For Abuja where I did mine, It has an appointment letter.

It's the number on it the letter the security guards at their gate used in checking our names before they allowed us to enter.
exactly
Same with me

Thanks so much for this well detailed explanation.

I have a follow up question please. Did you your brother paid his full tuition or just a part before he changed his DLI?
He had to pay in full for that session

You cannot work and live in Canada without being in an active school session

So even though he wasn't really following up with school work because he had changed
He had to pay for that first year

But since it's January intake you can enquire from the school if you only have to pay for this semester

Just make proper enquiry from the school

I highly advise you enter Canada first before any changes Sha

Them no dey dash study permit for street

Pray for me too Sha
I'm waiting for ppr also

Please, what items needed at IOM for Upfront Medicals?
proof of payment
You can print out your payment receipt for that

Also your appointment letter
That's the mail they sent when you confirmed application
You can either print it out or just get ready to show them the mail at the entrance that's all
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Annidenobeh: 11:28am On Aug 28, 2022
Actually he would have to reapply for study permit if he changes dli
Let me explain properly
Let him travel first of all and resume in the current school before Changing the DLI
If he changes it from Nigeria he would have to reapply for study permit since his current application has already been approved

If you check the ircc website it's says actively studying in Canada that's when you can change dli without reapplying

But if his Visa has not been approved he can change his dli by sending a webform with the new LOA while still in Nigeria

I hope I explained well
Please don't make any mistakes o

This thing is very important

PS: my Visa has not been approved and I also changed DLI if it had been approved I would have had to reapply to change DLI

Meanwhile my elder brother in Canada traveled first because his Visa got approved and when he got there he changed to a cheaper college and all he had to do was inform ircc of the change of school

I really hope this helps you

Ocool:
A friend just got his PPR to resume in September 2022, next month.

But the thing is that he wants to defer to save cost by going to another DLI which is about 50% cheaper in January 2023.

The tuition fee of the current DLI is 22,000 CAD but he has got admission to another DLI with just 11,500 tuition fee.

Is this possible? If yes, how can he handle it without having any problem later.

The thing is you really cannot tell if eligibility has actually begun or not based on the eligibility you see on your portal.
some persons have received PPR same day eligibility started on their portals, meaning eligibility has already started but not updated on their portals.
So back to your question, updating a new DLI on your portal could delay the processing time of the application.
ok
Thank you very much for replying

Experts in the house please let me know your thoughts on this
If I change my dli on my Visa application which is yet to be approved will it slow down the time of processing the application and would they have to start checking all over again or they'll change the school and it won't affect the state of my application
PS: eligibility has not started but medicals has been passed

Good morning, Nairalanders.

This is my first post here, and I just had to make it after reading other people’s comments about their study visa application. I must say this has been the most nerve wracking moment of my life. I really wish I came across this forum much earlier before I started my application.

I submitted my application 2months ago, May 20th 2022. I had my biometrics done prior because I had applied for a visitor visa before. Eligibility review started June 30th and I have been waiting for the medical request. I didn’t think I could do an upfront medical exam anymore since I had already submitted my application that was why I was waiting for IRCC to contact me. I have been freaking out lately because my school is resuming on the 8th of September 2022 (today is 19th July) and I feel I’m seriously running out of time to get this visa approved.

Anyone also facing this same situation??

Any helpful advice from the experts on here would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

I always laugh whenever someone says something like "I am new at affiliate marketing and I am finding it hard to sell"

It is normal for things to be "hard" for a newbie. That tells you, you have a lot to learn. So get to work and pay your price.

Hello good day every one, i hope you all are holding up well.
It's all going to end in praise.

Please i will like to know if there is any body who applied to college of the North Atlantic here.

Please they requested for extra documents; proof that I'm done with secondary school and secondary school transcripts.

I sent my testimonial to them with my Ss1 to Ss3 transcript.

Please i will like to know if that's okay or do i need to go to my secondary school for them to send these documents by them self.

Thank you all

Education / Re: IELTS: Share Your Experience, Ask Your Questions, Tell Us Your Score If You Can. by Annidenobeh: 10:13am On Feb 16, 2022
Ok first of let me say this it's different strokes for difficult folks
Some people spend alot of time studying while some prepare under a week

Personally I didn't have time to study for a long period and I didn't have funds to pay for classes
I prepared under the space of a week because I had to get it done as soon as possible
So I studied with the e2 IELTS YouTube channel ( they have great content) and I took tips from some other channels which I can't remember but basically I used e2 IELTS
I also took a free mock test from their channel it's a 5hour long video of what the test looks like I think that helped me alot
I got 6.5 which is not to high compared to some people's results but basically you need to get a 6 so I guess 6.5 is good too
Uhmm.. generally you should focus more on the reading it's most difficult...the listening should be the easiest... try not to loose focus even if you skipped a question already (basically study with e2 you'll get all this there)
Then if you can afford it you can pay for more classes just to make sure you're fully prepared and you pass it once
That was it for me. I'm open to any other questions as regards my experience
