kevoh:I suppose too that your so-called Student Union Government agrees to students not being supported? Somehow ,I wonder what you students of nowadays actually do in the so-called universities. |
ekene101:Abeeegi! Stop believing nonsense, will you? |
paulolee:Hell no! It should not be so In a normal country! This is exactly why you all should help to stop the bullshitting that is going on in governmental offices ands jobs. If appointments are going to be by tribe, then get ready to be screwed back & front in your own country! |
fijabs:Go into both "skull mining" and "money lending", and you will not lose your money - either way. Thank me later. |
How do you know the person is "osu"? If you love her then you do not need anybody's advise to do the right thing! |
Reference:They should sell the club to Dangote because he has made enough money to pay whatever the bill is. Afterall he loves the club enough to want to invest in it. |
Ekejoestar:Then you bought her a sh*t phone. But OP wait first, how come the same phone can block your number ? ![]() |
armylord:Send me a private email. I can show you how to fish instead of just giving you a few pieces of fish. |
bluefilm:"Useless nonentity" you said? May it be unto you according to your own words! |
I have resigned from all my previous jobs except the one I currently hold. In all past cases, I ended up resigning because it got to the point where I refused to continue to tolerate further bullshit from my Line Manager - the person I report to directly. Even in my current job (not in Nigeria), which currently pays me the equivalent of 1.15 million Naira on a monthly basis, I will happily resign for no reason and relocate to Nigeria, and do the same work that I am doing here, any day I can find an employer that matches my current salary. I always follow the money and go for minimized bullshit in my jobs, else I am out! Corrections: I must emphasize that I did not leave my jobs, or the establishments that employed me, per se. Instead, I left the Line Manager (or boss) I was reporting to. This is crucial because I could not have worked for each of these establishments in isolation. My point here is that every body has (or should have) an upper limit on the bullshit they are willing to tolerate in any given job, beyond which they must quit without looking back. I certainly do, and you can bet on that! |
bluefilm:Hopeless commenter, how market ? |
Fahdiga:For all its intentions and purposes, it is an objective fact that Nigeria is an Islamic State in disguise. Why should it not disintegrate? I fervently pray that it disintegrates! |

What style of writing is this? How do you expect non-experts to know the meaning of the abbreviations: "HMOs", "NHIS" and "RCT" you used here? Next time, try and define your abbreviations first before you use them in your discussion. Otherwise, your write-up will be meaningless to non-expert readers. |
kenzysmith:I experienced something like this in early 2018, and after several lab tests, medical doctors could not give me a valid diagnosis of what the actual problem was. According to them, several factors could have caused it. Several types of medication were prescribed to me by "international medical doctors" & "Emergency Care experts" and I completed all of their recommended doses, but nothing worked for me. However, when I visited Nigeria around September 2018, I complained to my parents-in-law, and they suggested I de-worm myself. And I did. Guess what? I can testify that till this moment - well over 2 years after that, I do not experience that symptom again. It may work for you too, but seek proper medical attention first! Go and see your doctor and do everything he/she tells you to do. Good luck! |
SilverNorGold:This is so not true. Well, I once taught in the one of the Federal Universities in Nigeria, and I bet you that in my seven years of lecturing there, I was not anything like what you have described here, and neither were my colleagues like that. |
People here (like Jestin) who claim that “what you study in Nigeria doesn’t really count” are really misleading you because that assertion is factually not correct. It is on that premise that I will answer your question in a very frank and brutally-honest way. Given the fact that what is being taught in the Nigerian educational system is mainly focused on student’s acquisition of ‘Disciplinary Knowledge', and perhaps not so much on how to ‘apply’ that Knowledge in the real world, it is important that you, as the student, must start to think differently irrespective of your field of study. Firstly, although I am not a Sociology degree holder, I can tell you authoritatively that acquisition of excellent ‘Disciplinary Knowledge’ is priceless. This is even more so, if your future plan is to become a ‘Specialist’ in that specific knowledge field, e.g. Sociology. In this case, your aim is to become a Researcher and (or) Professor, where you can also contribute to knowledge