ademola2017: Hi Nairalanders,
I am in a state of dilemma as my marriage is shaking.
Before we got married, my wife treated me like a piece of shit and never gave me any regards or attention. Any little quarrel would be blown out of proportion and wouldn't talk to me for days. I did the calling always and each time I ask her why she doesn't call, she would say I should get used to it. There was a day when a baseless quarrel occurred, she accused me falsely and we didn't talk for more than two months. I stayed single and was already moving on until her friend came begging on her behalf. I wondered why she didn't come herself but all the same I accepted her back. She changed like she was doing me favor but I still persisted because I loved her genuinely.
Fast forward, we got married and I was hoping for a good future with her. As usual I was very open to her and discussed every issues with her. At a point, I found out the marriage was one sided. I gave more but got little or nothing from her. I never burden her with house chores or cooking at all. We sat always to talk about her attitude but she would say things are fine while I will be grieving and having sleepless nights. She will wake up in the middle of the night to check my phone to know if i was cheating. I swear I have never cheated on my wife... She knows my password and never hid anything from her. As we went on in the marriage, her behavior became worse and couldn't condone it again. She never saw anything wrong with her attitude and would say her apologizes are expensive. I decided to do a background check on her and found out she double dated all through when we started dating and gave the guy more attention for 2years of our relationship. When things went bad between them, she fell back to me and unknown to me, I accepted her back. She and her ex were still in good communication till the night I confronted her. She would rather confide in her ex than confide in me (Now husband) Now, I feel so hurt, betrayed and used and can’t trust her again.
She has been very apologetic and says she is ready to change. So if had not found out about her double ways, I will still be condoning her insolent ways. I am seriously finding it hard in my heart to forgive her. Even if I do, I can never ever forget because I do not trust her again.
What will you guys advice? You made your bed,sad that you have to lie on it .God's grace as you do |

Romance › Re: In Love With Two Girls But Wants One. Advice Needed. by anibestlala(m): 12:33pm On Mar 24, 2017 |
Daniyemi: I and my exgirlfriend parted ways about 3 months ago precisely on new year day. Shortly after our breakup, I met a couple of girls. I had flings with quiet a few of them but I wasn't comfortable because at my age, I am not suppose to be having flings but a committed relationship.
The problem is I currently have two girls I am in love with. They could easily pass off as models. Beautiful ladies with good hearts. I had to pretend I was flat broke to know if they were coming because I am rich(not very rich though but I am super comfortable for a 20 something yrs old guy. I own a law firm and a school which is setting off soon) One of the ladies is in Abuja she studies there and the other with me here in Kano she is also a student. As a lawyer, I know it is improper to date two girls at the same time cos if one should find out I may end up loosing both.
My problem is I tend to love the one in Abuja more, she is 20 and I took her virginity I was amazed to find out she was a virgin. But the downside is the distance. Distance was one of the factors that led to I and my ex parting ways. We lost the trust we had for each other(there are other reasons though.). She comes to the North to see me. She was here last month. But I am already feeling since she is no longer a virgin she will want to explore especially giving the fact that she is beautiful. I don't know if I should use the distance to leave her alone as I do not want a repeat of what happened between me and my ex.
The second one with me here in the North she is 23, very beautiful has a good heart, jovial, polite my friends like her. she is a good cook as well.
When I was asking the girl in Abuja out, she was playing hard to get and I asking the second one out too just incase the first girl failed to date me. They both eventually agreed to date me even when I feigned I was a broke nigga.
Pls house I really do not want to double date. As I can only marry one wife. (I date to marry like I did with my ex). I can't Introduce two girls to my People. What do I do to remedy the situation? insults are welcomed.
Modified* I was well aware that no viable solution will come from nairalanders. As usual they didn't disappoint. I wonder if it was my own doing to have had the girls say yes to me almost at the same time. I will resort to prayers. You are betraying the trust of two good ladies. your first step should be to confess your playing the two of them as cards bearing in mind that they both have the right to reject you for cheating on them then see what follows from there.put yourself in their shoes would you want a lady u r going out with to have other guys? |

LoJ: The OP is quite right. I am not even Nigerian, but I stand against MMM and similar fraudulent schemes. Where I live it is strictly forbidden to set or even promote any Ponzi scheme.
"wetin concern you" " how is that your business" and similar rhetorics, are not arguments. At their best, they are fallacious lines of reasoning. What happens to others influence sme. Men are not islands, we do not live in Autarchy. When tens of thousands shall be loosing their funds, it will concern me. We will have to weep with them and even lend them money for them to start afresh. The general economy shall be affected. It will set a precedent and generate fear. People will be afraid to invest, even in productive business domains. If the Bubble called MMM goes on for another 1 or 2 years before it bursts (as it will most certainly do), the collateral dammages will be so great that Nigeria may go from Recession to Depression.
It is ignorance (at best) and/or greed that pushes people to believe that a system, without external source of income, which promises up to 30% even 50% ROI in the shortest time, is sustainable.

