I knw someone who isnt good with english but got a schoolarship to study applied physics in the United States. He did so well in Maths in his SAT exams but poor in English yet they recommended him for a scholarship. Swerve.

He doesn't have to be good in english. But he can speak English nd Write in English...Just like you don't have to be good in Maths if you are a lawyer.. But u should kno d basics.. That is all I am saying... Whatever school he applied to he wrote an Essay.. If he couldn't write in English or had a lot of grammatical errors in the essay they certainly won't have accepted him.. One of the criteria to school in d US is Proficiency in English...

There is no way he would do poorly in Reading,Writing nd Language nd get scholarship in US. Maybe to him poorly is 65%

This Lagos hype sef. Why you guys think lagos is developed is because you compare it to other states in Nigeria. If u compared Nigeria with other countries in West Africa we are very developed. The first one I can remember happened when I was in Secondary School

I was going home from hostel to Lagos, I knew before hand the total fare from Shagamu to Lagos so I used the extra money on Mii to eat snacks in the bus from Shagamu to Ikorodu.

On getting to Ikorodu, it had rained and the fares had increased from Ikorodu to Idumota

I had to walk from from Ikorodu to Agric then board a bus from there to K2 then trekked from K2 to Anthony busstop then took a bus from there to Idumota then trek home.

After that experience, I always make sure I have more than enuff money on Mii when commuting anywhere in Nigeria most especially Lasgidi


I was stranded again some months back

I was coming back from work and I had to go to a FedEx facility to receive a package I ordered from Amazon.

I got to the place and I couldn’t get the package because I didn’t have my ID on Mii and to make matters worse my phone died and I couldn’t either call Uber or check the nearest busstop to my location or when the bus will come.

I wanted to buy charger but nowhere to buy from and no one to borrow from either.

I later found my way to a busstop and had to wait there for like an hour before the bus showed up and I had to beg the bus driver again because I had no cash on Mii to pay the bus fare because I use electronic bus pass which is on my dead phone

Nigeria has banned importation of rice. This means there are no more containers of foreign rice being declared at the ports.

Now I know foreign rice are still being smuggled through the land boarders, usually done with small vehicles carrying few bags, but how Bloomberg put a figure to smuggling and even project a rise in the figure for the coming year is what I dont understand.

Something definitely doesn't make sense with the news.

Importation of rice through landborders was banned not importation of rice.. how wud u think they banned importation of rice. U wan starve?
