Rapture is a doctrine that is valid. Many people have been caught up to heaven before this time and bible recorded it. Philip was caught away and not up.

Enoch was caught up. Elijah was caught up. The Lord Jesus Christ himself was caught up into heaven after resurection.

MEILYN: please can you define rapture? I dont even know what it means.

I will quote two scripture to define rapture. then I will provide explanation, assuming that you are neither a christian or may be you have not been taught about it.

1 Thessalonian 4:17

17 Then we which are alive and remain SHALL BE CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The Scripture above with emphasy on the bolded words define RAPTURE. If I put bolded words together, I would define rapture as 'to be caught up into the air or to catch something up from above. If you really look at the logic of the definition, it would mean that the person to be caught up is on the lower surface (earth in this case) while the person catching up is from above (air or heaven). Rapture is a very strong christian doctrine and prophecy which is about to be fulfilled. God prophecies through His words in the Bible that His Son, Jesus christ would come back to retreive Christians who are holy into heaven without experiencing death. This event is the rapture and it is prophesied that it would happen at the end of age (mathew 24). we Christains believe that the time for this event has come and as such we need to prepare for it.

The second scripture I will quote is Mark 13: 27

27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

This scripture corroborate the first scripture. This scripture makes it known that it is angels that will do the catching up.

SUMMARY

Now that we have known those things that are coming to pass and what it means to escape, you can begin to pray the right prayer and not pray wrongly again. I tell you again, if you did not escape by rapture, sudden destruction will consume you and you will go to hell. If you go through the great tribulation, God will pour His wrath on earth and you will not have any protection since you are not a Jew and ultimately the antichrist may behead you for not serving him (rev 20;4). Even if you are a Jew, you may not be among the 144,000 elects that will be protected and the antichrist will persecute the Jews as well. So, of all the options, to escape, is the only safe way. That is why The Lord Jesus Christ tells us to PRAY ALWAYS, that ye (we) may be accounted worthy TO ESCAPE all THESE THINGS THAT SHALL COME TO PASS .

If majority of your prayers is about cares of life (Luke 21:34), then you are praying wrongly, but thank God, rapture has not happened. You can change your prayer. Let majority of your prayer concentrate on how you will escape. God has shown some of these things to me in visions. I tell you if God shows you some of these things that are coming; you will not pray about any other thing again but about how to escape.

Pray to escape sudden destruction. Pray to escape great tribulation. Pray to escape wrath of God. Pray to escape the sword of the antichrist. Pray to overcome the riders of the white horse, the red horse, the black horse and the pale horse (revelations, chapter 6). Pray to overcome deceptions. Pray to overcome all traps satan has set to make you fall in this end-time. Pray to overcome your flesh. Pray to overcome all spells satan and its demons/agents have cast at you without your knowledge. Pray that God should wear you, His whole of armour (Ephesians chapter 6). Pray that you should hear the sound of the trumpet. Pray that you should answer the trumpet call. Pray that God should reveal to you what you are doing that can disqualify you from rapture and heaven. Pray without ceasing. Pray to escape.


ACTIONS

Are you an elect of Christ? Are you truly saved? Are you on the narrow road? Do you want to make the rapture/heaven? If your answers are yes, then,

• Make all efforts to heed the warnings of Jesus Christ.
• Be watchful. Pay attention to what is happening around the World and see whether they match what the scriptures say.
• Be filled with the Holy Spirit and be in the Spirit all the time.
• Fast, consecrate yourself, run away from sin and worldliness.
If your answers are NO, then you can repent today. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

If you will like to confess your sins and accept Jesus to save you, say the following prayers, sincerely and faithfully and make a determination never to commit sin again.

Lord, Jesus Christ, I am sorry for all my sins. I confess them with my mouth and I ask for mercy. Please forgive me and wash me in your blood. I accept you as my personal Lord and Saviour. Write my name in the book of life. Give me power over sins and fill me with your Spirit and Joy of Salvation. When rapture trumpet sounds, let me make it. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus name, I pray.

Begin to read bible. Begin with the book of John. Pray always. Fast regularly (you can begin with once in a week). Look for a bible believing church where they teach repentance, holiness, salvation and fellowship with them. Pray before you go. Don’t just go to any church. There are a lot of deceptions out there. LUKE 21: 31-36

31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36 Watch ye therefore, and PRAY ALWAYS, that ye may be accounted worthy TO ESCAPE all THESE THINGS THAT SHALL COME TO PASS, and to stand before the Son of man.


