PoliticsRe: BREAKING: PDP Crusade Vehicles Set On Fire In Enugu (VIDEO) by AnonPoet: 2:10am On Jan 14, 2019
This evening, five campaign vehicles branded with pictures of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Enugu State , His Excellency, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and that of his running mate, Her Excellency, Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo, were set ablaze by yet to be identified hoodlums at the Tickles Centre, along Osadebe Street opposite WTC, Ogui, New Layout, Enugu.

It must be noted that this is not the first time such attack is visited on the campaign facilities of the PDP in Enugu State by those who are obviously uncomfortable with the existing peace and good governance in the state since the inception of the present administration. We are not unaware of the apparent confusion in some opposition camps given that there is practically no attempt on their parts at campaigning to the Enugu electorate. This despicable resort to arson runs contrary to the prevailing mood in the state which is arguably the most peaceful in the country. We therefore deprecate this dastardly act and view it as the climax of their crass desperation and inordinate pursuit for power.

We hereby call on the general public to be aware of this ugly development and urge our teeming supporters to continue to remain calm and law abiding even in the face of this inexplicable provocation. The matter has been formally reported to the appropriate authoritative and we have implicit faith in their capacity to bring the culprits to book.

2019 Election is about the survival of Nigeria - Obi

"The 2019 election is not about Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and President Muhammadu Buhari, but about the survival of Nigeria." This was the Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP speaking to the press at Amichi shortly after the dedication of the new Secretariat and the School of Nursing of the Amichi Anglican Diocese at the weekend.

Obi said that the present Government had shown great incapacity for governance that had manifested in all the vices plaguing the country and should not be allowed to continue.

Speaking further, he cited examples of the insecurity in different part of the country such as Borno and Zamfara, homes of the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff, respectively, and even Katsina state, the home of President Buhari.

On the economy, Mr Obi regretted that Nigeria cannot be said to have any economic base at the moment when Nigerian youths in their productive ages had been rendered unproductive due to lack of vision, planning and effective implementation. He said it was unfortunate that under Buhari's APC government, Nigeria had become the poverty capital of the world.

Mr Obi frowned at a situation where a quarter of Nigeria's 2019 budget is devoted only to service of debt, a situation he said portended grave danger for the country.

Obi expressed optimism that with the detribalised and hard working Atiku, Nigeria would be made to start working again.

PoliticsEnugu Governor Directs Immediate Restoration Of Electricity To Amaigbo/amawusa by AnonPoet(op): 11:05pm On Jan 12, 2019
Touching the lives of the people positively...

There was excitement as Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State on Saturday paid a surprise visit to Amaigbo/Amawusa suburb in Obiagu, Ogui Nike, Enugu North Local Government Area, to identify with them and know how they were faring.

Gov. Ugwuanyi who was cheered by jubilant residents of the area, teeming supporters and admirers, trekked to the interior part of the community and took time to listen to them and to ascertain the challenges they encounter with a view to addressing them.

After identifying their basic needs, the governor directed the immediate restoration of electricity to the suburb for the people to enjoy constant power supply. He promised them that his commissioner for works and infrastructure will visit next week to take necessary action towards the rehabilitation of the road and connection of the bridge that will link the area with the neighboring communities.

Gov. Ugwuanyi offered immediate appointment to two residents of the area as his Executive Assistants, amid jubilation and reiterated his administration’s commitment towards the wellbeing of the people of the state, whom he described as the true heroes of democracy.

Speaking on behalf of the community, Mr. Emeka Eze thanked Gov. Ugwuanyi for the unscheduled visit and commended his humility and passion for their wellbeing. Mr. Eze also applauded the governor for the quick intervention he made to ameliorate their plight, stressing that the gesture has gone a long way to give them a sense of belonging as citizens of the state.

He therefore assured the governor of their total support for his re-election in March this year for him to continue the good work he has started.

Truly, Enugu State is in the hands of the God. #amokelouis

PoliticsAtiku Reacts To CJN Onnoghen's Petition in CCB by AnonPoet(op): 5:43pm On Jan 12, 2019
A Clarion Call In Defence Of Our Constitution
I have received the news of the sudden charges about to be filed against the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, with apprehension and suspicion especially as such a move against the head of an arm of our government is coming so close to an election in which the Buhari administration has shown growing desperation.

