President-elect, Gen Muhammadu Buhari says his incoming government cannot promise the return of missing Chibok girls but that they would do everything within their power to secure their return. He said this in a statement he released today April 13th to commemorate one year of the girls' abduction. The statement below...

Today is a time to reflect on the pain and suffering of the victims, their friends and families. Our thoughts and prayers, and that of the whole Nigerian Nation, are with you today. I want to assure all of them, and particularly the parents, that when my new Administration takes office at the end of May, we will do everything we can to defeat Boko Haram. We will act differently from the Government we replace: we hear the anguish of our citizens and intend to respond accordingly.
This new approach must also begin with honesty. We do not know if the Chibok girls can be rescued. Their whereabouts remain unknown. As much as I wish to, I cannot promise that we can find them. But I say to every parent, family member and friend of the children that my Government will do everything in its power to bring them home. What I can pledge, with absolute certainty, is that starting on the first day of my Administration Boko Haram will know the strength of our collective will and commitment to rid this nation of terror, and bring back peace and normalcy to all the affected areas. Boko Haram” means “Western Education is Sinful”. When they are defeated militarily, as they will be, we will ensure our citizens in the affected areas have improved educational opportunities as a direct counterbalance to Boko Haram’s twisted ideology.

In particular we will educate ever more young girls ensuring they are empowered as citizens of Nigeria. Let us use this anniversary to remind each other that the attack on Chibok was an attack on the dreams and aspirations of our young people. We stand united in our pledge to resist terror in Nigeria– not just through military means but also through the power of opportunity and the hope of a better future for all”.

Transition C’ttee: Buhari Insists on Credible Persons as Bakare Heads Screening
Some panel members likely to be elevated to ministerial posts
President-elect assures defectors of justice in APC
Onyebuchi Ezigbo in Abuja

President-elect Muhammadu Buhari at the weekend said only credible, patriotic and knowledgeable Nigerians would make up the transition committee, as part of the first steps to chart an entirely new path for the country.

Screening of members of the transition committee, which will meet with a similar committee from the presidency on the handover from the Goodluck Jonathan administration to the incoming Buhari-led government,
THISDAY learnt, is being handled by, among others, Pastor Tunde Bakare, who was Buhari’s running mate in the 2011 presidential election.

After the screening process, Buhari, it was also gathered, would personally interview each of the members of the committee, as there is the major likelihood that a few of them would be elevated to ministerial posts in his federal cabinet when he takes over as president.

Buhari also assured members of the other political parties, who have been defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC) of justice in the party, regardless of the misgivings about their former parties.

Speaking with reporters at his country home in Daura, Katsina State, shortly after casting his ballot in the governorship and House of Assembly elections, Buhari said Nigeria’s problem has been one of lack of accountability and a terrible budgetary system, which has resulted in the death of institutions.

Buhari, who is averse to an unduly large transition committee to prevent members from capitalising on it to influence the choice of ministers either for themselves or those they want to be ministers, maintained that round pegs would be put in round holes.

“My hope as well as my idea is to get knowledgeable and experienced technocrats that are really patriotic to study the handover notes by ministries and make recommendations.

“I want them to be completely detached people who are patriotic Nigerians, who are knowledgeable and experienced.

“If we get majority of politicians involved, it will lead to rows and we may end up with inconclusive recommendations, which are not very helpful in our condition.

“When I get it ready and before it is published, I will show it to the leadership of my party and the terms of reference, as well as the time limit and the result of their work.

“We will quickly study the recommendations before the inauguration so that before we are sworn in, we get into action,” he said.

On the state of the nation, Buhari said: “It is a difficult time for Nigerians as you all know. I have said it in the past that in the last 16 years, Nigeria has never realised the amount of revenue it received. A barrel of crude oil rose to about $140 and has crashed to about $50 now.

“During the 16 years, we knew some big companies that employed a lot of Nigerians and gave them training facilities like the Nigeria Airways and the Nigeria Shipping Line.

“Even the Nigerian Railways is managing to be on paper with some refurbished engines moving from Lagos to Ibadan and a few other places. But if you go to their stations all over the country, you will realise that they are in a terrible shape.