INTRODUCTION

Throughout the Bible, The Lord, Jesus Christ, gave us instructions on how to prepare for His coming at rapture. The text, above, presented to us, one of such instructions. In the text , Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, gave us instructions on what not to do and what to do when we begin to see the signs of His coming. Now, Let us consider the instructions from the text above. In verse 35, He said we should not be carried away with issues of what to eat or drink. He said we should not concentrate our efforts on the cares of life. Rather, He said we should ‘PRAY ALWAYS TO ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS THAT SHALL COME TO PASS’.

For the purpose of this teaching, we will explore in great detail the latter instruction that we should PRAY ALWAYS TO ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS THAT SHALL COME TO PASS.

This instruction is a complete instruction that is worth analyzing. Let us assume the following conversation had taken place between The Lord Jesus Christ and Disciples as follows.

JESUS: PRAY Always.
DISCIPLES: Master, Why Should We Pray Always?
JESUS: Pray Always To Escape.
DISCIPLES: To Escape What, Master?
JESUS: Pray Always To Escape All Things That Shall Come To Pass.

Three things are essential in that instruction. They are; PRAY ALWAYS, TO ESCAPE, and ALL THINGS THAT SHALL COME TO PASS. The Disciples might understand what it means to pray. I believe, you also, understand what it means to pray. As such, the last 2 parts of the instruction which are TO ESCAPE and ALL THINGS THAT SHALL COME TO PASS need to be explained for you to pray the right the prayer. This teaching seeks to explain to you what it means TO ESCAPE and also highlight to you those THINGS THAT SHALL COME TO PASS. Then, we will not pray amiss. Rather, we will begin to make the right prayer as we both PREPARE FOR RAPTURE.


GOD’S ANGER IS FIERCE

To fully understand the significance of what it means to escape in biblical term. Let us use two phenomenal attributes of God with respect to anger to explain. They are explained below as follows.

GOD is slow to anger: God is so merciful. One of the countless ways He demonstrates His love for man is by being slow to anger. He can warn a man or a nation for decade before He will become angry with him. He used Prophet Jeremiah to warn Judah for about 40 years before He released them to Babylonian captivity. The Book of Nahum 1: 3a puts it in this way.

3. The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked:

Other scriptures from the Bible also state that God is slow to anger. In fact Apostle Peter in 2 Peter 3:9 advised us not to see God as being slack because He is slow to become angry towards our sins and wickedness. Rather, by being slow to anger, God is giving us a long grace to repent and be saved.


God’s anger is all-consuming: We just stated above that God is slow to anger to give us a long grace to repent. But does that mean God will not become angry one day, if we deliberately continue to turn down all His opportunity to repent? Of course, God will become angry. And when He becomes angry, His anger consumes everything altogether; both man and beast. His anger brings total destruction. Let us see how the book of Zephaniah describes the situation of God’s anger.

Zephaniah 1: 2-3

2 I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the LORD.

3 I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD.

We should be able to see from the scripture, above, that God’s anger is fierce and all-consuming and perhaps, this should be a reason to be slow to anger.


SAFETY FROM GOD’S ANGER

God’s anger is indeed all-consuming. Many accounts from the Bible, such as destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, can attest to the fierceness of God’s anger. Since we don’t want God’s anger to consume us, then, we must look for a way of safety from His anger. If we studied the Bible very well, we will discover that 1) only repentance stops God from releasing His wrath 2) But once the wrath is released, two ways of safety from consumption of God’s wrath were established in the bible. We will mention the two ways to be safe from God’s anger and cite relevant cases. The two ways of safety are God’s Mark of Protection and Escaping the Vicinity of God’s Anger. We will look at some cases under each way of safety from God’s anger.


Safety From God’s Anger Through God’s Mark of Protection:

Case 1: Children of Israel in Egypt (Pass Over). Exodus 12: 7, 12-13.

7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood (mark of protection), I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you (safety), when I smite the land of Egypt.

From the above scriptures, we see how God’s anger was to consume both man and beast (verse 12) but we also saw how God ordered the Israelites to mark their doorposts with blood of lamb to serve as mark of protection against the killings (verse 7, 13). Without that mark of protection, the Israelites would have been consumed (destroyed) by the plague as well.