My suspicions are further exacerbated by the fact that the Buhari government is pressuring an independent and self governing arm of government with the aim of getting CJN Walter Onnoghen to resign or be pushed aside.

I stand on the side of the rule of law and believe that a person is innocent until proven guilty and note that a media trial is no trial.

If Justice Walter Onnoghen is guilty of the charges about to be preferred against him, let his guilt be determined by a competent court of law and not by the Buhari administration. The executive cannot usurp the role of the judiciary. Nigeria is still a democracy and not a fascist dictatorship as President Buhari may wish.

Any attempt to force Justice Walter Onnoghen to vacate his office, 4 weeks to an election for which the unpopular Buhari administration has shown every intention to manipulate, is a move pregnant with negative meaning.

I see no reason whatsoever for the ongoing pressure by the Buhari government to force Justice Walter Onnoghen to vacate office when he has not been convicted for any offence.

Nigerians may recall that this government has a history of manipulating the law against the heads of arms of government it considers unfriendly to its cause. A case in point is their malicious prosecution and persecution of the Senate President, Distinguished Senator Bukola Saraki.

I therefore call on the President to respect the principle of separation of powers and abide by the rule of law on this matter and stop any interference or pressure on Justice Walter Onnoghen or the judiciary and allow the law and the constitution take its full course.

PoliticsEmotional Moment When Orphans And Idps Hug Atiku In Plateau by AnonPoet(op): 5:36pm On Jan 12, 2019
The presidential flagbearer of the PDP on his visit to Plateau State, has stopped over at the Bukuru the IDP camp. This IDP camp houses people displaced from the herdsmen crisis ravaging the North Central. This was followed with tears of joy from some of the orphans and kids present, as they hugged him and did not want to let go. The presidential aspirant who grew up without his father, could easily connect with the kids since he was in the same condition while growing up in Jeddah Adamawa State. Atiku Abubakar spent a lot of time with the kids, asking them about their dreams and aspirations and hearing them out. He also made a 10 million naira donation to the children, before leaving the IDP.

There is almost an IDP camp in Nigeria for all the 36 states of the country. Borno, Yobe and Adamawa have turned into a large IDP camp, with the North Central and North West taking over in the insecurity gymnastics. Atiku Abubakar having been in this situation before, understands the plight of these people and Nigerians need him to make life meaningful for the IDPs again. In fact, Nigerians need Atiku mainly for his empathy and human feelings. Nigerians need a president that will make human-friendly policies. His understanding of the needs of humans around him makes him a favorite for these IDPs and Nigerians in general. Nigerians will head to the polls in February 16th and the choice will be between a President that shoots protesters at sight, and a President that makes distressed Nigerians a priority.

The Gombe township stadium was filled to the brim with passionate supporters as they welcomed the PDP presidential flag-bearer Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, his running mate,Peter Obi, the National Chairman and other members of the People’s Democratic Party. The highly joyous crowd of supporters could not hide their excitement as the speakers made their intentions to make Nigeria better. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who spoke in the native Hausa was particular about the lies the APC has sold Nigerians, the current sorry state of the country and his plans . In his words, “don’t allow police and INEC to rig Nigerians.” He continued and announced that “we are going to win,” to the jubilation of the attendant crowd.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Dogara who was present at the rally said “Democracy always offers us the opportunity to correct ourselves and four years os too long for a bad leader…”
These statements come at a time that the region suffers a lot of security challenges, with civilian deaths reaching their highest thousands since 2015. The North-east region of Nigeria has become the most terrorized region in Africa, with the Shehu of Borno recently announcing that Boko Haram still holds territories in the Region. Atiku’s plans are a beacon light of hope for the joyous crowd who are in awe of the prospect of an Atiku presidency. For them, they are convinced that just as Atiku creates more than 20,000 jobs for them in his various private companies, there will be even better jobs for them when Nigerians vote him into power.

