No you don’t depending on what you were given. If you apply for multiple it varies from 2 years to 10 years (depending on what they give you). You can visit the country for 6 months at a time or less but never above 6 months. So you can exit and visit again and again till the validity period expires. When it expires then you re-apply for a new visa.

Newspaper publication isn't a legal document, neither is your former passport with your maiden name. You can attach your newspaper publication to an affidavit if you like, I didn't but the main doc IRCC requires is an affidavit for change of name from the high court.

Please need your guidance. My EE profile expired in July and I could not renew immediately as my International passport renewal took forever to come out (Nigeria factor). Now I'm trying to create a new profile with the same GC key but my old profile is still there and there is no option to withdraw. Can I go ahead to create a new GC key and a new profile and what should be the answer to the question " have you applied to Canada before " noting that I have not received ITA before the old profile expired.

Supposing one has a masters and has claimed work experience preceding that masters degree and after it, what is the appropriate response to “State the year you completed the degree which qualified you for the work experience claimed”?

Yes, it keeps me eligible. I’ve basically changed to the right NOC cos I read on Nairaland how someone was refused based on the exact same confusion I had on job titles and job roles. However Thank you so much for this link, I’ll definitely check out page 1

It's not a big deal, just an audit trail. And IRCC tells you to update any errors post ITA anyway when you submit your eAPR.....you'll be fine provided the correction does not drop you below the CRS of your draw.

Okay�. Cos me I also made NOC changes after plenty deliberation between job titles and duties. I’ve added an additional work experience after reaching out and getting confirmation of being able to collect reference letter from the company. And I’ve also adjusted and re-adjusted the start dates for my current job as I was rounding up my masters at the same time and didn’t want to have to explain . But I kuku left it there in the end, either way. Was concerned the VO would be wondering what’s wrong with me and why so many changes

If the updated scores are higher, I’d accept it. I mean either way his current scores were good enough to get ITA, unless it’s like almost expired, that sort of situation. I’d accept it jejely.

Does IRCC log profile updates before ITA? They’ve said they don’t save profile information hence the need to re-enter from scratch after the profile expires. However I saw a YouTube video that said all the updates you make are logged

I think I know the group you are talking about, I must have missed the part of the argument that has your statement in bold or you misunderstood the argument. However just like Gracious Words said, you can update your profile once your sibling lands and you don’t need to create a new profile.

You missed it most likely because it quickly went from that to people arguing about when a landed person becomes a PR and all that jazz which was distracting and a lot. It became a side topic, courtesy this screenshot posted in the group. It bothered a friend who’s already received ITA cos she was considering declining it etc. hence my coming on here to ask.

I’m a member on this telegram group, the discussion today made me so confused. Basically the info a group member shared today says that if you’re trying to claim sibling points for EE, it’s best to get out of the pool and get back in. Versus updating your profile when your sibling lands and this was the cause of the argument. I assumed the whole point of being able to update your profile is so you can quickly update any changes versus having to start all over from scratch to set up a profile.

I initially believed as long as you have every document required at the time of submission of application, does it matter if your sibling landed before you created your profile or after your profile was created ?

I’d say what’s the validity of PCC in that country? Maybe find out on the internet or even ask around. Some places is a year, others 6 months, so I’d just put that starting from the date of collection. I wouldn’t put the date your residence permit expires since you still live there currently

I think there is another way out, which is unpopular..A lady said she included her husband as accompanying after getting PPR as unaccompanied...She said it is legal tho not popular among people, maybe you can tow that path... You need to get ITA as soon as possible with that score as changes to EXPRESS ENTRY would commence from the 1st quarter of next year.. Good luck

In any event, it might be prudent if your IELTS is expiring in a couple of months i.e. 2 months, to rewrite now and avoid ineligible profile issues while keeping your tie break advantage whether or not Oga is coming.

I’m really curious as to how they can be added post PPR. As I saw a tweet on twitter by the IRCC handle saying they would recalculate your points if you do that. I’ll probably have to find the link and share. My IELTS expires in April, that’s why I’m not in a hurry to rewrite just yet. I’ve decided if by some reason I don’t get ItA by Jan, I’ll look at re-sitting in February 2023

Quick question concerning Proof of funds please. So I am Currently working and my savings are in close relatives businesses as Investments. However, I also intend to sell my old car and put that forward as my proof of funds since my salary is used to run my life and cater to bills. Would it raise flags however if I sell my car, submit the necessary documents showing the car was mine and the chèque proving thé sale and then submit my bank statement. I guess my point is will the VO show concern that I just sold my car and am submitting that as proof of funds?
I couldn’t just leave my savings in my bank account, because given the way this country is moving mad, you need multiple sources of income. It’s also not going to be difficult to collect my money back but that aside, I had always intended to sell my old car for POF when the time comes.

Sitting on this fence with you. It's coming down anyways, even though very slowly, its sha coming down. Meanwhile i'm a bit concerned about this TEER system that comes into effect on the 16th of November. i've read that it will favour some and not so much others. Please all the EE draw analysts, any idea when it will come below 500? I'm sitting in the 490's and wondering if it will get that low by some miracle this year