Case 2: 144,000 Jewish Elects During Great Tribulation. Revelations 6:17, 7:1-4

Revelations 6:17

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Revelations 7:1-4

1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads (mark of protection).

4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

From Revelations 6:17, it was stated that the great day of the Lord’s wrath (anger) had come. Then a question was asked if there was anyone who could survive the wrath. What followed Revelations 6:17’s question was seen in Revelations 7: 1-4. God ‘s angels took positions to begin to hurt the earth, seas, and trees but another angel summoned them to wait till they put God’s seal (mark of protection) on the 144,000 elects foreheads.

That seal put on the 144,000 elects was mark of God’s protection to spare them from destruction to come. Without that mark of protection, they will be hurt in the destruction to come when the angels begin to hurt the earth after Rapture. Can you see what we are trying to point out? Nobody could contain God’s anger without God’s mark of protection.


Case 3: Noah’s Ark During The Flood. Genesis 6:7, 14

7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

We can see from Genesis 6: 7 above that God said He would consume man and beast after man had provoked Him to anger through wickedness. However, He asked Noah to build an ark in verse 14. This would serve as Noah’s protection from the destruction to come. Otherwise, God’s all-consuming anger will consume Noah and his family.


Safety From God’s Anger By Escaping The Vicinity of His Anger

Case 1: Lot And His Family. Genesis 19:17-22

17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:

19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:

20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.

21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.

22[b] Haste[/b] thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

In verse 17 of Lot’s case above, we see how the angel of God told Lot to escape from all the plain; the vicinity of God’s anger. Otherwise, the angel said, Lot will be consumed. The word ‘escape’ was used 4 times between verse 17 to 22. Two other words of urgency, flee and haste, were also used in conjunction with the word ‘escape’ to show how serious and urgent Lot must take the issue of escaping. The angels understood that once the anger of God is released, it cannot be held back and it will consume everything, both man and beast: only those whom the Lord Himself had marked for protection can be spared.


Case 2: Bride of Christ at Rapture. Mark 13: 27

27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Rapture is a way of escape that God has provided for true believers in Jesus Christ to escape from earth so as not to be consumed in the destruction that God would pour upon the earth. Immediately after rapture, the cup of wrath (anger) of God will be poured upon the whole earth and its inhabitants. All people, cities, nations, tribes that are found on planet earth at that time will experience God’s anger. Bible calls the period, the great tribulation. Only the 144,000 Jews who have the mark of Protection of God would be spared. This is why Jesus Christ has to ESCAPE His bride from earth to HEAVEN. Otherwise, the bride of Christ will be consumed by the anger of God.


THREE THINGS THAT SHALL COME TO PASS AT RAPTURE

We have been trying to explain what it means to escape by using God’s anger as a reference. Now, let us highlight and explain the phrase ‘those things that shall come to pass’ as contained in the instruction Our Lord, Jesus Christ, gave to us in Luke 21: 36. Thereafter, we will understand the full weight of the instruction and what we are expected to be doing at this time.

Three things shall come to pass at rapture, and no matter who you are, you will experience only one of them. Everyone on earth, without exception, at the time of rapture must go through one or the other. Immediately the rapture trumpet sounds, you, even you will go through one of the tree events. They are listed and explain below.

1. Some people will escape by rapture, 1 Thessalonians 4:17

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Many people will suddenly be caught up from earth to heaven. This is rapture. These are those that will escape the other two things that shall come to pass. This is what Jesus asks us to pray to achieve.


2. Some people will go through Sudden Destruction 1 Thess 5:2-3

2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

In the scripture above, Apostle Paul said that on ‘the day of the Lord’ (day of rapture) sudden destruction would come upon people and they would not escape. Note that contrary to those people whom will escape by rapture, these people will not escape but will go through destruction. I will explain the term ‘sudden destruction’ with a revelation I had when I was studying the book of Revelations, Chapter 6 especially about verses 7-8.

7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

While I was studying the Chapter, I became confused when I got to verses 7 and 8, because of what was said that when The Lord Jesus Christ breaks the 4th seal, Death and Hell will be released and they will be given power to kill a quarter of human population.

I started making calculations as follows. I said the population of the world at that time, around 2010, was about 7 billion. I asked; Does that mean about one and a half billion people would die through all the prevalent disasters, wars, famine and so on, before the rapture happens. I was confused not because I doubt what the scripture says but by the number of people I calculate that will be killed; over 1 billion people. 1 billion people is so humongous that I became confused and afraid.