PoliticsAPC Hacking Claims Show The Party Is Afraid Of The Inevitable Atiku Win In 2019 by AnonPoet(op): 1:28pm On Dec 18, 2018
Recent accusations from the All Progressive Congress (APC) that the visit of the President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki to Russia earlier in the year was to perfect plans to hack the 2019 elections show immense fear the APC has about the inevitability of an Atiku victory in a free and fair election come 2019. The APC having failed on its own campaign promises to promote Nigeria’s national interests through foreign policy objectives, now consider a visit that was expressly to promote bilateral cooperation between both countries to fight against human trafficking and terrorism as having had a more sinister motive.

It is a well known fact that the APC is the party which has shown that it has no interest in a credible, free and fair elections; they have shown this during the Osun and Ekiti elections that were characterized by widespread voter intimidation and harassment and President Muhammadu Buhari’s refusal to sign the amendment to the Electoral Bill that would guarantee the use of card readers and reduce the incidence of underage voting and the use of uncollected Personal Voter’s Cards (PVC) to vote in the upcoming elections.

It appears that the party is growing apprehensive at the growing support for the PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and his running mate Peter Obi, and are hell bent on scaring Nigerians with ridiculous claims that the integrity of INEC will be put at risk by allowing the use of card readers and the immediate transmission of results on election day. Nigerians must stand their ground and demand that the President and his party commit credible, free and fair elections, especially since the electoral umpire INEC has released a statement assuring Nigerians that it has upgraded its security measures, to forestall any security breach. This is simply another cry in the wilderness from the APC, to justify their plans to rig the 2019 election.

LiteratureNora Roberts Replies Accusation Of Plagiarism By Tomi Adeyemi In Style by AnonPoet(op): 7:24am On Nov 30, 2018
Tomi Adeyemi just got gutted and it was done with class.

I’m not on Twitter. I’ve said before and will say again, I’d rather be poked in the eye with a burning stick than tweet. I’m only on Instagram and Facebook because the amazing Laura runs the show.

I write. I spend my days working, my evenings either working or with my family. Or zoned in front of the TV, basically brain dead.

I don’t spend much time on social media. I recognize its power, I appreciate its ability to connect writers with readers. And I also understand how easily it can be weaponized to incite flame wars. So I’m very careful with my use of it–and Laura is even more so.

I write. It’s what I do. What I love and what I’ve spent three decades learning how to do well. Or as well as I possibly can.

But there are a lot of authors who spend a great deal of time on social media. Some are absolute geniuses with the tools, and use them beautifully.

Others. Not so much.

I don’t believe, and have never believed in taking personal issues onto public forums. I don’t believe, and have never believed–will never believe–in a writer attacking another writing on a public forum. It’s unprofessional, it’s tacky and the results are, always, just always, ugly.

Recently another writer used her social media forums to baselessly, recklessly accuse me of stealing the title of her book–which is bullshit right off–to attempt to profit from this theft. She had no facts, just her emotions, and threw this out there for her followers.

First, let’s address the particular title which happens to be similar. I titled this particular book, wrote this book, turned this book into my publisher nearly a year before her book–a first novel–was published. So unless I conquered the time/space continuum, my book was actually titled before hers. Regardless, you can’t copyright a title. And titles, like broad ideas, just float around in the creative clouds. It’s what’s inside that counts.

It’s just a title.

By accusing me, in public, of attempting to ‘shamelessly profit’ off of her creativity, she incited her readers into attacking me–on her feed, then on my pages, then on the internet in general. She did nothing to stop this. I have been accused of theft, of trying to use this first time writer–whose book has been well received–for my own profit. To ride her coattails as I have no originality. This after more than thirty years in the business, more than two hundred books.

I was accused of plagiarism–for a title–of stealing her ideas–though I had never heard of her book before this firestorm, have never read her book.

And trust me, I never will now.

This is what happens when a reckless statement is made on social media. It becomes a monstrous lie that spreads and grows and escalates.

I don’t know this woman; she doesn’t know me. She lit the match, foolishly. Perhaps being young and new and so recently successful she doesn’t fully understand the relationship between a writer and her readers, or the power of an ugly insinuation posted on Twitter. But, God, you should know how tools work before you use them
.

We should all take a lesson here. Think, then think again, before you post. Be sure of your facts before you take a shot at someone. Be prepared for the vicious fallout once you do.