“The important thing in a country with a huge population of youths, with more than 60 per cent of them under the age of 30 who are unemployed, is that you need these institutions to give jobs and training to Nigerians.

“It is very disappointing that the PDP government virtually failed to use those resources to make sure that the economy continues to grow in a sustainable way.

“I think the worst thing is the lack of accountability and the terrible budgetary system. Imagine that over 90 per cent of Nigeria’s budget is spent on recurrent spending.

“How can you sustain development in a developing country like Nigeria with only about 10 per cent of your income going to capital spending? Things just have to change.”

On the gale of defections in the aftermath of the presidential election, Buhari said: “I think that this is mainly a question meant for the party. I wish Chief John Oyegun was here to answer you, because we have a system.

“Just because I was the presidential candidate and now president-elect, I don’t think that the system has allowed me to usurp the power of the party executives.

“But certainly, in a multi-party democratic system, fundamentally, it is the number that matters for the people. But for the party, what matters is the ability to manage the number so that the majority will have its way, so that there will be justice.

“No matter what the remnants from the PDP by May 29, I assure you or I assure them through you that there will be justice in APC.”

Addressing some of the issues that attended the outcome of the just concluded governorship and House of Assembly elections, Buhari specifically complained about a few unsavoury developments in some parts of the country like in Rivers State but asked that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) be allowed to give its comprehensive report first.

“I personally want to be legal about this so that people will appreciate that we believe in a system. What we need to do is to modify the system according to the law if we don't like it, and that no one should come out and do to the system whatever he likes. I have a lot of respect for the governor of Rivers State (Chibuike Amaechi) for his courage.

“It has been a long time and as you all know, at a certain time, the former Commissioner of Police virtually hijacked the state and the governor was virtually sentenced to the streets fighting thugs without law enforcement agents to survive as a governor, while the constitution made it very clear to all of us that the governor is the chief security officer of the state.

“So a lot of unconstitutional and lawless acts of the PDP are on record and we intend to make the PDP understand it and make sure that according to law, those who are responsible for that are taken to the courts and properly charged.

“We are in this system because we believe in it and we want it to be stabilised because it is better for our country,” he said.

APC and Western countries expected Goodluck to turn all the stones in Nigeria to bread(something they cant do in their support developed.countries), so we expect you to turn River Niger to wine and even do more.

The same koboko Nigerians used in flogging the first wife,They will still use it to flog the second.

Rapmoney:
I often wonder where Nigerian youths copied this nonsense from because even students in universities in America, Asia and Europe do not engage in this trashy act as we do over here!!! Yet, we still call them agents of immorality? huh

I just feel, deep within my heart, that girls who cohabit or cohabited in the university do not desrve any dime as bride price paid on them! They should just follow their would-be husband to his house, free of charge and continue where they stopped in school!

A girl cohabits with a guy for 4 to 5 years in school; this means the dude would bleep her through out those years (free of charge o!), she would perform wifely duties for him...cooking, cleaning, washing, providing emotional wifely support, etc (free of charge too o!). Now, what's still left in such a body? huh If she can bleep a dude for years without any dime paid on her, coupled with the numerous wifely duties, then what's the need of paying a dime on her as diary or bride price? If that bloke that bleeped her for years didn't pay a dime on her where families would meet, eat and drink and pray, why should I pay a dime on her head? huh Worse of it is that this dude enjoyed all what he enjoyed free of charge! Now, why should I be requested to pay for same? huh Common, that's not fair! What's sauce for the goose is also sauce for the gander!!!

From Delsu to Lasu, from Uniben to OOU, from Uniport to Unical, from UniAbuja to Esut...it is the same story! Any girl who cohabits with a dude in school who has never paid a dime on her has lost her feminine value! She doesn't deserve anything paid on her!!!
some Naija girls playing mugu since 23BC ,how can a sensible girl who aspire to be a good mother live with another jobless boy in the name of cohabiting. so after having sex with this dude 599 times in 5 years, this fool(useless girls) will still play hard to get another innocent suitor..

The nollywood Diva who does not seem to shy away from the media storm has made yet another eyebrow raising confession.

