radec: Make use of other references at your disposal: your employment, id card, payslip and explain the other shortcomings in the LOE, hopefully it will fly In addition to that, get your former boss to write you a reference letter in CIC format, ensure you notarize it, ask him for his business card. Also submit your statement of account showing deposit of salary. If you have email exchanges between you and your former collegues you may also add. CIC is very strict regarding cases such as this. v3: What is the step-by-step procedure to apply for Canada PR?
Hi,
I did the following
Got my IELTS score. The Score was 9- 8–7.5–7.5
Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) tool: skilled immigrants (Express Entry) - went here and checked my CRS score it was 478 for myself and 468 when I included my spouse ( my wife was pregnant at that time).
Did my Education Credential Assessment from World Education Services at https://www.wes.org/ca/. I applied for this and wrote IELTS in parallel it took more than 30+ days to get the doc in hand.
One I had both IELTS score and education assessment I was ready to apply for the PR.
Applied for PR through express entry program at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada | Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada.
Horrified to see my CRS score got dropped to Bleep points. Found out that since I had work experience among different NOC, CIC only took my recent NOC experience and reduced my points. Luckily got ITA in the next draw itself, minimum score was Bleep.
Now it was the time to get all the required documents such as
medical certificate for both my wife and myself.
police certificate for both
experience certificate for both.
proof of funds statement.
Submitted all documents and paid fee for PR processing and right for permanent residence.
Once again horrified to see a message saying my application got cancelled after 3 weeks. The reason being I have not submitted documents for my new born baby since.
The baby is only 1 month old when I submitted application for PR.
I have foolishly mentioned I have minor son in family details then only applied PR for myself and my wife. ( I thought I would change application once I get documents for my baby).
Reapplied express entry on the same day of rejection.
Again got ITA the next day itself, the minimum score was 441.
Got all documents for my baby.
Resubmitted all the documents and repaid the PR processing fees for 3 ppl this time.
Lesson learned, even if double / triple check everything something might always go wrong. Do not loose heart and keep at it. Could you explain more on the bolded?? |

Itsawonder: So you could spam the thread with silly "congratulations" messages? As much as we're happy for all successful applicants, a like/share is enough to express this happiness. Unless you have a follow-up question to the shared "testimony", stop spamming the thread with shitty congratulations messages. I will not dignify you with a stinker response .....it is debasing ..Have a blessed day |

[ Good-afternoon everyone When my hubs and i did accessement with WES,we included our secondary school straight . All you need to do is go to your secondary school with the WES form. The principal will fill and sign.Your results from Jss to Scce will be photocopied With WEAC results. You either send it to WES or the school sends it sealed with ones reference number and name That’s how we did it and it was accepted and evaluated.. Your secondary school have your WAEC results so there is no need to go to WAEC Incase you do not want to include JSS results, you can ask for SSS 1-3 only Thank you

If you have DOB issue on educational credentials, you have to do the following when submitting your eAPR once you have your ITA. You should get historical documents to explain the error in the DOB.
*What are these historical documents?* Any Nigerian government issued IDs like old driver’s license, old voter’s card, old national ID card. Also, get your primary school testimonial showing your actual DOB. Your old secondary school documents showing your DOB. ALL THESE HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS MUST HAVE THE SAME DATE OF BIRTH WITH YOUR TRAVEL DOCUMENTS/PASSPORTS.
Use LOE and attach at least 3-5 of these historical documents.
Good luck.

jhoci: I filled the contact form and also sent a fax where I attached the documents (birth certificate, WAEC certificate, National ID card and my passport data page).
I didn't involve my school, can't go through that nightmare.
I have submitted my application with a LOE and all the documents mentioned above. You may also consider getting a letter of attestation of birth from National Population Commission |

I think should raise a CSE of statement of account showing you have enough funds to cover the loan repayment and that it is not a problem for your settlement funds. oladoyinsola: Thanks @ DonTee07
I am the primary applicant and I've even submitted the payslips just the way they were.
My POF is gift deed from both my hubby and mum which has no impact on my salary.
However, I am considering raising a CSE or just leave the application as it is.
What do you advise? |

You may try CIPM, though no relationship but it is closest for career switch. Takes about 18 to 24 months .Good luck ayusco85: I studied geology and mining, and am working in a bank as a customer service executive.. What professional course do u think I can run to increase my points. |

Having 8777 in LSRW as a single applicant with a Bsc, 3years work experience, less than 30years will not get you anywhere near 440, which seem to be the minimum threshold except you have points from siblings or other sources.
A score of 8888 and above will nudge you a little above 440
While waiting, u can get married and get your spouse to contribute points thru his/her IELTS and ECA. You may also consider going for post graduate- MBA, MSC,PGD or professional cert like CIPM, ICAN ATS, ACCA. Thes additional certs will guarantee you points in the region of 460 and above
quote author=kreamtito1 post=70085134] You have a very good chance. Start Wes and IELTS. Try to scor w7r7s7L8 and also wait and complete your work experience to 3 yrs and then apply. You will get a point from you family member in canada. But your 2.1 doesn't account. Thanks[/quote] |

I don't think their score would be up to that using Common Law partner . Except they are married. Shyee: This is the CRS link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp Meanwhile, I simulated your credentials with the info you provided and IELTS score in LSWR of 8777 for yourself and 6.5 all through for your common-law partner you had 449, which is a good one. My recommendation is: Read the first 2 pages of this thread, follow the various links you find there for more information, AND start putting stuff together. Your story may change within 6 months if you're well equipped with good information. |
