My 13 year old Niece came to my place for the last Christmas and slim fit all the turkey meat she fried by herself. At first, i never interfered with her cooking because she knows how. I just wondered why she had to do that when she could have eaten to her satisfaction without me even noticing. It was when my friends came around i noticed adjustment has been made to the meat as i actually saw their sizes. So i think it's a stage thing that must be handled with care before it generates into something else. She felt so sorry when i confronted her and she apologized

Health / Re: Why COVID-19 Patients Play, Dance In Isolation Centres — NCDC Reveals by Anuoluwapo3054(m): 2:30pm On May 22, 2020
I like your sense of reasoning and may you never die. Right here on nairaland some mofos and irresponsible people have attacked me that Covid19 is not real. As you rightly said, if the government could show these people the videos of those in critical conditions, maybe they will belive.
seunlayi:
Actually, those with better sense of reasoning already understood what is going on in that isolation ward. They need it especially those with less severe symptoms to keep fit, better morale, kill boredom, ETC. I am sure the day Ncdc decides to show those in critical condition, many will be amazed. Nine patients died yesterday and I am sure many others are in critical condition. But those misleading people won't see/say something about this.

Thanks mod for accepting to put this on FP to balance the report

You have a good point o... But let me also remind you that Lagosians are not helping matters. All directives put in place are not being observed and instead of them to keep to this simple instruction on social distancing, they resolved to emotional blackmail that the rules are strict on them as commercial motorists and market women and men. I have an health worker with me who happens to be one of these covid19 doctors at Yaba, when she start to narrate the pains that the affected people passes through and how they died, you don't need anyone to tell you to maintain social distancing or even stay at home. The lockdown affects all classes, but one way or the other we learn to survive through it. Waiting for palliative from the government is just like waiting for Ronaldo to come back to Real Madrid because it won't happen. I expect that our local churches/Mosque should stepped in as it is obvious that the government has let us down but unfortunately we aren't getting any their support or maybe a little. When there is life, we have hope that we will bounce back no matter what... It is better than exposing ourselves to be a deadly disease and die untimely.
ReubenE:
They should not try another lock down

You can't lock down people from surviving especially when you don't do anything differently to salvage the situation.

During the six weeks lock down, they never tested people more than the way they are testing people now.
They lock down then go home and sit down like the rest of us with the hope that magic happens.

Please leave Lagos alone

Somebody cannot possibly survive with the fear of corona virus and the fear of losing his job

As much as I don't support the demolition... You need to know that some people are so stubborn. In Lagos for instance, they defile all the directives given to them and they started going out... Now look at what we have brought upon ourselves. Some Nigerians love it the hard way I must say

I went to market today and realized that many people aren't bothered about this covid 19, many buyers and sellers without face mask.

No form of social distancing maintained.

Romance / Re: I Have Feelings For Her But She's Engaged by Anuoluwapo3054(m): 12:41pm On May 09, 2020
I will advice you from experience. Run!!
I had similar issue with a lady 2 years ago, having told me frankly she was engaged when I approached her and afterwards she started getting closer. Fast forward, I kept my distance because I don't ever want to be a clog in the wheel of another person's relationship. So it happened that she had a misunderstanding with her guy and they gave each other space. In the process, ran back to me since since I'd approached her before. We started hanging out on a friendship level and at the point when the whole thing was getting on well, she went back to her former relationship and left me heartbroken. Thank God I wasn't rushed things too because I felt somehow about the whole thing. If u think because she's giving you attention connotes that she is interested in you, it's a trap! Look elsewhere for your lady
Ndeoma:
Their is this lady I have come to develop feelings for. She is a graduate and intending to go for service before November... it's just this pandemic
that is delaying things. She is also a member of my church and serving in one of the service units. I have been observing her for a while and in the course of time grew feelings for her.