The Nollywood diva, singer and bosom -toting cossy orjiakor, is sure going to make her long list of suitors and and men thinking to marry her have a quick rethink about whats in stock for him and possible their unborn children.

Cossy orjiakor who took to her her Facebook page to disclose to her fans some troubling decisions .in the write up she said to her fans how much she cherishes her bosom by heaping praises on God for bestowing her with such gift of life. “ I am so grateful to God for this lovely bosom .

Though sometimes they are such a burden. The load gets big but I love them” Cossy said

This might not be the first time that celebrities come about to make different statement and then turn out to go back on their word but for cossy orjiakor it's well known that her humongous endowment has become such a legend, that both men and women cannot help themselves to it but to admire it on different levels, Though many may find her repulsive but it doesn't seem to take any hair off her skin as she continues to flaunt her bosom and also make funny remarks some occasions when the opportunity readily presents itself .

So guys this is what cossy orjiakor has in stock for you and your unborn children

Even in the space of ten years my bosom are still going to be firm and also looking good because I will use sucker to pull the Bosom milk for my kids. i have decided that there will be No direct sucking for them. No Bosom feeding” she quips.

she then went on to add a line that must have got some guys day-dreaming “OMG My bosom fell out again yesterday at TBS. I was so shy of myself as a guy helped package it for me

Ehen..me I know some igbos can be extremely obnoxious, arrogant, annoying and weird...especially those who grew up in the eastern part of the country.
That said, I still believe every Nigerian is a citizen of the country and is constitutionally free to occupy and do anything lawful anywhere in this country. Voting for their preferred candidate is Lawful so pls let us hear word.
The south west also benefit via federal allocations from funds derived from crude oil extracted majorly from the south south. So why shouldn't other people feel free to benefit from your Land.?
Not in support of the igbos though and their utterances though, because obviously, no south eastern state will accept such utterances from another tribe in their state.

Imagine a yoruba or Hausa or even Delta man saying they will produce the next governor of Anambra state because Anambra is a no mans land and a colonial settlement.

Igbos that I know in the south east will eat such person for dinner.
thanks for saving me the stress of typing. you just said my mind...

National leaders of All Progressives Party, APC, and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed disappointment over the loss of five House of Representatives seats to Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the March 28th, presidential and National Assembly elections.
Tinubu stated this at an emergency stakeholders meeting to review last election and strategize for the Saturday governorship and state house of assembly election, held at APC Lagos Secretariat, Ikeja.
Those in attendance at the meeting were: State Chairman of the party, Chief Henry Ajomale, Senator elects, Oluremi Tinubu, Gbenga Ashafa and Olamilekan Adeola, Demola Seriki, all state party leaders among others.
According to Tinubu, who reeled out some of the results across the local government areas in the state, “You, the party leaders have disappointed us. For the first time, we lost five House of Representatives seats to the opposition party, this is unacceptable, a huge disappointment.
Though in politics you win some you loose some You have failed. So there is no excuse to fail this time.
“Also you did not come out in large number, were you afraid.? You have no cause to be afraid as adequate security is on ground to protect you and your property. So don’t be intimidated by their sporadic shooting of guns meant to scare you away from doing your civic right. The Hausa communities had a very good and encouraging turn-out, we expect better performance this time.”
Tinubu who lambasted the leaders for failing to adequately mobilize the people, including party agents across the wards, charged them to redeem their in-action or be changed according to the slogan of the party.
He stressed that despite APC confidence to continue in the state, the party can not afford to miss it again in the next election as its too risky to leave Lagos in the hands of those without experience.

I struggled with this until I was way past 20 or there about...

These might help:

1) reduce your food intake whether day or night, Especially at night. Like some others have suggested, eat before 6pm or if you must eat after that, it should be half your normal ration.

2) avoid excessive video games and movies especially till late in the night. You should endeavour to sleep early, as this will enable you wake up at intervals at night. Like someone mentioned earlier, observe your siesta even if it's for 15-30 mins.

3) stop watching porn movies. This will build up lustful desires in you, and ur urino-genitals will be weak, and difficult to control.

4) reduce your alcohol intake, and don't be coerced to do what you do not want by peers. . . Imbibe self discipline.

