Politics › Re: Reuben Abati: Who Would Ever Think Edwin Clark Would Publicly Disown Jonathan by angiography(m): 12:49pm On Oct 16, 2015
vfactor:
Abati's question is why didn't Clark tell Jonathan he didn't have the will to fight corruption when he was in power? Why say it now?
Hmm...gud question I agree.

But no one knows if he did or not. I don't expect Abati to have a notion that Clark should have come out in public to decry Jonathan.

A case study is Obasanjo. He did say he told Jonathan in the secret but his not accenting to his warnings prompted him to make it public. You all saw the public lash obasanjo received from the Jonathan clique. If Obasanjo had not made it public we wldnt have known he cautioned GEJ.

Perhaps he's sufficing Clark should have made it public too??...taa that would have made it easier for BUHARI

Politics › Re: Reuben Abati: Who Would Ever Think Edwin Clark Would Publicly Disown Jonathan by angiography(m):
As much as I derided 'political jobberism', I can't but say E.K.Clark, who is well 80yrs, has come to the realization that Buhari is the best thing that could happen to our dear country after the carnage presided over by the last administration. Abati, tho as a paid writer, has definitely been deluded by ethnocentrism. The only reason he propounded as to why E.K Clark should support Jonathan was because of ETHNIC AND EMOTIONAL attachment.... Same thing that has turned our resource rich country to a redundant poor one.

Abati shld wonder...why did we vote in for Jonathan in 2011 ( well I did) and we turned our back against him in 2015??. Even Ondo, being governed by PDP, voted massively for the PMB. this is what we call democracy...and a government of the people.

Abati may be right, from his myopic point of view; but E.K. Clark is not wrong from the common and national interest point of view.

Well, Abati asked a good question....I agree. But anyone with a little political reasoning would know if Edwin Clark had made it public then, GEJ would ve been good as gone even then!....wether he told him in private is what we don't know... But even Obj that warned GEJ in private was never acknowledged and was attacked with derison when he made it public.

Lastly we should ask Abati...whao, he sooo hated Jonathan administration b4 being appointed as spokesman... How he suddenly changed to be a staunch supporter is enough to question his own integrity

Considering the brilliance and astuteness displayed by both BRF and Ibe Kachukwu am I am of the opinion that Nigerian youths should put aside every tribal and religious sentiment and clamour for this joint ticket come 2019.
What do you say?
It can also be Kachikwu as President and Fashola as VP (Tho Fash won't condescend)..
but we shld give our Igbo brothers a taste of power...in as much they can produce an intelligent, straightforward and non-bigotry corrupt free candidate...

Crime › Re: My Experience With Robbers Last Night by angiography(m): 9:16pm On Oct 14, 2015
Missali:
At 11pm last night, I was awoken from sleep when I heard footsteps at the window. There is a curfew at 7pm and at that late hour, it is expected that people are in their various houses. This is not the fist time robbers have attempted to break into my house but this was intense.

I quietly got up from the sitting room floor I was laying on and moved to the bedroom to join my grandmother and baby cousin on the bed.
Gradually, the footsteps heightened and from the room window I could see men standing. My heart sank and I suddenly, I had a hard time breathing. My grandma tried to calm me down and it seemed to worsen.

I wasn't wearing any cloths and I usually sleep and thought of getting something to put on. These robbers sometimes rape girls and it doesn't help to be naked in the first place. That would cause some noise so I decided to forego the thought.

They started to spread out. A number of them moved the front and some went far out to the background. The ones at our window kept talking in whispers. I really couldn't fathom what they were saying as my heart was racing faster than I could ever imagine and suddenly I heard these words 'pass me my gun.'

I think I died! Immediately I turned into a prayer warrior, mumbling incoherently in whatever tongues I could speak. I asked God to forgive my sins, I thought of hiding under the bed or inside my grandmother's wardrobe. But what about her and my cousin of 4years?
I tapped grandma to tell her what I just heard and she assured me to keep calm, my cousin on the other hand was very much asleep. I instantly wished I could turn into a child and be unaware of what was going on in my surrounding.

Taking a pillow I covered my head and put a fingerin each ear. Their voices grew louder and just then, a dog started to bark. I have always hated that dog (and all dogs generally), but I think it helped us.It barked violently from a distance and seized a bit. Then resumed, this time even more and came towards our window, running and barking. I could hear the footsteps of the thieves fading as the dog got near and soon after, there was a heavy downpour; the kind that shook the place.

They went to other people's Windows and probably other compounds. The rate of robbery in some parts of Rivers State is becoming alarming. Needless to say, I am not sleeping at home tonight. Should my heart keep skipping this way, I may have hypertension before 20.
Beyond ur unarguably miraculous escape from d men of the underworld, I must commend ur excellent writing prowess. Have u considered having a career in anything that has to do with writing articles??... Doubt me not, ur sentence formation and semantics maneuvering is 'whao'. M following you instantly

Good Question.

Do you also know the fee for an average private primary school in Lagos for a year is often more than the school fees of some Federal Universities for four years ? we can send our children to public universities but we cannot send our children to public primary schools ?

All the funds meant to strengthen Primary and Secondary schools are spent on Universities so that students in Unilag and co can pay 30,000 naira per year on school fees , Spending more on the roof while neglecting the foundation and pillars. Thats the story of Nigeria.
Hmm...on point. There's hope for this country...if a youth can reason like this

The post about 2 FA Cups is really retardedddd... Arsenal are the record holders of the Oldest cup in the world... how many years are Man Utd going barren now without any trophy... 2 years or 3... albeit... it's still early years...

Isn't it the same Olympiakos that bested you last three season with our worst player at the moment in Joel Campbell doing a Messi on your team...?! Yeah... in your words... that isn't a résume for Big club either...

Now this is where you goofed about Nottingham forrest... they've won 2 Champions league cups... one more than Chelshit and Two more than Arsenal... Would they give up their Cups to play in the premiership...?! your guess is as good as mine...

Arsenal are the third highest holders of the premiership... and in every right... that's a résume of a big club...

Blackburn has won it... where are they now...?! Everton and Newcastle are big clubs in their own right... and their trophy drought is stretching almost two decades...

Oh! Lest I forget... before Sir Alex... Manchester United went 26 years without a Trophy... yes... 26 fuckkkking years... that certainly doesn't fit into the résume of a big club...

To educate your illiterate ass... these are some of things used in evaluating a big club... honours, stadium size, fan base, success, time in top division etc...

Don't @ me... I really tried allowing you wallow in delusion... till you pushed the button...
Thanks for doing the topic justice.

I frequently travel to Nigeria to visit family and also conduct a bit of business there. Is there any way I can get long term visa to Nigeria based on my wife's status as being Nigeria?
I would appreciate if members can guide me on that...

Mighty Arsenal?? Lool! Mighty clubs dont have 0 points in their UCL group after playing Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiakos. Mighty clubs ve at least 1 UCL trophy to show their fans in the club museum. Mighty clubs dont ve 0 league titles in 11 seasons..

Recent successes?? Sure the FA Cup is a major trophy. But i never realised winning the FA Cup after 11 years witout a league title automatically makes u a successful club. I must ve missed dat memo....

But i undastand tho. If i was an Arsenal fan, i'd be happy finally getting one over a team dat has constantly dominated my team since the early 90s.