I took courage and approached her and she told me she is engaged to be married this December but the problem is that after that our chat she has been tailing me. She always comes around me to sit close to me during service meetings. Some times she'd be starring so much at me that you'd wonder. I'm beginning to think wether she actually told me the truth about her relationship status earlier or she is just trying to hold on to me as alternative just incase here marriage plans with the other guy goes south.

Please friends I need your sincere advice on what to do as am confused. I really love the lady and would like to marry her.

Rushed out of my house at midnight to rescue her when her house was being attacked by some hoodlums. I got there with nothing and I was able to find my way to her apartment they got to her flat... She dumped me for one of those "I just got back" last December. Mo ya look away and now they have broken up....
Jackossky:
Is there anything you have done because of love which you regret anytime you remember?

Hmmm, I can remember a friend of mine that helped his new girlfriend to write an exam, this my friend (Let me call him A) is a scholar on a good day, this babe begged him to write an exam because she has failed that same exam back to back, she couldn't afford another failure. My guy being the Samaritan he is agreed but with the promise of entering the promise land after all said and done.

We the friends gingered him and some advised against it.

To cut the story short, he was caught and saved by a hair's breadth, the said girl reneged on her promise and threaten to 'finish' my guy if he make any advance towards her.

Come see how she was loyal prior the exam, this made my friend never to try such and anytime he remembers, he always seem like crying. We do taunt him till today and to cap it all, he had to pay his way out with his own money.

good..big thumbs up to the f.g for breaking tinz down but i dont still feel convinced dt relaxing the lockdown is a good measure in tackling this pandemic bt it seems thier hands are tied..people are hungry and the economy isnt encouraging and besides no matter how much they borrow they still lack th accurate data base to gv paliatives or stipends to people dt needs cash(forget that north tinz they are doing)..right now they are in the middle inbetween the devil and the blue see bt i think going by thier way they are hugging and kissing d devil going by the report we heard from ghana earlier dis morning...forget those sets of rules abeg..na for the overpopulated areas of oshodi, mile2, ikorodu, mushin etc dm wan they observe social distancing abi na the lagosians wey we all know say no well them go hear say mk dm go bk home because them get high temperature...no go even talk abt the 8-6 curvew bcoz na police go gain am pass because the crowd and holdup no go funny, mayb na for que olopa go de collect thier tips...na jus GOD grace i go pray for next week because lagos already have the highest infected cases n going bg the way of the virus those infected have already infected others unknowingly who are yet to start seeing symptoms...i jus pray that GOD have his way because the effect dt m seeing scientifically n medically would not be nice...hear dis morning that they is not enough bed spaces for people due to the limited resources, if after the lockdown the virus gets to the next wave, it would mean dt bed space would go for the highest bidder knocking off the poor n become the survival of the fittest financially...said much more dan i planned saying...HAPPY NEW MONTH NAIRALANDERS.

The compliance level is very low and that's because Govt are clueless...it was tight on the first 5 days of the lockdown, but afterwards the whole thing was messed up. Even those who do not belong to the essential category like food sellers and health workers were seen displaying wares at the market.... When you asked, they'll resolved to emotional blackmail on how the government has neglected them.... But my question is before now, have the government cater for them in any way?? Na we dey do ourselves

Eddygourdo:
Happiness in life is not dependent on how much you make, but how much problems you face.

You might make 50k and all ur problems are worth 20k, while someone else might make 100k and all his problems are worth 95k. Who exactly has it best in life? That's higher earner? I doubt that.

Work hard, love alot, try to be happy and merry with the little your hard work gives you. Because death is always knocking and soonest it could be time for the door to open.

What does it profit a man to save all an invest all, suffering himself in the process only to use the money to treat and manage an ailment which will eventually kill him anyway.

In a situation like this you don't really have to verbally tell her your feelings because some girls like playing hard to get even if they like you and if that happens your friendship might be ruin.

This is a situation you apply game of mind, be smart and let everything fall in place you can achieve that by acting like her bf already be confident in doing that, invite her to your crib or hang out with her and while doing that' do it like a boss be in control of everything, with this tips if you play your game very well she wouldn't know when a relationship with you has started.
