In fact Omotola, you are right in whatever you are voicing out herein. PHCN is a curse to Nigerians and the worst thing here is that the same NEPA staff who are thieves were still the people handling the PHCN. When they want to share bill, they start flashing light and disconnecting people. Once they are through, you cannot see light again until when they want to share the next bill.

The worst thing here is that people still allow they enter their street and cutting light. They should be pushed down from the lather and prevented from entering any street.

Communities buy their own transformers, service same transfer with their money and the so called PHCN would be at their door requesting that they pay their bills when they do not provide light.

Individuals pay for the prepaid meters as much as 50k to get one and you cannot see any light and yet you are been forced to pay for Service Charge.

What kind of nation is this? A time will come that they will start paying Nigerians with their lifes.

Their system works and no soldier can do that, yes. But understand that their system works and under no circumstance would a service provider, cut you off from a service you have paid for without any notice. If they do that, they pay dearly for it. I would say here that there was a time light was to be taken for 5 mins in Lafayette,Louisiana, USA to repair a fault, it was announced to the public for about 3 days before the time.When the light was taken, exactly 5 mins, it was restored.

Now, would you not appreciate the system?

Here in Nigeria, members of the public, contribute to buy their own transformer, provide money for the cables and pay the same PHCN staff money to come and fix it. After that, they fail to give you light and towards the end of the month, they now start flashing light, distributing bills and cutting the light. Once they complete this within a week, no more light till the time they go out for another sharing of bills.

Within these period, no light will be given. They divert the lights to the companies within that environment and be collecting money that goes into their individual pockets. They flash the light during the day and in the night, they divert the light to companies and be collecting millions of nairA FROM THEM.

What the soldiers did, I support them to do it more. Our people are wicked. Check out most of these PHCN staff, they have money that they cannot explain if held. The once that share bills within my area, his stomach is like that of the members of the senate.

My brother, listen, I personally refurbished a faulty transformer that was bad when I built a house. Could you imagine that after some months, the transformer was vandalized. Note that the said transformer was vandalized by same staff that fixed it. They divert light to companies and be collecting money from them because those companies cannot operate on generators.These guys with their managers are wicked because they only think about their personal pockets and not the common man.I had to write a personal letter and the manager of the station was removed.

Beating those guys is the best option because we Nigerians are selfish and too corrupt.

Exactly. Some of them don't reason with their brain at all. Were they not trained to understand that you can take the Tag Number of the vehicle and later trace the owner of the car? Instead they prefer to stand in front of an a drunk driver because no sane driver would run over an officer.

Sometimes, these officers should be trained to apply minimal force and use their brain whenever such a case arises, than to throw themselves on a moving car. Sometimes, you find some of them dragging the steering with the driver when in motion. A life taken cannot be brought back hence they should understand that they are dealing with people with different characters.

Anyway, I pity the family and pray to God for the repose of his soul.