Then, I fell asleep right beside my bible and had a dream. In the dream, I was given a piece of paper and a pen and I was asked to write. Five things were dictated to me to write down in the dream. One of them was that ‘on the day of rapture, about 1 billion people will die worldwide’. Then I woke up.

When I woke up, Holy Spirit began to minister to me about the dream. He made me know the following things (1) Death and Hell that were released would complete their assignment on the day of rapture. (2) He said it is on the day of rapture that about one billion people that I calculated would be killed. (3) He made me know that if I added the numbers of people that have died in disasters before rapture and about one billion people that will die on the day of rapture, it will make up the one-quarter that the scripture says the Death will kill. (4) He said all those that die as a result of the rapture will go to hell immediately and that is why Hell accompanied the Death. (5) He said that is why Apostle Paul called the day of rapture the day of sudden destruction.

May be, we should paint a picture of what the sudden destruction is. Assumed the pilot flying a plane is taken by rapture. The plane will lose control and crash. If it crashes into market place in Africa, for instance, a lot of people will die suddenly at once, without escaping: that is sudden destruction. Consider a very busy road with a lot of vehicles moving at the same time and many drivers are raptured, there will be a lot of multiple accidents at the same time and many people will die suddenly without escape. This is the sudden destruction that Apostle Paul was talking about. IF YOU MISS RAPTURE AND ARE CAUGHT BY THAT SUDDEN DESTRUCTION, YOU WILL GO TO HELL. It shows you are not in right standing with God. If you are in right standing with God, you should have made the rapture and escape.


Prophet Jeremiah saw the ‘sudden destruction’ that would happen on the day of rapture in Jeremiah 25: 30-33 but I will quote only verse 33 to buttress my point. His account describes all the pictures we have painted above.

33 And the slain (those caught up in sudden destruction) of the LORD shall be at that day (day of rapture) from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth (worldwide): they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground (they will be too many to gather for burial).


3. the remaining people will go through the great tribulation

All those who did not escape by rapture nor caught up in the sudden destruction will enter into seven year great tribulation immediately. During this period, God will be pouring out His undiluted wrath upon all those aho are left behind. At the same time, the antichrist will be persecuting those who still want to stay with God. It is better to have escaped by rapture than to experience this period. Our teachings about the period of great tribulations will be released later. The teaching has been started and will soon be conclude.

The day of the Lord is hasting quicky. Make hsate to escape.

Repent in Christ Jesus and make Him your Lord and Saviour.

WARNING BEFORE JUDGEMENT is GRACE.

Lot found such and He realised it was grace. GENESIS 19: 12-19

12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:

13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:

19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:

Let us repent and embrace this grace.

1 cor 7: 29-31

29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;

30 And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;

31 And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

time is extremely short. the world and its fashion is passing away.

If you missed rapture, it cannot be a fault of God. It cannot be that you have not heard that it would happen. it can be your own fault, only.

Repent and Prepare in Holiness and Righteousness.

False prophets have besieged the church. Our Lord, Jesus Christ warned us in mathew 24:24 that if the elect are not careful, they would be deceived. If you dont test a man with HIV, You will not know he is HIV-positive. In like manner, If you dont test a false prophet, you will not know he is a false prophet. The bible encourage us to test them. 1 John 4: 1.

JEREMIAH 18:7-10

7 At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;

8 If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.

9 And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;

10 If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

Let us repent and save our souls.

At around 5.50p.m on Friday, 27/09/2013, I had a dream which I believe is a revelation. It was as if I was coming from somewhere outside of Lagos, Nigeria into Lagos, Nigeria and when I arrived at a particular place in Lagos I could not recognize the area again because a violent wind had caused a lot of destruction to that area in Lagos state, Nigeria. I struggled to recognize the place. I saw a lot of trees that had been uprooted by the wind on the road, I saw lot wreckages. I also saw evidence of rain but I did not know whether the rain came along with the wind or it was after the wind had wrecked havoc that the rain fell. I was filled with tears. As I looked around, I saw my cousin and he asked me if I was just seeing the destruction. I told him I was out of Lagos and that I was just coming back. He said it was wind that did the damage. He said nobody noticed the wind was coming and before it started suddenly. Then I told him that God had been showing me in my dream that wind disaster was coming but now it finally happened. Then, I opened my eyes.


