Definitely not in CU! I can authoritatively tell you that Project is a very serious affair, and they use the turn-it-in platform, not even only for projects, but for normal assignments and papers! Yes , a student's project cannot have more that 2% similiarity with online works! So you can imagine what students go through during project writing. Bcause of this, some or most supervisors make their supervisees to review at least 20 articles on their topic of concern as reading is the only way to open one's mind. Because of all the work involved, its very rare to see an A in project writing. Not that it is impossible, its just very tasking. Originality is of high value in cu.

If I have the cash, I won't send my wards to any Nigerian institution. They are all the same, no academic integrity, poor research, unoriginal contents, plagiarism, fraudulent marking scheme, etc.

Build the structures, hire 1000 lecturers from Ekiti, but in so far as you refuse to checkmate academic fraud, Nigerian uni will continually remain unrecognized and backward.


Some students would go as far as copying Wikipedia in-text cross references and some dumboo Lecturers who have never heard the word "turnitin" or "Grammarly" would award them A; while those who spend nights writing original contents score low and poor grades. I will never forgive my Lecturers for this fraudulent act.

That's why I laugh when some dumbo students disturb this forum with their aluta nonsense.

American University of Nigeria (owned by Atiku) is the only Nigerian University I can authoritatively give a fair credit in this regard, as I have worked with a few no of students.

While we are concerned about who can copy the highest number of pages/notes from internet, Unis abroad are concerned about originality and integrity. That's why they mostly request for 10,000 words of thesis (maximum); here if you present 15,000 words original content, you will fail. You need to submit 50,000 copied & pasted notes from wikipedia and other journals verbatim to prove "you sabi book".


That's another reason many Nigerians find it difficult to cope when they go international to write stuffs like: ACCA, etc. ACCA RAP is one of the simplest thesis in the world, but because we've been brainwashed into believing the bulky (copied) the better, our people go out there failing and re-applying. All they need is originality, do not COPY someone else's work!

More reason these big firms consider international degrees (and some Naija made first-class holders).