Could you have dug a little deeper to check facts? Could you have contacted the person in question and had a conversation? In this case–writer to writer–could you have spoken to your publisher, your agent, about the fact that a title can’t be stolen in the first place?

Could you have, perhaps, checked the timeline? If your book came out a few months before the other book (and if you know SQUAT about publishing) you’d certainly realize it was written, titled and in production when yours hit the stands. So how could a damn title be ‘stolen’?

To be accused of plagiarism by some faceless reader on the internet, one who felt entitled to spread that lie gutted me. I’ve been plagiarized, and will always have an open wound from the blow. To me, plagiarism is the most terrible sin a writer can commit.

I have worked my entire career to build a foundation of professionalism, of teamwork with my publisher, to create a community with other writers, and to show readers I value them–not just with communication, but by doing my best to give them good books.

No one who knows me would believe any of these accusations. But that’s the problem. Those making them don’t know me, they simply lash out because they can.

This foolish and false statement has damaged my reputation. Vicious and ugly accusations and names have been tossed at me when I did nothing but write and title a book.

While this writer issued a kind of retraction after I reached out to her, it didn’t stop some of her readers from calling me a liar, and worse. We reached out again, asking her to put out the fire.

We’ve had no response, not from her, not from her agent.

Shame on them.

I had every intention of letting this go, until the flames kept burning, until the attacks kept coming. And nothing was done by the person who lit the match to stop it.

I don’t like taking my issues public. But I will stand up for myself. I will defend my integrity and my reputation and my work.

I’m appalled by this, sickened by it. I’m disgusted that people who don’t know me would feel free to say vicious things about me. I know very well the anonymity of the internet can foster such nastiness, but it still disgusts me.

Words have great power–to harm, to heal, to teach, to entertain. A writer, one who wants to forge a career with words, should understand that. And use them, as well as the tools at her disposal, wisely.

I’ve very deliberately not mentioned the name of the writer who started this, or the title of her book or mine. I don’t want this to escalate any more than it has. I don’t want my readers to go on the attack. It’s not cool. I simply want to set the record straight.

I’m Nora Roberts. I’m a hard-working writer, and an honest one.

That’s it.

Politics2019: Ex-enugu Councillors Endorse Gov Ugwuanyi For Second Term by AnonPoet(op): 5:30am On Oct 30, 2018
https://i1.wp.com/media.premiumtimesng.com/wp-content/files/2017/08/Governor-Ifeanyi-Ugwuanyi1.jpg?w=1208

Some former councillors in Enugu State have endorsed Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for a second term.

The councillors, under the auspices of Ex-Councillors Forum, between 1999-2015, unanimously agreed to rally support for his re-election in 2019.

The ex-legislators, who gathered in their numbers at the Government House, Enugu on a solidarity visit, said their decision was based on Mr Ugwuanyi’s outstanding performance in office, especially “in the areas of infrastructural provisions, workers’ welfare, restoration of political stability and above all, the creation of enabling environment for peace and security in Enugu State.”

Moving the motion for the endorsement of the governor for a second term in office, Ike Owoh, who represented Abia Ward in Udi Local Government Area, between 1999-2002, stated that he was constrained to move the motion to enable the governor “to continue with his good works in Enugu State”.

Seconding the motion moved by Mr Owoh, the former councillor who represented Oduma Ward II in Aninri LGA (2007-2015), Onyii Nwafor-Odii, said he was “driven by unreserved sincerity and honesty of heart with the utmost conviction” that Mr Ugwuanyi has “performed excellently in this first tenure of his governance of the most peaceful state of the federation – Enugu State”.

Mr Nwafor-Odii stressed that the governor “beyond any human imagination, deserves a non-negotiable second tenure in the office as consented to by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999) as amended.”

“On this brief note therefore, I speak unequivocally to second the perfectly delivered motion of endorsement of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi (Gburugburu) by my colleague, as our number one and only candidate for 2019 governorship election so as to accomplish all his well directed visions and mission for the people of Enugu State,” he said.