We went there I was not comfortable but the faces of those that occupy the other rooms attracted me , they look well learned and even richer than me I was told most of them have spent 2 to 3 weeks there and they came from Lagos too . the whole 8 rooms in the first floor is occupied and there are 3 rooms vacant in the 2nd floor which I quickly grab even though I see mosquitoes blood all over the wall.
I went back to the reception and pay 2k for a night lodge . The room has a 5 inches Television that's not working again, the fan is dirty and only speed 5 is working, the WC handle has broken and the toilet door is bad, cobweb everywhere, the bedsheet is stained with sperm and there is a lady attachment on the bed ...this shows they just finish playing wrestling on the bed, I beg the attendant to please change the bed sheet and she did that is when I discover that the mattress is old and dirty.
I have no other choice than lodge there for the night, I asked for their bar and she took me downstairs guess what I see in the bar....Many olosho drinking and smoking in the dark side of the bar,I saw an empty seat in one corner of the bar and I decided to sit there to avoid cigarette smoke what I met there pass me walahi... I saw an empty pack of gold circle with some wrap of tissue paper I felt irritated and left asap for another bar outside where I took 2 bottles of Heineken before I came back to spend the wonderful night. funny how you can voluntarily subject yourself to sickness for 2k forgetting that a full course treatment for malaria is expensive. smh |

Airforce1: Nigerians have started to react furiously to the article written by the former Presidential spokesperson, Reuben Abati, titled; ‘The phones no longer ring’.
Here are the reactions below:
From SaharaReporters
Brandon Landry Reuben Abati, shut the hell up. Traitor. Turncoat. Shameless, unscrupulous, unprincipled fool. Boy don’t even try to broker any form of resumption of dialogue with mainstream Nigerians. Nobody wants to hear from you. For 4 years, you imperiously turned a deaf ear to your original constituency, the loyal Nigerians that respected and looked up to you. Rather you chose to serve your belly at the decadent tables of your corrupt masters of impunity, perfidy and profligacy at Aso Rock. Now the party is over, the music has died down, the DJ has gone home and the celebrant has returned to the creek, you now want to resume talking to those you ignored and let down all these years? Hell no. Recede into infamy and ignominy. Your voice no longer carries any weight of integrity, respect nor honor. You left all those virtues at the tables of corrupt merriment of old Aso Rock. Now you are spent and empty and your hands are soiled with the filth of corruption. Shut up and crawl into a hole somewhere in the creeks with your creek cretin master. Punk just shut up already!
Kay Obodo Story for the gods!!!! Your name is in the memory of Nigerians as member of a terrible and corrupt government, no amount of stories will change that, and I was expecting that you will swear by the god of iron (ogun) that you never shared among the Million dollars, please keep your story to your self, so you only spent your salary all through the time you were with the president, we no be Maga again o, Buhari don open our eyes of how millions of barrels of crude oil was stolen on a daily basis, while you are busy as a good writer to published good grammar to back the stealing up, According to Oshio baba, Elephant leg is missing in our pot of soup, you are part of the story, keep your story for the gods, if you want your phone ring again, put your number open to Nigerians, we will call you to ask questions on how terribly you guys have damaged the country, Mr Phone ringer….
Moses Oludele Idowu You want to know why the phones are silent? I will tell you.If the phones are silent for the whole day just because you lost election even when you are still in government then something is also wrong with that government. Nigerians are not as bad as government officials and failed politicians paint them to be. If the phones are silent it probably is because you failed the expectations of the people who laboured and suffered to elect you.
Joe I think this is an attempt to test the waters. To guage the amount of sh*tstorm that would be triggered if he ever rears that head or shows that face again. Well mr Abati, skillfullness in writing and good command of English Language does not add or remove anything from the fact that you are a desperate, valueless, cheap hustler, like a lot of Nigerians are!!! You are a defender of crime and corruption. Thousands of lives were destroyed by the actions of your masters and your job was to trivialise and justify those crimes and you tried really hard. You are like the Goebbels of the Hitler-era. You should enjoy your share of the loot quietly. But please don’t try to play on our intelligence by trying to pass yourself as a decent citizen ever again. You chose money over honour so enjoy your loot and leave honour to those that deserve it.Please duck back into your hole ,spare us that face of yours and do not rear your hydra-head ever again. Bury it in shame!!!!
Eweje Abati is really ridiculous. He says that people behaved as if there was a tree at the ‘Residence’ that produced money. We all know that not only was there such a tree, there were many of such trees. Dieziani Allison-Maduekwe surely plucked money from such trees. So also with numerous Jonathanians, like Onyeka Onwenu, Kuku, Okonjo-Iweala etc.
We are going to hear more of such people who pocketed money from trees growing at the ‘Residence’ in due course. If Abati wants us to believe that he was a saint in a cauldron of grotesque sinners, then good luck to him, all puns intended. No doubt about it: he served as media advisor to probably the most corrupt President that Nigeria has ever had, including the notorious Abacha.
Oafak Your post belittles Diezani as plucking money from trees! Her case was a river of dollars, pounds, etc.- a permanent flood! Instead of plucking, she just brought her vessels and filled them brimful! Emeka
Abati, if this is a subtle way to warm yourself back into the consciousness of the Nigerian masses, then you have woefully failed. You wrote incredibly well, criticizing every government prior GEJ’s only for you to use your noble craft as ransom for a pot of “political appointment” porridge. Now you have finished feeding frenzy on our patrimony corruptly stashed at the “Residence”, you are back to unabashedly tell us tales of how the saintly goat was routinely summoned to look out for the yam instead of confessing how the yams fell victim to the goats’ ferocious devour. You must have thought Nigerians to be ordinary fools with short memory to have hurried back so soon to continue your self serving write ups. We expect some remorse and not this volt face impenitence from you and your shameless masters. That your phones suddenly gone silent is nothing but anticlimax. So, go ahead and enjoy that lonesome peace of the grave yard while the Nigeria vault counts its losses.