After, I opened my eyes, I looked at the time from my phone; it was 5.57 p.m. I typed what I saw on my phone and saved it. Then, I knelt down and prayed to God for mercy and forgiveness. I asked him in prayer that I will put this dream across on Sunday but if He did not want me to put it across or if the message is not from Him, He should speak to me before Sunday morning, 29/09/2013. That same night, I had the second similar dream. I saw my cousin that I saw my earlier dream in the evening. We were in the same location where I met him in the earlier dream of evening, and suddenly a very violent wind started to blow. We ran to a house to hide there. Immediately; in few seconds, the wind removed the roof of the house. I was scared. Then rain began to fall. It ended. I knew the Lord had confirmed the vision.


I don’t know if this wind that is coming is an hurricane or tornado or typhoon or a superstorm. One thing I know is that it is only REPENTANCE (asking God for mercy and turning away from sins) in CHRIST JESUS that can make GOD, THE FATHER, to repent of His judgment and turn His fierce anger away, also. Jeremiah 18: 7-10

Let us repent and pray for mercy in Lagos state, Nigeria.

TOPIC: PREPARING FOR RAPTURE (PART3): BEING FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

INTRODUCTION

From our texts above, we can see that Our Lord, Jesus Christ, finished His revelations to John, The Apostle, with emphatic repetitions of the statement; ‘I come quickly’. He repeated this statement three times. The first time He rendered the statement, He was giving a warning, (revelations 22:7). The second time He rendered the statement, He was giving a warning, as well, (revelations 22:12). But the third time, He was not giving a warning. He gave an assurance; a statement of certainty.

Our Lord, Jesus Christ, changed from a statement of warning to a statement of certainty when The Bride of Christ joined The Holy Spirit to ask Him (Jesus) to come after the second warning (revelations 22:17). Assurance came when The Bride teamed up with The Holy Spirit. In the whole of the Bible, The last words credited to our Lord, Jesus Christ, was those words of assurance of His coming and words came after Bride Partnered with The Spirit.

Bride of Christ, for you to meet with the Lord, Jesus Christ, at rapture, you have to partner with the Holy Spirit. Now, You need the Holy Spirit more than ever before. We are living in a very abnormal season, when everything is happening in abnormal form. If you fail to partner with The Holy Spirit, your strength, wisdom and ability will fail you. The Spirit is already calling on you for partnership. He says; And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.


WHY YOU NEED THE HOLY SPIRIT MORE THAN BEFORE, AT THIS TIME

Prophecies about this time, the end-time, are well and clearly spelt out in the Bible, The True Word of God. A lot of events have been prophesied aforetime to characterize this time and set it apart from all other times and generations before our own. Let us mention some unusual indexes of this time and expatiate why you need The Holy Spirit with respect to these situations.

1. Courage in times of Great Disasters/Calamities:

The Bible prophesied that disasters as we have never witnessed since creation would begin to happen just as the prophecies are fulfilling now and we have been witnessing an unusual surge in different types of disasters/calamities in recent times; earthquakes, plane crashes, tsunamis, volcanic eruption and so on. In fact, Jesus Christ summarized the reactions of men to these disasters in Luke 21: 26a

26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth

When you see the Tsunami in Indonesia, The earthquake and Tsunami in Japan, The plane Crash in Lagos, The Hurricane and Tornado in America, The Landslide in China and your heart begins to fail you because of these disasters, who will strengthen you and give you courage and tell you that you should be strong; all these disasters must happen for the messiah to come? THE HOLY SPIRIT.

2. Discerning for Deception:

We live in a time of unparallel deceptions. Bride of Christ, most things happening now are anchored on deception. Deceptions are everywhere; in government, in advertisement, in politics, in every sphere of life. It would be so difficult to see truth today. The most pathetic of all situations is deception in the church.

Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, warned us in Mathew 24: 24 that the deception will be so alarming that if the bride of Christ did not take care, she would be deceived.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

However, The Lord, Jesus Christ, advised us in Revelations 3: 18c to anoint our eyes with eye salve that we may see.

18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy unclothedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Bride of Christ, we are exposed to deceptions like torrential rain even from many altars these days. When false prophets/pastors begin to bamboozle you right in the church, who will anoint your eyes with eyesalve that you may discern the deceptions and escape? THE HOLY SPIRIT.

