A Nigerian man has narrated how a Jehovah's Witness refused blood transfusion for his pregnant wife and watched her die in the hospital.



According to Ajayi Afolabi, he gave the man a slap for the act. Read the story below...

"So, I was at a General Hospital in Lagos while an heavily pregnant woman was rushed in on child labour. She was immediately taken to the theater and after some mins, one ofthe lead doctors came out to request for the husband ofthe pregnant lady.
DOC: Your wife is short of blood. She needs an immediate blood transfusion.

Husband: Same thing they said from the hospital she has been in the last 3 days of labour. We are Jehovah witness, we don't accept unknown blood.

DOC: This is highly important to save your wife's life and the unborn baby.

Husband: We have worked for the lord with all our strength, he can't fail us, she can't die.

DOC: I may need to proceed forcefully if you don't accept.
Husband: Then be ready to face the law in court.

So the doctor went back to the theater, asked the woman if she has another relative close by who can sign to receive blood while she was wheeled out of the theater. The woman cried with her pale eyes and begged the husband to allow the doctors transfuse but he refused bluntly. I was so angry and I walked up to him. Tried convincing but he was so adamant and stubborn.

Some mins later, the doctors asked him to take his wife to LUTH, for better health care facilities that could condole non blood transfusion. He was requested to get an ambulance for transportation. To my surprise, this nigga got a Volvo stretcher ambulance meant for dead people. Gosh, so angry at this point.
Called a couple of people around and I aided a quick release of a proper life saving ambulance. While wheeling this woman to the ambulance after wasting about 4hours, she gave up in tears and was later confirmed that the unborn baby also died.

Wow! What a wicked world in the name of a borrowed religion. Then the husband bursted into tears. I didn't do much, I moved close, looked straight into his eyes, slapped and gave him a couple kicks which later threw the whole general hospital into chaos.

I later reminisced over it the following day and asked myself this questions; why would I allow my loved one die in the name of a religion? Should the religion save lives or kill?"

the doctor should go and read his medical ethics and he would find out that the patient's and not the husband's consent is needed to transfuse blood.

Hello peeps. It's with a heavy heart that I have to say that my marriage is on it's last legs(or so I think). Sometimes last year I made a post asking for advice and things actually got a bit better afterwards (https://www.nairaland.com/3415462/dont-feel-attracted-wife-anymore), but alas, it didn't last.

My wife returned to her cold self and it just went downhill from there. We started arguing again over the tiniest of reasons. Some of the reasons for our petty arguements was the issue of her engrossing herself in school activities that sometimes took her attention from home duties. I told her a couple of times that i wasn't against her doing things like what she did and wasn't in the way of her achieving her desires and goals, but she shouldn't forget she's a mother and wife and one of her primary duties is her family. Sometimes she'd spend so much time in one fruitless meeting or the other, and when she gets home, she'll be too tired to do anything. It got to a point I had to do alot of cooking for the house so that the kids won't be hungry. It's not that she didn't do her duties. It's just the inconvenience of it all and the way her outside activities affected us that really got to me.

Another thing that got on my nerves was her attitude to her degree. Agreed, with all the things she did, she still maintained a very good GPA and was one of the best students in her department. Her lecturers would at times request she take their classes for them while they attended to other pressing issues. It was a good thing and i felt proud, but in her mind the main thing she wanted to do was business. Buying and selling like she did when we first got here and before she started school. She wanted to set up a store where she'd import and sell african prints. There were days during the summer when I'd plan on doing Uber to supplement the little I brought in as a paycheck, only for her to tell me she'd registered for one event or another to display her wares. I'll just have to stay back at home with the kids till she returned later in the night. It really did get me upset and I once asked her what the point of the degree she had studied for if all she wanted to do was sit in a store and sell stuff? We had this argument several times on end.

What eventually broke the camel's back was something she said that I'll never forgive her for. One evening, after putting the kids to bed, she approached me and said she wanted to apply for a loan. I asked her what she needed the loan for. She said for her shop. How much does she need? Ten thousand dollars. How does she expect to apply for ten thousand dollars when we have no way of paying back? Besides, where does she expect me to get the collateral from? She said someone would stand in for her. I told her I don't support the idea and she should be patient. At least after her graduation, she would be able to work full time and earn a better pay which she could then channel to doing whatever she wanted. She said no. She doesn't want to work, but sell her stuff. We started bickering back and forth about this cos I was already fed up of the whole issue, and at some point she screamed, saying I do not support her as a husband, and maybe she would have been better off marrying Awwal. I just couldn't believe it. Why make that kinda decision without consulting me first? She just told me her mind was made up. I tried changing her mind, but she remained adamant. Unknown to me, she had already booked their flight back home a long time ago. I had to call my parents to talk some sense into her, but afterwards they just told me to let her come home, that she may just need the change of environment for a while. I called and asked her sister why she didn't tell me about the plan knowing how close we were, but she simply said it was her sister's decision.

They left two days after Christmas. To date I'm yet to receive a call from her. I've sent her several emails but she hasn't responded to even one. She told my mum she hasn't had the chance to get a line yet, but I know that's a lie. It doesn't take you more than a week to get a phone and a line in Nigeria. Sadly, I may have to accept the conclusion that my marriage is over.