midolian: President Muhammadu Buhari has started the process of debriefing permanent secretaries who have been in charge of ministries in the absence of ministers with the aim of ascertaining the state of the nation he inherited from former President Goodluck Jonathan.
The strategy is to match their presentations with the contents of the handover notes of Ministries, Departments and Agencies presented to him by the last administration.
On Monday, the President met separately with teams from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Mrs. Anastasia Nwaobia, led her ministry’s team while her counterpart in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Sunday Enocho, led his team to the closed-door sessions.
Nwobia confirmed to State House correspondents that she and members of her team were at the Presidential Villa, to brief the President of the ministry’s activities.
She said although the economy was facing challenges of drop in revenue, the nation’s finance was in good condition.
She promised that her ministry would continue to work out ways to shore up revenue in order to meet expenditure.
She said, “The state of Nigerian finances is okay, our finances are still okay, though we are still going through challenges of revenue stream to government.
“This you know obviously is from the oil shock; the price of oil that has dropped.
“It has significantly reduced the revenue stream to government, but we are working on other ways to see how we can shore up the revenue, so that we will be able to meet our expenditure.”
Nwaobia said after her presentation, Buhari told the team what he expects in certain aspects of the ministry’s operations.
She did not disclose the aspects.
She also said the Central Bank of Nigeria was in the process of verifying subsidy claims put up by marketers.
The permanent secretary said it was only after the verification had been completed, that the claims could be paid.
“We did not say that we will not pay subsidy, like the former minister said, there is a liability on subsidy which is being verified by the CBN and the Budget Office of the Federation.
“The issue had to do with the forex differentials which they were claiming and this committee is looking into it.
“As soon as it is resolved, we will be able to pay the verified amount also when the committee finishes its work,” she explained.
She said the allegation of reckless spending by the last administration was not discussed during the meeting with the President because the issue was discussed thoroughly at the last National Economic Council meeting.
Nwaobia also faulted reports of massive looting in the ministries as a result of absence of ministers, saying the statement was unfair.
http://www.punchng.com/news/buhari-debriefs-permanent-secretaries/ strange that the perm sec for finance would say our finances are okay just facing challenges while the president who has is not a graduate in finance would scream he met an empty treasury.apc and their duara cattle antics.smh |
