It really serves him right. You can't kill innocent people just to prove a point and go free.

We now know the real Jumo Gbomo. Jonathan was right after all.

No anmesty in south Africa on!
Let him prepare for death sentence, or life imprisonment.

Oya SSS should be quick in prosecuting all those BH boys.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Kenya BANS All GMO Monsanto Foods! by andyprez(m): 3:23pm On Dec 06, 2012
kiara11:

Look here friend,Kenya exports food to other countries from fruits(to europe, and as far as asia),milk and it's products, fish, beef, chicken, grains etc.
The standards set are so high such that you can't go about using any kind of pesticides (don't know if uv have of dudutech) or other modifications on crops. We export it the way they want it because they care for their population.
And they won't take any GMO products come what may. That is how strict they are.
Now 85% of kenya is very fertile. The only non fertile region is the Northern part where the nomads live and that is the region bordering somalia.
It's the same region where refugee camps are located. So whenever you hear of food aid it's normally targeted at the northern region.
It's an insult to farmers when they hear about importing food esp gmo, yet they are searching for market already. In short what I am saying is, Kenya doesn't need food Aid because its capable of producing enough for its people.
Why is africa hell bent on importing everything?? Land you have, rains you have, tools you have, human labour you have! we need bibs as well?
A development conscious african goverment should be talking about empowering the local farmer, equipping him with tools, pesticides etc to enable them produce more food for the people.
Not importing food!

These GMO foods are not chemicals as many people think. Its a technical tool that is meant to assists farmers & farming. It reduces pests, increases yeilds & add nutritional values to foods with less of it. GM crops have been approved in many nations in europe, america, asia & now africa. Truth be told, we need to help ourselves in this continent because we're the ones with greater risks on food security. I bet that decision was based on supersticious beliefs or religious sentiments (that scientists are playing God) & not scientific facts. FYI, Kenya has been promoting GM crops before Nigeria & I'm just surprised at their new decision.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Kenya BANS All GMO Monsanto Foods! by andyprez(m): 5:33pm On Dec 04, 2012
Most of us that are refusing the GM foods have been eating it over time. e.g some our bananas, maize, peppers, cat fish etc. My point is that there are no known risk to it but benefits (I mean as of today). There are serious food scarcity in the world especially the eastern africa (kenya) & they are rejecting a solution. Technology is a better solution for our crops which helps give a faster & better nutritional values.
N:B. GM foods are not chemicals, but basically gene transfers. You can google it!

@ acmajibo, trogunn &
justwise, big up for your posts.
In addition to your ideas, I personally don't think the religion is as peaceful as they claim or maybe they have many followers who don't understand their teachings cos most of them just rush out to kill in the slightest opportunity they see.
If they have any problem with the movie, they're many civil ways to address it than bombing & killing innocent souls that may never have heard anything about the film.
N.B: I don't hate the muslims (cos my religion tells me to love & pray for even those that persecute my people) but I sure do hate their beliefs & actions cos its obviously not saying any good thing about them.

JomoGbomo2: Maybe the FG should publish the criteria for getting a national award if any, and the things those on the list have done to be on the award list.

....If they don't have any idea of how it is done, they should spare sometime to watch CNN heroes.

Well, the criteria is for you to be a top government official, high ranking civil servant or better still, be a friend of the government by sponsoring their agendas & campaign heavily 4 them & I bet you'll be on the list.

Banks won't force you to take it my foot. Till tomorrow, my banks still compel me to take N50 bills even when I'm withdrawing large sums all in the name of circulation. We (most of us though) all know the reason for the notes. They can't come out & say it that's why they keep bringing up all these flimsy excuses.

God bless Nigeria.
Politics / Re: Governor Peter Obi Defend His Goverment Over Nasir El Rufai Accusations by andyprez(m): 12:38am On Jun 23, 2012
[quote author=Onlytruth]I try to avoid Anambra threads because I don't want to get involved in some silly local politics. I do enough of Anambra arguments with fellow Anambrarians in our many forums at Yahoo and elsewhere. My experience from those forums tell me that a camel will pass through the eye of the needle before we have a FAIR ASSESSMENT of the Peter Obi administration.

I respect the fact that you want to sound fair to the man (Obi) but its not necessary my brother. Let's leave urban development as in the case of Awka, & let's talk about infrastructures, roads, poverty, & good business developments. Obi has done very little in these areas. Have you visited their official website? Its total crap. My grandma in d villa can do better. No info what so ever. Obi is just a proud man. Anambra has money for crying out loud. There's Nnewi, Onitsha & even awka where he generates money but nothing to show for it.
I don't wanna sound rude but I guess its either your sources in Anambra gave you a wrong info or that you mis-interpreted them.
Politics / Re: Governor Peter Obi Defend His Goverment Over Nasir El Rufai Accusations by andyprez(m): 12:53pm On Jun 21, 2012
I'm neither a fan of Obi nor El Rufai. But I've spent 7 years in Anambra. Most of it is under the governance of Gov. Obi. To be frank, that guy ain't doing much for his people. Abakaliki (Ebonyi state capital) is way more developed than Awka (Anambra State Capital), no offense. In as much as El Rufai is biased, Obi should prove himself. I'm waiting.....
Politics / Re: How Best To Honour Abiola - Bola Tinubu by andyprez(m): 3:18pm On Jun 01, 2012
@peterkbaba. Please stop selling ACN here, its not welcomed. We have the right to choose whatever seem good to us (I'm not selling the PDP either). I strongly believe that the decision taken by GEJ is good but was supposed to be approved by our parliament before declaring it. And you UNILAG students should get a life. All you think about is your 'swag' & 'efizi' but you don't reason with an open mind.
Lastly, you (UNILAG students) & I know that if you protest from now till the end of the year, you'll still not win. Its a Federal school & not yours... You just attend it.

to try aother team. He said he wants to rest, Ferguson, Wenger for dey sick bed na.

Don't mind those ignorant dweebs! Mourinho has proven it over the years with different teams & he succeeds wherever he goes. He breaks records like no man's business & I love him for that. And for those of you guys that say he uses multi-millions 2 win trouphies are just silly. CR7, Kaka & Alonso were bought before he came in. Moreover, Porto & Inter were low budget funds.
He's simply great & if don't see that, then you probably should go see ur optician to remove the cataract from your eyes.
Lastly, I'm a Real fan since 2000 & the only oldest player b4 me there is Iker Casillas. Mourinho has come & will leave & I'll forever be a Madrid faithful. Hala La Blancos! Hala Madristas!! Hala Madrid!!!

The book is great & it has received world recognition... DEAL WITH IT!!!!!
We should be happy a Nigerian book was among just as we were happy when a Nigerian won a Nobel prize.
Arguing that Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa (with other tribes) is better WON'T & WILL NOT take us anywhere.
Let's appreciate our people please.
