PRO in the market and sent the balance for the Sako battery to him and asked him to help my installer before those guys will give him another nonsense battery because I was beginning to doubt the competence of my installer but I felt that involving this guy as a PRO/task force officer in Alaba, the distributor would respect himself and give my installer the correct thing. We have returned battery to Alaba more than 3 times since I decided to go on this journey. It’s been so much stress.

I have not called the PRO yet as I don’t know how best to handle this matter but I’ll definitely have to go to Alaba myself with the installer. He has been begging me that he didn’t know anything about what they planned because he’s aware that I wanted to arrest him. My wife had been begging me not to arrest him yet that he might not be a party to the dirty plan really.
I said I wasn't going to put mouth in this again, but your wife is wrong.

The installer was part of it, there is no doubt, unless he is truly an electrician and an illiterate, that's the only way you can exclude him.

They likely just removed the cells in the Sukhig battery you rejected and transplanted them into the Sako casing, which is why that battery will even struggle to do the 2.5kw for 100amps sef!!

Please, like I said, make sure the lessons you learn from this experience exceeds the money you've temporarily lost ooo.

The installer lives close to me. He travelled and came back two days ago. He came to my house yesterday and I told him that I bought a shunt to test the battery capacity. I’d already asked the Sako distributor at Alaba if the battery he gave to me was 25.6v; 200ah and he was beating about the bush but later answered me that that was the battery given to me.

The installer called me back few minutes after leaving my house and told me that the distributor called him and told him that one of my friends at Alaba who happens to be a PRO there and works in their task force caused the whole issue. I contacted that my friend when they first sent me one battery called Suhkig and I rejected it. So I called him to help me go and make sure those distributors give my installer a good and renowned product. They said the PRO came and met them ahead of time and discussed with them on how to make money from me. They said he told them that I’m like a brother to him and that anything he tells me in Alaba market, I’ll do it. They said they had to record the conversation as they were scared it might backfire. I sent their balance to this PRO so that once he confirms everything , he will transfer to them. So they gave me a bad battery because according to them, he didn’t give them the complete money. This PRO at Alaba has been like a brother to me for the past 5 years. I bought almost all my appliances through him and he has never sent a bad product to me before. I just call him and he meets the direct importers and tells me the price of any commodity I wanna buy and it’s always cheaper than normal market price. I in return bless him financially and with airtime severally.

So, they said that if he can return the money he withheld, they will give me my complete 5Kwh battery. I’ve just been in shock since.
Anytime Nigerians want to do fraud that's when their thinking caps will switch on and they now turn into Ocean's 11 allstars.

One of the reasons this thread exists is to encourage us to walk this solar journey ourselves, as much as we can. That's why people were encouraged in the beginning to start reading from page one, to arm yourselves with as much information as one can. I think we need to bring that back.

I am sad this turned out this way but I think you've gained something more valuable than the money you've been temporarily dispossessed of so far. I am almost certain you will smile back at this experience at a latter date.

I will not advise you further how to handle these people as I believe you'll handle them appropriately.

Again, wishing you the best bro and looking forward to when you have your system properly setup.

One last thing though, did you mention you have solar panels.....because the authenticity of that will need to be confirmed also.

I will need to check the cut off date for that data. Probably it is old data.

But then Again, Airtel Africa has a parent Company that is listed in another stock exchange. Since the parent company is the majority, the company where it is headquartered/Listed is what will take the glory. Just like SEPLAT Energy is listed both in NSE and the LSE, the glory will not go to Nigeria alone even though it is classified as a Naija company
No, that would be wrong also. Airtel and Airtel Africa are different entities. One may own substantial shares in the other but that doesn't change the fact that they exist without needing the other and if the parent Airtel crashed for some reason, we in Nigeria can simply buy the public shares and keep the name or name it something else.

So no serious financial report can use that as a criteria for exclusion.
BusinessRe: Only 3 African Countries Host Companies Worth Over $1 Billion by AndroBlaze: 9:36am On May 15, 2025
larryUG:
Lol. On the surface it seems that the report is wrong, but it is not. You are right that Ethiopian airlines is worth over a billion dollars, but it is wholly owned by the Ethiopian government and hence not listed on the Ethiopian Stock exchange, and for that same reason, NNPC limited which would have ordinarily made the list, will not be considered because even though it is now and a LLC, it is still owned by the government. It is not a privately owned company. MTN is listed in Nigeria, but majority of its Nigerian subsidiary shares is owned by the parent company listed in SA, hence it will fall under the domiciliation of SA, not Nigeria. Dangote is that one company that was listed. The report is correct. Individually owned companies like Globacom will not be considered for same reason I mentioned above because it is not listed on the NSE.
I don't think you are right. Dangote will not be the one company listed there as Airtel Africa is actually the most valuable company on the Nigerian stock exchange (last time I checked sha).

But I agree with your methodology that he can only use publicly listed companies to come to his conclusion. Though I still think we should have more than one on that list unless he is using old data.

yes the voltage regulator is connected and powering the entire flat including the inverter. The grid literally comes in through the stabilizer.
Maybe others can come in with their personal experiences here, but I don't believe a stabilizer (NOTE: this excludes a regulator) and an inverter is a beneficial partnership nor are they designed to get along. My experience says stabilisers don't play well with anything else that also manipulates voltage (but this was my 1st experience with an inverter which is almost like 15 years ago, probably designs have changed).

Let others who use the combo chip in, but I think you need to ditch the stabiliser, that's if its a stabilizer you are using and not a regulator.

Oh, and what I mean by differentiating the 2 is that a stabilizer can collect low or high voltage and emits more useable voltage while a regulator will simply cut it off if the voltage is too high or too low and not pass anything through.... this could make a big difference to an inverter, with the latter likely not having any negative effect at all.
