Many congregations and people have been praying that no failures, sickness, disease, disappointments, afflictions, sorrows, attacks and many evils of 2014 should not follow them into the new year, 2015. This is a very good prayer to pray. I pray that God will grant those petitions for you and your family.

But wait a minute, what about the lies, fornications, adulteries, idolateries, pride, disobedience to the Voice of God, abortions, wickedness and other sinful habits of 2014. Do you want them to follow you into 2015? As you have been praying that no evils of 2014 should follow you into 2015, have you ever thought of reconciliation with GOD in 2015?

If you are not planning to drop your sinful behaviours of 2014, then praying for evils of 2014 not to enter 2015 with you might just be like cutting the leaves from the tree. the leaves will grow again while the tree still remains standing. it is better to uproot the tree and then you will not have to be cutting the leaves repeatedly.

Follow righteousness and Holiness in 2015. Remember that the name of The Lord is a strong tower for the righteous, alone.
A lot of sins will not go unpunished in 2015. Don't be caught unawares.

This scripture was similar to a theory once propounded by economists that population would, once, outgrow food production. The population indeed outgrew food population and food scarcity or famine loomed. But the scarcity was curbed by introduction of mechanised farming. Though, number of farmers could not increase significantly in the same rate with population growth, yet their output (food production or end-result) matched the population food demand because of the new method of farming which resulted in their effectiveness.

While we pray and believe God to add to His labourers, let us, at the moment, maximise our own ability of soul winning. Let us use approaches that make our evangelism reach a greater number of people at time and at a reduced time. Let us make sure it also takes less time to understand our Gospel. Let us reproduce Gospel material abundantly and affordably. Let our lifestyles preach Christ. Let us cater for the needs of those we are trying to win for Christ. Now you should write educate people that is what help and not praying because god give us brain and when you educate people than they will have no fear that is the problem and Ihear this also from a good friend in Kenya that it is very important that people have to know when it is time to go to the hospital and not hear to pastors who will tell their followers pray and God will help you, why he give us scientist who help us to get medicine..

I want you to know that even when I say that we should pray I did not mean and say we should not pay due diligence to basic hygiene and health instructions. If I did that, I would be doing injustice to word of God for some reasons.

1. God, Himself first taught man how to quarantine people in case there is outbreak of infectious disease so that the infection will not infect others. See Leviticus chapters 13, 14 and 15.

2. God Himself also told also to watch and pray.

I can not go the borders and airports to screen who ever is coming to the nation of Ebola. I believe most nigerians dont have that right.Only Government can do that but I can pray. If God could show what is about to happen, He can also help in addressing the issue if we pray to Him.
He can give our leaders the wisdom to go about their duty of screening. He can help in other divers ways.

Dont underestimate the powers of prayer.
