Sagamite: person you still wants me to humiliate you with you use of English?Retarddddd. OAU drop-out, see your life |
sambos994: I'll volunteerBecareful what you wish for . . . If she was "laid-able," she wouldnt be here and definitely she would be a little saner |
Sky Blue: I am still trying to understand the logic. But make no mistake, it just goes to show how complicit Nigerians are in their own suffering. They like being trampled on. How many atrocities can we name have befallen this nation under the hands of the army? And someone is calling it an "altruistic profession" by default. Funny trite. People are flogged, beaten, etc, by these "altruistic" officers out to defend their country simply because they have a gun.You think those soldiers enjoy flogging you people? You think it is fun flogging people? They do it not because it is fun, they do it because some of you guys, including you, need to be flogged real hard. |
Yoruba_Omoge: Ori e ti fokasibeYou are not Ileke-idi. |
fresh_dude: I wonder how you cope with your own stupidity. Is it because of the 'sacrifices' they make that they are free to break laws or defend those that break these laws? Isn't siding with dissidents antithetical to their so called 'sacrifices'?ABsolutely. if you are willing to pay the ultimate price for your country, you should be allowed to break as many laws as possible. Of course you wouldnt understand, you dont know what it is like to put your life on the line every single day. |
Ayoobscom: The soldiers are getting it wrong they should ban them from town..why was d colonel begging if he was not wrong?I know. He was begging because he was wrong. if he was right, he would have pumped some bullets in Fashola's chest. |
naijacloud: I just checked ur profile, it says there dat u're a complete A**hole. I'm not even sure u're nigerian. Wen u take an oath 2 serve ur nation and defend its territorial integrity and d people in it, u say its not altrustic?? Pls elighten me on wat d word actually means, professor xavier. Its people like u dat insult d police and call dem all sorts of useless names, but wen armed robbers visit u in d middle of d night,u'll start looking 4 d number of d dpo in ur localityDont mind them jare. Bunch of ingrates. Those military guys go out everyday, rain or shine, to defend us, and what do they get in return . . . public embarrassment from that out-of-shape, corrupt Fashola. God dey sha. |
Sisi_Kill: Oh just look at them!!No one is perfect. if it was that easy, why you no join the military? Bunch of ingrates! |

Ola one:Professor, take a look at this thread and make a comment. https://www.nairaland.com/993218/harassment-nigerian-female-students-needs#11473195 Am I correct with my explanation WRT when to us "a" vs "an" |
Look at the cast, there is no single Yoruba or Hausa/Fulani . . . if the rest of us do the same thing to them in politics, Ibos cry marginalization, secession, racism etc. I guess, the lesson here is that Ibos can continue to cast only their fellow Ibos in Nollywood, the rest of Nigeria, especially the Hausa/Fulani/Yoruba hegemony, will continue to cast their fellow tribesmen in politics. shikena |
I doubt a Yoruba man can be humiliated like that. In Nigeria, every one beats Ibo people Now, illiterate, uneducated Akatas are giving them the beating of their life . . . maybe it is time these cowards headed back to Isreal, their ancestral land. |
naijababe: So predictableyou got it so wrong: Ìgbín ìbá má mọ̀-ọ́ jẹ̀ ìbá ti kú síjù. Had the snail been careless in its foraging it would have died in the bush. Meaning, however disadvantaged one might be, one could still thrive if one took life easy. I hope you now have a better understanding of what I meant. The third proverb fits perfectly into the whole narrative. It has nothing to do with you. |
naijababe: Don't mind me, after all I'm not the self acclaimed genius who passed his WAEC at 14 but is still doing in my 40s what my mates have done in their 20s.Abi ooo, Ibi tí à ńlọ okuku jina, ibi ti aya ma lopoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo .A kì í dàgbà má làáyà; ibi ayé bá báni là ńjẹ ẹ́ On the other hand, Ìgbín ìbá má mọ̀-ọ́ jẹ̀ ìbá ti kú síjù. |
Sagamite: person!Dont forget that I am now an American, we are allowed to put "a" before a word starting with a vowel. ![]() On a more serious note, since you arent as educated as I am, I dont mind teaching you one or two things as part of my corporate responsibility. It is true that according to the rules “a” should come before words that begin with consonants (e.g., b, c ,d) while “an” should be before words that begin with vowels (e.g., a,e,i). Listen carefully now: the usage is determined by the pronunciation and not by the spelling, as many a retardeddd student wrongly assume. Dont be ashamed, I understand that English is not your first language, therefore, grammatically, you say “an hour” because hour begins with a vowel sound and “a history” because history begins with a consonant sound. Similarly you could say “a intimate” even if intimate begins with a “i.” That is because the pronunciation sometimes , depending on the speaker and accent ( e.g NY accent), begins with “nt”, which is a consonant sound. So my friend from across the pond, a product of a failed education system, always follow your ear: if the word starts with a vowel sound, use AN. If it starts with a consonant sound, use A. Emphasis on sound. The English language is a very dynamic language which doesnt always lend itself well to rigid rules. ![]() |