Adopting the motion unanimously, after it was put to a voice vote by the leader of the forum, Chidiebere Okoh, the ex-councillors endorsed Mr Ugwuanyi for a second term in office and also presented the endorsement certificate to him as a symbol of their support and noble resolution.

They reassured the governor of their firm commitment to mobilise and campaign vigourosly for his electoral victory in the 2,956 polling units, declaring: We are ever ready to fight the battle for you.”

Earlier, in his remark, the group’s coordinator, Kizito Awalu, applauded Mr Ugwuanyi for his absolute faith in God, and congratulated him, on behalf of his colleagues, on the historic victory recorded by the Rangers International Football Club of Enugu, in the finals of the NFF/AITEO Federation Cup, pointing out that it was a clear manifestation that the governor always trusts his faith in God.

Mr Ugwuanyi, who thanked the elated ex-legislators for their solidarity, goodwill and support, reassured them of his administration’s commitment to the growth and development of the state.

PropertiesEnugu Govt. Awards Contract For Workers’ Housing Estate Road Project by AnonPoet(op): 6:56am On Oct 29, 2018
…extends potholes’ maintenance to Abakpa, Emene, Coal Camp, Awkunanaw, others

The administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, in keeping with its commitment to the wellbeing of the workers and rural development programmes, has awarded contract for the construction of access roads to the 100 Housing Units at Ede-Oballa, Nsukka Local Government Area for Nigerian workers.

The project is being developed by the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) in collaboration with Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress Nigeria (TUC), and Nigeria Employer’s Consultative Association (NECA).

Recall that the housing project was recently flagged off by the governor at a colorful ceremony witnessed by all relevant stakeholders, such as the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige and the National President of Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), Comrade (Dr.) Bobboi Bala Kaigama, who commended Gov. Ugwuanyi for his sterling performance in office and outstanding commitment to the welfare of the state’s workers.

Briefing newsmen after the meeting of the State Executive Council, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Greg Nnaji disclosed that the council expressly awarded the road contract in fulfillment of one of its contributions to the speedy actualization of the housing project for the benefit of the workers.

Engr. Nnaji noted that the state government had already commenced some vital works on the site, which allowed access to the site during the ground breaking ceremony, such as site clearing, explaining that the road will provide access to both the federal government initiated housing project and the state government’s proposed site for construction of a mini secretariat that will serve as annex to the main secretariat in Enugu.

He added that the road project will cost the state government the sum of N315 million, assuring that it will be delivered to standard and in record time.

The works commissioner also stated that the council awarded contract for the extension of the construction of Achi-Akpa-Daughters of Divine Love road, Abakpa Nike, Enugu, from the DDL gate to its Juniorate School, saying the decision was in line with the state government’s urban renewal programme.

On the maintenance of potholes in Enugu urban and intercity roads, Engr. Nnaji further stated that the state government has covered about 7,500 square meters stretching close to 1kilometer.

He further explained that government had “a little break” to enable it assess the performance of the contractors and make necessary inputs aimed at improving the output to serve the public better, saying: “We will return to site very soon”.

The commissioner revealed that road maintenance in Enugu State will now be a continuous process, pointing out that “new portholes are being identified and the team is moving to other zones such as Emene, Abakpa Nike, Coal Camp, Awkunanaw, etc for maintenance”, while the exercise in the areas already started continues.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Ogbuagu Anikwe, told newsmen that the council approved the purchase of 17 tractors for the 17 L.G.As on trial basis, at the cost of N2.15 million each, stressing that “if it works well, the government will buy more to reduce the stress on farmers”.

He added that the state government will encourage individual farmers to buy the tractors “when we are sure of the equipment”.