in your chosen area of specialization. So, if your sister's interest fits this category, then my advice is that she should be encouraged to study that Sociology to its logical end-point. She should get a PhD from studying it, and possibly get a Post-doctoral research experience. In doing so however, she should ensure that she does NOT obtain all her degrees in the same University. The idea here is that if one studies a chosen ‘field of knowledge’ across different universities, one’s mind will broaden, many possibilities will open-up and one’s horizon will not be limited. Thus, one sure career possibility is to teach at a University. Secondly, I will tell you the following fact for free: you can ‘do anything you like' and be very successful with any type of qualification - including Sociology. As far as your ability to think clearly and independently is still functional, you can apply what you learnt in your field of study (e.g. Sociology) to solve any problem of your choosing. Thirdly, with a Sociology degree in Nigeria for instance, you can: (i). work for any government (Federal, State or Local), or School (Secondary, Polytechnic, College of Education, Universities etc). In these cases, you are 100% dependent on the salary your employer pays you. For possibilities outside Nigeria, see here: https://collegegrad.com/careers/sociologists (ii). work as an Independent Consultant in your own private practice: (eg. Management Consulting, Human Resources Practitioner, Risk Analysis, International Relations Consultant, Conflict Management, Mediation, Travel/Hospitality Advisory/Consultancy, Grant Management, Anti-Corruption Consultation, Visa Facilitation Consultancy (eg., VFS Global) and lots more. This list is limitless, and as a fact, you are only limited by what you are able to imagine. (iii). work in Nigeria for ANY private company that has a HR section. This includes any banks – eg. Central, Commercial, Industrial, Savings, Co-operative, Exchange, Investment, Agricultural and (as Credit Risk Analysts, Debt Portfolio Management, Debt Recovery, etc, and Embassies of foreign countries, or even International Organizations (eg: UNESCO, UN, NEPAD, AU, ECOWAS, etc). My final pieces of advise are: be forward-thinking and do NOT allow anybody to discourage you. Do not look at where you are in life. Instead, look from where you are. Do not limit yourself! Keep your head up and all forces will contrive to make your plans work out! |
With all the sectional appointments in a country that has the Federal Character spelt-out in the Constitution, the president is basically saying that no Nigerian from the South is capable of not being corrupt. Only northerners are not corrupt - yea right! And then we all are expected to go into elections for 'Nigeria' and not for the ‘Northern Protectorate of Nigeria!’ I only pity the numb-skulled 'unity-beggars' amongst you who have become so stupid, blind and moronic to see that the principles of federalism are being violated blatantly. You must either be intellectually-impotent, brainless, dumb or all of these if you cannot notice these as a Southerner. |
faithfull18:Marriage is never a reward for good behavior. You need to understand that life itself is not fair. It is all about time and chance, and one's ability to effectively utilize both. |
....well OP, the reason is because the husbands of such ladies are 'Forcados Terminals' themselves. All the holy-holy attitudes do not work in the 'other room' ! ![]() |
President Winston Churchill of the United States, like seriously? ![]() |
The chancellor's roles are: (1) to attend convocation ceremonies and be paid handsomely for it. (2) to squander Nigerian money anytime he/she is to attend any official function or meeting at the university. (3) to perpetrate high-level corruption by sending random names for admission into the university through the Chancellor's list. QUOTE ME AND SEE THE KIND THUNDER WEY GO FIRE YOU ![]() |
ChiefAzubuike:You are displaying the classic mentality of a mentally-enslaved African mind! If Mo Sala was of European origin, I bet that you would have been marvelling at his footballing exploits and recent successes that you would have bought many of his memorabilia, and even shamelessly wear jerseys crested with his name with reckless pride. I have only one word to describe people who act or think like you do: hypocrite! |
Mouth odor is most usually a symptom of an underlying medical condition. Usually, it has to do with some bacterial infection of some kind, and the medical science experts call this condition: 'Halitosis'. Thirdly, my advise is: if you suspect this condition, go and see a qualified medical doctor, and discuss with him about it. My gut feeling though, is that this problem can be permanently addressed if the sufferer should be placed on a broad-spectrum antibiotic. Examples of such medications include (but not limited to) Augmentin, Amoxicillin, Penicillin and Tetralysal, etc. |
