It is said that part of the money witheld is used to fund existing contract obligations.(probably signed by i-buffon) Buhari has canceled bad contracts and making efforts to adjust the existing ones that can't be cancelled immediately. That what they use money for is not totally disclosed does not mean they are being stolen. |

blueseacats: Don't know how else to explaine this to you but I found this article online please read. But the bottom line is that before Christ came we used lambs and some animals as sacrifice to clear our sins, including the Passover lamb. But Christ became the ultimate sacrifice in such a way that we need no more blood sacrifice today, even though Jews has been practicing Passover long before Christ came he still said do this in remembrance of me. ( meaning the new and ultimate lamb about to die for our sake) this gave birth to Easter . If he believes that Passover is the main thing he would not have said "do this in remembrance of me" cause that has been a tradition long before him. http://trainingleadersinternational.org/blog/210/do-this-in-remembrance-of-me-what-does-it-mean So we stopped using lambs and started using eggs abi? dnt mind them jare, they will never understand! |

I believe the easterners should wake up, come together and develop their region. just saw pics of eko Atlantic, that project does not have much federal presence in it.
how do you solve the issue quickly 1. get an igbo contractor to do it for free under one and a half years 2. let the contractor maintain it for 25 years. 3. let him collect toll at reasonable distances for that 25 years 4. after 25 years, let him hand over to govs
note, for these to be done, the states , it's people, the politicians must have forced the federal govt to agree to this deal.
I'll rather be paying 200 naira for toll than buying spare parts all the time.
abi dnt you think the driver of that collapsed truck will pay N1000 for toll than looking for people to help him lift his truck?
All these hatred and abuse will get you nowhere |
Crime › Hospital Begging For Funds Behind Our Back-conjoined Twins Parents by antispexish(op): 2:07pm On Mar 27, 2016 |
Segun and Mary Ayeni, parents of a set of conjoined twins, have raised the alarm over decisions taken by the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu State not to release the medical records of their daughters, Miracle and Testimony, and to solicit funds on behalf of the parents. The babies had been transferred to the UNTH immediately after delivery on November 16, 2015. Mary stated that two Western hospitals had indicated interest in offering their expertise to successfully separate the twins, but that the hospital had refused to cooperate. An actress, Mrs. Caroline Danjuma, who is the founder of a non-governmental organisation, Hopeville Foundation, which has since taken up the twins’ case, added that she contacted one Prof. Nene Obiayo at the hospital for the scans and she was turned down. Danjuma said, “I personally called the professor and asked ‘Why aren’t you releasing these scans to hospitals that are willing to assist?’ She asked me, ‘What do they need them for?’” But the Public Relations Officer, UNTH, Mr. Cyril Keleze, described Obiayo as an emeritus professor of paediatric surgery who was well qualified. Danjuma further stated that the hospital had been distributing its account details for individuals to donate funds. Danjuma said, “What right does a hospital have to be giving out its account number for people to pay money? It is very wrong. I had even told the mother that after sorting out the team of doctors and after their research had been completed to determine the cost, then we will create an account in the name of the children and then people would start donating into that account. “Whatever money has been donated will be made public and the remaining will be invested in the children’s education, which will also be made public. At the end of the day, the children are like a money-making industry for them (the hospital). Keleze confirmed to SUNDAY PUNCH that the N5m previously stated by the Chief Medical Officer, UNTH, Dr. Christopher Amah, in February, for the surgery had not changed and that that the hospital was soliciting for funds on behalf of the parents. The UNTH spokesperson said the hospital had made appeals and that some “well-meaning Nigerians” had indicated interest but that they had yet to make the payments promised. “The parents are aware of all this. The hospital communicated with them. They know why they (the twins) are still there. They see them being taken care of. What’s wrong with that? If people enquire on how they can help with money for the surgery, what’s wrong if the hospital releases the account number to them? But Segun said he and his wife were in the dark about decisions taken by the hospital concerning his daughters. He said, “They can’t tell me that they involved me. They won’t say that to my face. It was even someone that called me and told me about the N5m. If I knew about it, why would I deny it? www.punchng.com/hospital-begging-for-funds-behind-our-back-conjoined-twins-parents/“Are they not my children? If I had not seen the account number published in a national newspaper on February 10, I wouldn’t have believed. Is it the right of the hospital to use their own account number? I’ve never seen such a thing done in the civilised world.” |

Christianity Etc › Ye Who Follow Man Who Raided Caravans, Can't Blame Man Who Blew Up Train. by antispexish(op): 12:34pm On Mar 24, 2016 |
There are facts that a man raided caravans during his own time. The reasons He did so, the purpose or how he did so does not negate the fact that he raided caravans. These man has followers and one of them recently blew up a train in Belgium. The reasons and purpose does not negate the fact that he blew up a train.
The reason for these post is that while watching CNN yesterday , a reporter interviewed an Islam*c cleric who claimed the bomber does not follow Islam*c teachings despite the claims that the bomber is a follower of the religion. He went on to state that the religion states that he who kills an innocent person is as if he had killed the whole world(not sure of his exact words), and the people who died are innocent.
ThE problem now is, who are the innocent, and who determines if those killed are innocent or not? If those in the caravans are not innocent, it's clear that the bomber is right to bomb those in the train, cus they are also not innocent. |

eziokwubundunuwa: Obasanjo experienced steady surplus budget which led to him leaving high foreign reserve and robust economy for Yar'adua/Jonathan. Jonathan equally had moments of surplus but 2014 saw a decline in oil prices which led to deficit budget, borrowing to pay salaries and depletion of reserves to maintain currency value.
Buhari is a more prudent manager than Jonathan otherwise we could have reached anti climax of economic tsunami by now. I don't think he continued borrowing to pay salaries like Jonathan. you are right jare. did one small research and I found out that a large percentage of our infractructures, government economic programmes ,technology projects etc where either started or completed when obasanjo was head of state or president. forget his mistakes, that man is still the best all round presi we ever had. |

One Sheu Sanni, one of the senators representing Kaduna is an activist and a product of civil society who has always been at the forefront of agitation against corrupt people, he has been among those senators that have been following Saraki all about. That would tell you how deep the corruption has gone to even becloud our sense of reasoning. There will be no need for impeachment. Politics › Re: Apply Ruling On Tinubu To My Case – Saraki Tells CCT by antispexish(m): 12:10pm On Mar 19, 2016 |
I think there are some differences between tinubus case and sarakis case. Tinubu was accused of not adding something to his asset declaration form, of going against the rules by having foriegn accounts, while sarakis is accused of adding things to his forms at a time he did not have those things.
Tinubus defence was that he never had those things he was accused of not adding to his form, and the court could not prove that those accounts belong to him.
But in sarakis case, he himself had said he has those things, its the process and time at which he had them that's has created a case against him. If he wants to clarify, let him do so in court, and as a holder of public office, he should also clarify the issues before all nigerians! |

adeaks: They are not the same. It's like saying your neighbour reported a case at the police station, accusing you of stealing his black shoe. If the police invite you to their station to give a statement stating your own side of the story, in which you explained that your uncle bought you a shoe exactly like that of your neighbor and you show them the receipt as proof..........That's CLARIFY.
Imagine if the police just arrest and charge you to court without even inviting you to respond to the allegation made by your neighbour....that's TRIAL. Oh..... Ok. .........but you can Still clarify in court na. Abi that one na "defence". Wonder what you want to clarify again after writing it down many times over a period of 10 or so years. Pls my learned friend, can you tell us the similarities and differences between "admit or deny" as used by tinubu and "clarify" as used by saraki. |