The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Uche Eze, on his part, disclosed that the council accepted the draft law for the establishment of Enugu State College of Education, Ihe, Awgu L.G.A, presented before it by the committee on the implementation of the university’s programme, “with a view to viewing it critically for further action”.#amokelouis

Poems For Review"Casualties" By Precious Arinze by AnonPoet(op): 6:20pm On Oct 28, 2018
bodies are leathery coffins
every mother gives birth to a funeral
we are adorned with layers of ready to rot flesh
a metropolis of bones waiting to be conquered
arrested
invaded by age
we were intended for decay
clumps of matter bound to earth and ash
that first breath is a sullied promise
carried in body parts
soon to be split open like egg shells
it was never meant to hold us together
to keep us here any longer than we are

what do men become after that first harvest
of milk teeth?
do you remember the first time you felt
your child body leaving you behind?
did you have a name for it then?
the unexpected can be called a miracle
Adedapo a nomenclature for something
wedged between two crowns
lending itself to royalty
names are the hardest things to lose

and we are filling our bodies with pain
and songs that can hold all our fractures
and still stay in tune
our mothers did not give birth to nuclear warheads
for us to be overcome by gunshot wounds
every year this battle of growing rages
we are getting closer to coming home
the empty spaces in ourselves are getting lived in
we are filling these coffins with the casualties
it took to get there
we do not become what we do not live
the unexpected can be called a miracle
and we have become the unexpected

PoliticsPRESS RELEASE: Ekiti Has Not Received Any Money From FG by AnonPoet(op): 1:38pm On Oct 23, 2018
The attention of Ekiti State Government has been drawn to some malicious reports from some quarters that the new administration has received N30 billion from the Federal Government in the last one week.

We would have ignored this baseless rumour that is being circulated on social media by some unscrupulous individuals, but for the sake of members of the public that could be misled in the process.

The fact remains that the new administration has not received any money from the Federal Government or any of its agencies since its inauguration a week ago.

As a responsible government that believes in accountability and transparency, this government will always provide correct information to the people on all its transactions and will not hide anything from the people.

Members of the public are thereby assured of regular briefings on the state of finances and developments in the state.

The era of government by deceit and falsehood has ended on October 15, 2018.

The present administration is focused on meeting its obligations to workers, pensioners and the general public and will not be distracted by lies being told by remnants of the crumbled Ayo Fayose dynasty.

Signed

The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has approved the immediate retirement of the Permanent Secretary, Office of Establishments and Training in the state’s civil service, Olusesan Alabi.

This was contained in a statement on Monday by Fayemi’s Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode.

The statement directed Alabi to hand over to the most senior officer in the office.
Sources told The Eagle Online that Alabi was sacked over the release of employment letters to those the immediate past Administration of former Governor Ayo Fayose directed should be employed.

The Eagle Online gathered that as at Monday (today), Alabi still issued letters of employment to some of the candidates interviewed for employment in the closing days of the Fayose Administration.

Fayemi had after his inauguration on Tuesday met with the leadership of the Ekiti State Civil Service on Wednesday, where he warned against further recruitment.

A source told The Eagle Online: “It was as if all the Governor told the top civil servants fell on Alabi’s deaf ears as he went on issuing letters of employment.

“Even today, he still issued letters, leading to his immediate sack.”

Fayemi had before his inauguration warned against the hiring of workers by the Fayose Administration.

The outgone Administration was owing salaries as at when it left office, with workers at the local government on strike as it exited.

The workers only called off their strike on Sunday.

Fayose had in response to Fayemi’s directive that workers should not be engaged, accused the incumbent of having done the same shortly before handing over to him four years ago.

PoliticsBuhari's Aide, Bashir Ahmad Using Bots To Attack PDP Members On Twitter by AnonPoet(op): 9:48am On Sep 05, 2018
Demola Olarewaju, a political strategist and PDP member has raised alarm over planned attacks against his person by President Buhari's Personal Assistant on New media Bashir Ahmad.

In a series of tweets wherein he shared pictures of a planned online attack by a group headed by Mr. Ahmad, Demola advised the presidential aide to rein in bots allegedly belonging to the Buhari New Media Center (BNMC) which Bashir Ahmad heads as National Coordinator. He also called upon a member of the Nigerian President's media team Johannes Tobi to ensure bots created by them stop coming for him, else he would expose "minutes of meetings, letters requesting money, phone numbers, addresses, bank details, planned propaganda etc"

On Monday, the BNMC had announced a list of appointees to various offices across the team which has been tasked by the Buhari administration to carry on its campaign on New media platforms. Some of the key national officers named include Mr. Jubril Gawat (Deputy National Coordinator South) and Abubakar Barde (Deputy National Coordinator North)

In a statement which was released on the group's website, the BNMC identified itself as "an interactive online platform that houses and connects together the various supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari on all social media platforms everywhere they are in the world, providing them a hub to receive credible information on the achievements, successes and the activities of the President Buhari Administration." Mr. Olarewaju's allegations, however, point to a more sinister purpose; the use of bots and online trolls to harass notable political opponents on social media.