3. Power to continue waiting till He comes:

I was told of a pastor that He used to say often that: ‘Let The Owner even come’, whenever he saw the level of sins being committed in all places and especially within and around the places of worship. By saying The Owner, the pastor meant Jesus Christ. The last information I heard about the Pastor was that He had backslided. He could not wait for The Owner any longer. I pray that The Lord should restore him unto His coming.

In Mathew 25:1-10, The Lord, Jesus Christ, told us a parable of 10 virgins, who all slept of because their bridegroom tarried and the lamps of 5 of them ran out of oil. This parable is both a parable and a prophecy which must be fulfilled.

5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Bride of Christ, are you sleeping off spiritually. Has your lamp run out of oil? If you are sleeping spiritually, who will wake you up and say behold He is coming? THE HOLY SPIRIT. When your lamp is dwindling and you are running out of oil, Who will fill your lamp with oil (The internal energy you need to carry on)? THE HOLY SPIRIT.

4. Counsel and Utterance during Persecution:

There is gross hatred for God, His word and His people in this time. Some governments of nations have removed name of God from their constitutions. Some have prevented public evangelism. There are reported cases of Christians worshippers being bombed right inside the church during worship. There was a popular case of a pastor who was arrested and prosecuted for preaching the gospel.

Jesus Christ warned us in John 16:1-2 that they would do all these things to us.

1 These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.

2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

He reiterated it in Mark 13:9, 11 that we shall be hated and persecuted because of Him.

9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

However, the Lord Jesus Christ counseled us in Mark 13: 11 to rely on Holy Spirit during this period.

11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

When you are hated and persecuted for no reason other than being a Christian who will give comfort to your soul and give you words that your persecutor can not deny or gainsay? THE HOLY SPIRIT.

5. Consecration For Holy living:

The Mystery of Iniquity is really working in this generation. People are committing sin on a very gross scale. When it comes to issue of iniquity (sin), I don’t think the generation of Noah did up to what this generation is doing presently. Living holy is becoming more difficult. Even government policies are making holy living difficult in some cases. Without extreme in-filling of the Holy Spirit at the time, the bride of Christ may be polluted and defiled.

I believe we have mentioned a good number of reasons why you need to be filled with Holy Spirit at this time. Though, the reasons could be more than these, but because of time and space, I will stop at these ones and talk about being filled with the Spirit.


DEGREES OF HOLY SPIRIT FILLING

Before I talk about being filled Holy Spirit, I will like to explain that there are levels or degree to which a believer can be filled with Holy Spirit. Ezekiel 47:2-5 alludes to this fact. Lets examine it.

2 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.

4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.

5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

This passage could be used to explain the various levels to which a believer could be filled with the Holy Spirit.
The lowest level of filling of Holy Spirit is as if a man is filled with river water to the ankle. Every believer was filled with the Holy Spirit to this level at conversion. We need at least a small conviction of the Holy Spirit to accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour. This is reiterated in 1 Corinthians 12:3b which says: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Every believer will remain in this level unless he grows in the Spirit.

The next level of the filling of the Holy Spirit is as if a man is filled with river water to the knees. Following this, the next level is as if he is filled to loin with river water.

The greatest infilling of Holy Spirit is as if a man is dropped into a great river and he is submerged in the waters so much that He cannot control himself. The waters begin to move him and direct him about. This is the level of filling of Holy Spirit that can survive the madness going on around the world right now. You have to be filled with Holy Spirit to such an extent that all of your actions, steps, wills, are controlled by the Holy Ghost. Apostle Paul puts it in another way in Ephesians 5: 18

18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

A man filled with excess wine will be intoxicated. He will not control himself again but the wine will control him. In a similar manner, Apostle Paul is advising that we should fill ourselves with Holy Spirit and be controlled by Him like a drunkard is filled with excess wine and his controlled by it.


BEING FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
The following activities will help you as you desire to be filled with The Holy Spirit to the highest level.

1. STUDYING THE WORD OF GOD (BIBLE):
Imagine that you just set up a fire and stop to add firewood; very soon, the fire will be extinguished. Each time you study the bible genuinely, spiritually, it can be likened to adding firewood to a burning fire. Rather than the fire should die off, it will increase in intensity. Study the word of God. Chew it as food if you can. Study about salvation, holiness, righteousness, fear of God, heaven, hell. Make Jesus your focus as you study. Study about end time prophecies from the bible and observe if they are being fulfilled. It will help you to focus more.