She added, it “does not signal support for the government of Israel and does not mean I agree or accept its policies in the Arab homeland.”

Iraq does not have formal diplomatic relations with Israel, and the two countries are considered enemies, the paper reported.

Despite the backlash, Gandelsman said her friend did not regret her decision to post the image to social media, which she has yet to remove from Instagram, reported the paper.

Here is the story of how the Chief of Staff (CoS) to Niger State Governor, Hon. Mikail Al-Amin Bmitosahi turned round the life of an aspiring young man. The young man named Madaki Moses from Tafa LG decided to play the brave game by approaching the gates of Governor's Office, asking for a direction to the Office of the CoS where he met joy and got his life reversed desirably.

According to reports, the young man who had been standing in front of the Government House Minna, summoned courage and approached the Security Guards, informing that he had been offered admission to study medicine at Near East University in Cyprus on Scholarship.

He told them all expenses relating to the scholarship had been covered except for air fare to Cyprus.

The security guard upon seeing the documents backing the young man's claims and knowing the importance of his desires, allowed him entry and directed him to the office of the Chief of a Staff (CoS) to the Governor where he knew such privileges are offered.

At the office of the CoS, he met one Mohammed Adamu, who is coincidentally the Documentation officer to the CoS, to whom he narrated his mission, showing him the papers.

The Documentation officer asked how long the scholarship had been and the amount raised so far. The young man informed the officer he had secured the scholarship for sometime and that no amount had been raised, as his mother works as a cleaner at the State’s General Hospital, while his father is late. At this point, the young man was already in tears and Adamu could not control himself as joined the young man in tears.

This got the Documentation officer emotional and with tears in his eyes he entered the CoS’s office where, still in tears, he promptly narrated the young one's case.

The CoS consequently summoned the young man and the ending of it all is joy and joy and fulfilment for the boy, as he (the CoS) immediately offered to cover entire travel expenses on the spot. He offered the sum needed for the air fare ticket and an additional sum for miscellaneous expenses relating to the scholarship.

Biafra Agitation Stopped Bulk Sale/Export Of Made-In-Aba Products

Leader of Southeast caucus in the National Assembly, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, has explained that those who signed the bail bond for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of proscribed IPOB, from detention are now in trouble.

Abaribe also stressed that as a result of agitations by the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra for a separate state of Biafra, bulk selling and export of Made-In -Aba products have been hampered drastically.

Abaribe, who represents Abia South senatorial district, made the disclosures last night in New York, U.S.A, while speaking at the Made-In-Aba Products Fashion Show held as part of the 2017 Convention of Abia State National Association of North America (ASNA) at Hilton Hotel JFK, New York.

Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, was represented on the occasion by his deputy, Mr. Ude Oko Chukwu.

The Senator noted that bulk buyers and exporters of the products stopped coming to Aba due to security risks posed by Biafra agitation and the Operation Python Dance 11 undertaken by the Nigerian Army in the Southeast, which effects he said, hit Abia State the most.

He said: “I am a Nigerian Senator and not that of Biafra. We had advised Kanu, reminding him that his rights end where those of others begin. We are now in trouble, because we do not know where he is and how to contact him. Those that support Kanu’s agitation should think twice.”

Riding on his acclaim as ‘Made-In-Aba Senator’ Abaribe urged the people to be pragmatic and realistic, stressing that “we should trust that our leaders, both elected and not elected can get the best for us.

“We think we need Biafra, but this Biafra should be that of the mind that represents our ingenuity and our innate quality for hard work and enterprise, especially as oil proceeds keep dwindling.

“Igbo are largest and highest investors in the country, contributing to the development of wherever they reside and operate. In Lagos alone, we have built and developed about ten different markets from which over N3b are generated on daily basis.”

Good thing is we should all be thanking Kachikwu for exposing this "official " and contract bound theft of $26Bn( > 2017 budget + 2trillion naira change) cos we wouldn't have heard of it at all.

And that's true. the man made efforts to reach the President and when he was denied access ,he wrote to him since August only for the letter to be leaked in October. suddenly Kachikwu was granted audience with the President after the leakage.Sherlock Holmes would say that no matter how good an egg looks ,if it smells there is something wrong.

what Op posted isn't factual. The truth of the matter was this: those young men where 'mafians' a trendy cult of the sons of the rich in portharcourt. That fateful morning(4:30 am) they were on their way to remove their number one whom they claim was not rugged enough. They were actually five in number! On sighting them at that odd hour, the number one jumped the perimeter fence screaming thief, thief. The one with a gun actually shot wether in the air or at the fleeing number one no longer matters and that was what really caged them because the vigilante group demanded an explanation for the gun shots when they were conered. and then the one with the gun, shot again in the air to disperse the vigilante group a in order for them to escape but th rest didnt understand so he alone escaped. The incident was indeed a tragic one. While we condemn such outlandish act, we do well to advise our kids and loved ones to steer clear of cultism. I have written a book on the incident, i titled it 'Tragedies'.

For the first time someone has been bold enough to tell the other side of the story though you didn't add how Aluu was turned into a den of stealing ,raping and molestation by these cultists.In fact watching the video you would wonder why they didn't scream their innocence while they were beaten and like guilty criminals formed hard men until they were gruesomely murdered.