5) be conscious of yourself, and your environment while you sleep. Set mental alarms for yourself and ensure you meet up with them. When I did mine, there were no phones and there was no alarm clock in my house.

6) I can now drink alot of water as I've always liked it, but there was a time I restrained myself from excessive water intake. . . Whenever you drink water at night, ensure you attempt to take pee- no matter how little it may be.

7) this list is not complete yet. . . If I recall any of the tricks I used, I'll add them.

8.) avoid the psychological effect the stigma might have caused you... Don't be depressed, and don't lose your self-esteem.

9) send me a private email.

10) above all, believe in God and be prayerful. . . It's worth it.
excellent post and excellent advice.

PoliticsRe: Billionaire Ayiri Emami, Other PDP Leaders In Delta, Edo, Benue, Defect To APC by anigold(m): 11:56am On Apr 08, 2015
nickxtra:
It is exodus, or I call it movement of the people in various PDP controled States of the country, as top ranking leaders and members of the soon to be national opposition party, PDP jumped ship to embrace 'Change', the soon to be National ruling party. Among those that defected in Edo State, are a leader of the PDP and former Provost Marshal of the Nigeria Army, Brig. Gen. Idada Ikponmwen. A former Governor of the state, Prof. Osunbor Osarhienmen, former PDP Governorship Candidate in the 2012 gubernatorial elections also embraced change. In Benue, former Military Governor of Katsina State, Geneal Lawrenece Onoja, among top ranking PDP members including a former aids to David Marr and Governor embraced Change. In Kaduna State, the story is not less appelaing as former House of Rep member, Jummai Ruth, Major Gen. S.B.S Biliyock, among several others, all from Southern Kaduna embraced change. In Niger, former SSG and several other defected to APC from PDP. In Delta State, billionnaire and an Itsekiri Youth leader anc Chief, an ally of Gov. Uduaghan, Ayiri Emami left the PDP to APC. Reasons they give is that PDP has been ruling Nigerians in deciet and they have been looking for a viable platform that would change the evil that PDP is and now that change has come, hence their exodus. My opinion is that, although there is free entrance and exit into a party, but the change train must move with caution. APC must watch out for the Judas.
This is not true dude stop fabricating stories just to please The buharists..
next you will say PDP has merged with APC to form a bigger APC..

PoliticsRe: Jega Sacks Two Electoral Officers In Edo For Disappearance Of Result Sheets by anigold(m): 11:51am On Apr 08, 2015
lalasticlala:
BENIN CITY-NATIONAL Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof.Atahiru Jega has sacked two Electoral Officers attached to Oredo and Orhiomwon Local Government Areas of Edo state in the March 28 Presidential and National Assembly elections over alleged involvement in the disappearance of result sheets provided for elections in those areas.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Edo State, Mr Mike Igini who disclosed this during a meeting with leaders of both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state also said that some officers of the commission are being interrogated over alleged malpractices in the last elections, adding that those involved may face prosecution.

Igini disclosed further that after a meeting with the INEC Chairman in Abuja, the Commission decided that elections will be conducted in those areas where they had to postpone the elections due to late arrival of voting materials and disappearance of result sheets.

He said rescheduled elections will hold in the entire Orhiomwon Local Government Council, six wards in Uhumwonde, some wards and units in Ikpoba Okhai, Ovia North East, Ovia South West and Oredo Local Government Areas. While explaining that the winner of the Edo South senatorial election will emerge through a simple majority, the REC stressed that the winner of the senatorial election can only emerge after elections are held in these areas.

Just as he added that “Orhiomwon election is also very important because apart from the senate, we also have a House of Representatives seat at stake in that area. So the result will also be determined after the Orhionmwon and Uhumwonde elections” adding that card readers will be used for the Saturday elections across the state.

However, the areas he mentioned did not go down well with the PDP leaders including the state chairman of the party, Chief Dan Orbih, former Deputy Governor, Lucky Imasuen and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu who insisted that election held in some parts of Orhiomnwon therefore the results should stand.

The tension in the hall heightened when the PDP leaders engaged in war of words with their APC counterparts when they made allegation and counter allegations about alleged ploy to rig the elections using some Electoral officers. The PDP leaders later excused the REC to enable them attend a meeting somewhere else.