2. OBEYING THE WORD OF GOD:

The purpose of studying the word of God is that you can know the truth and apply it to your life as you prepare for the return of the Lord. Obeying the word of God is like adding fuel to the firewood you have added to the fire. Live solely on the undiluted word of God. There is perversion of His word everywhere, today. Search for the truth and live by it. If you are confused about anything in His word, pray for understanding.

3. FASTING:

Bride of Christ, you need to fast. The more you engage in the things of the flesh, the farther you drive the Holy Spirit away and vice versa. The way ladies dress these days, the songs that are played on the radios, the pictures shown on our televisions and so on increase us in the flesh unconsciously and tend to drive away the Spirit of God in us if we are not careful. Fasting will help us to break down our flesh so that we will not respond to all these things. Please fast always to be in the Spirit at all times till The Lord comes. You can do a Daniel type of fasting, or water fasting, or Esther/Paul fasting or just ordinary fasting.

4. EVANGELISM:

If you want to experience manifestation of the Holy Spirit, go on evangelism, always, and make sure you preach His true gospel.

5. HOLY LIVING:

Strive to live holy at all times. No matter how much you fast, if you still live unholy life, you will not increase in Holy Spirit. He does not dwell in unholy temple.

6. WORSHIPPING:

Please, find a quiet place where you can worship God, in the presence of the Holy Spirit and do it regularly. Remember the Lord said those who must worship God must worship Him in Truth and in Spirit. Be in the Spirit everywhere you are. Praise Him. Sing to Him. If you cannot sing aloud, sing in your heart. Be guided by what the bible says in Ephesians 5: 18-19

18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

7. WATCHING AND PRAYING:

When you study bible, The Holy Spirit is speaking to you. when you pray, you are speaking to Him. Also, watch. When you watch, the Holy Spirit will be revealing the deceptions of the time to you. He will also give you biblical interpretations of what are happening all around the world.


SUMMARY

The Holy Spirit wants to go. He is already telling the Lord to come. The wickedness of this generation is too great. Humanity is too sinful for Our Comforter. Everyday, He convicts and convicts all men to repent but we harden ourselves the more like in the days of Noah. The Holy Spirit is sounding His voice everyday that The Lord Jesus should come. He is busy sounding His voice in the buses, on the streets, in the churches, in your dreams, and in all places and situations that The Lord Jesus should come.

Bride of Christ, can you hear that the Spirit is already calling The Lord to come? If you cannot hear His call, not to talk of joining Him to call The Lord to come, then, perhaps, you don’t have The Spirit inside of you or you are not part of the bride or worse still you are too attached to the activities of this world that you fail to realize that The Spirit is already making the final call. The last seconds are ticking away now. Come and team up with The Spirit of God that you may say; even so, come Lord Jesus and receive the blessed assurance.


ACTIONS

Are you an elect of Christ? Are you truly saved? Are you on the narrow road? Do you want to make the rapture/heaven? If your answers are yes, then,

• Make all efforts to heed the warnings of Jesus Christ.

• Be watchful. Pay attention to what is happening around the World and see whether they match what the scriptures say.

• Be filled with the Holy Spirit and be in the Spirit all the time.

• Fast, consecrate yourself, run away from sin and worldliness.

If your answers are NO, then you can repent today. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord.


PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

If you will like to confess your sins and accept Jesus to save you, say the following prayers, sincerely and faithfully and make a determination never to commit sin again.

Lord, Jesus Christ, I am sorry for all my sins. I confess them with my mouth and I ask for mercy. Please forgive me and wash me in your blood. I accept you as my personal Lord and Saviour. Write my name in the book of life. Give me power over sins and fill me with your Spirit and Joy of Salvation. When rapture trumpet sounds, let me make it. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus name, I pray.

Begin to read bible. Begin with the book of John. Pray always. Fast regularly (you can begin with once in a week). Look for a bible believing church where they teach repentance, holiness, salvation and fellowship with them. Pray before you go. Don’t just go to any church. There are a lot of deceptions out there. • Lord, Jesus Christ, baptize today with your Holy Spirit and fire.

• Holy Spirit of God, anoint my eyes with eyesalve, that I may see.

• From today, Holy Spirit, I team up with you till the Lord comes. Even, so, come