Wikipedia describes Bots as a type of bot software that controls a Twitter account via the Twitter API. Bot software may autonomously perform actions such as tweeting, re-tweeting, liking, following, unfollowing, or direct messaging other accounts. They have been used in elections to spread false news and harass social media users with divergent views.

...appeals to motorists for caution, understanding, cooperation

The administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, in keeping with its mandate to provide and maintain existing infrastructure in the state, has commenced comprehensive repairs of emerging potholes on urban and intercity roads in the state.

The areas undergoing maintenance in Enugu metropolis, at the moment, include Ogui Junction; Otigba Junction; Savage Crescent, G.R.A and Damija, Trans Ekulu, among other locations.

A statement by the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Greg Nnaji, explained that the maintenance work might cause disruption of free flow of traffic as well as restrictions on some affected routes, appealing to motorists and road users for caution and understanding during the period of the exercise.

Engr. Nnaji added that Gov. Ugwuanyi, in the interim, has directed the Ministry of Transport and the traffic control officers to ensure effective management of traffic in the affected areas for ease of transportation.
He therefore, assured the people of the state and road users that the maintenance work will be completed in record time to allow free flow of traffic.

Recall that the state government, a few weeks ago, approved the immediate and comprehensive repairs of emerging potholes on urban carriageways in Enugu and Nsukka, including the intercity roads “to ensure adequate maintenance and sustainability of our roads for safe passage at all times”.

The government disclosed that the state’s Ministry of Works and Infrastructure Operations Team had taken inventory of potholes at the various locations and made adequate provisions for on-the-spot remediation works.

It added that the repairs will be carried out simultaneously at the different clusters/zones for effective impact and aggressive maintenance campaign, in keeping with the state government’s urban renewal agenda.

The state government therefore, appealed to “the general public, the good people of Enugu State, road users including those passing through the state”, to exercise caution during the maintenance exercise. #amokelouis

Last year’s Hall week edition remained the talk of the town until this year's mind blowing edition that featured a lot of activities and exhibition of talents. However, the show would have remained colorless without the red brand and the best student smartphone brand, itel mobile making the series of lined up event a very colorful and memorable one.

As a part of its commitment to being a consumer-driven brand structured to create platforms for youth initiative and unique interaction for users, itel mobile partnered with 6 Hall of residence to celebrate the Unilag hall week, namely; Eni-njoku hall, Kofo hall, Jaja hall, Mariere hall, Honours hall, and Madam Tinubu Hall. Here are highlights of how it all went down:

Also various student artistes performed, making their music the heartbeat of the crowd, as the students moved their bodies in sync to the rhythm of the songs with pure excitement on their faces.

……AND THEY WERE PRESENT TOO:
itel mobile made it a point of duty to excite the students in their hall week celebration by making it a star-studded event with celebrities like Sexy steel, Jaywon, Victor AD, Belinda Effah, CeeCee and Khloe of BBN 2018 present there to enchant the students into a groovy session.

PoliticsGovernor Dakwanbo Took 8 Months To Swear In His Cabinet In 2011, 12 in 2015 by AnonPoet(op):
After all the politicking and members of the Camp of Governor Dakwambo saying they will present a different government from the incumbent president, Buhari it has come to light that the governor also did not swear in his cabinet until almost 8 months after he was sworn in on (wait for it) both terms.

The Gombe state governor was first sworn in May 29, 2011 but he did not swear in commissioner until December 24, 2011 in an event that was described as a jamboree which held in the 10,000 capacity stadium

And while that might be called him being new to things and trying to find his feet, he did it in 2015 but it seems like he was trying to outdo what he did in 2011 as he did not swear I his cabinet until (even I can’t believe this) May 2016 meaning he went almost an entire year.

Is this how he wants to govern Nigeria as president? More of the delayed cabinet?
