Cubeet: shut up!! Bribery and Corruption is everywhere in the worldTypical ill-mannered Nigerian child of a diseased vag*in*a asking me to 'shut up'.. If you don't know what to say do urself a favor, bathe in warm bleach, pleasure urself wv Aboniki balm and go hug a transformer. Eediat |
emk4lif: It is indeed terrible, not just in ghana too..a lot of my friends are studying in second rate mushroom colleges in benin republic, togo, ukraine, bulgaria and obscure carribean islands.....people are so desperate for a degree certificate they'll even go to somalia if possible to acquire oneIt's better than getting 280 in jamb and 260 in postUME and still failing to get admission because some idiots with half your scores knows people and has the money to bribe their way into universities. |
Really brave.. But seriously? |
AT least she did hers well |
The man doesn't look remotely near 40 years old let alone 45,, |
baralatie: what is before the court is divorce and custody case?Thtz wht iv bn trying to let, [dinachi] understand- she doesn't want to sink the man (altho ryt nw, thtz debatable cz his reputation is done for), all she wants is a divorce and God willing she will get it.. |
dinachi: My friend, where is the evidence of domestic violence? Which kind of judgement is carried out without the accused defending himself? where are the witnesses? where is the photo evidence? where is Dino's own testimony?Evidence? In a situation like this the testimony of even one of the children n neighbors should be enough to convict but if you read my post (ASSUMING YOU ARE NOT A CHILD), you would have seen that I said Nigeria has no actual law against domestic violence offenders and I went on to say that the woman in question isn't looking to put the man in jail BECAUSE SHE CAN'T so her best option was divorce and she is in prime position to get it seeing as she is the applicant and not just wife but mother and she has ample reason considering the man's absence (seeing that he's an 'active' activist and the domestic violence allegations. |
berem: This is family matter. They should settle things amicably.Arguments n quarrels r family matters. Domestic violence IS A CRIME and should see the man doing jail time. It's a pity tht Nigeria doesn't have any laws that punish domestic violence offenders.. The lady did the right thing to protect herself and her children by applying for divorce. Itz up to the judge to see it this way n approve the divorce. |
So instead of doing a pregnancy test, u decide to ask a bunch of online strangers if you are pregnant?? Smh.. |
Justice must prevail.. I dunno why police personnel should be wielding a rifle in the midst of civilians with the safety off and his finger on the trigger.. I dunno why a hospital would choose not to treat a bullet wound victim before a police report (what happened to the Hippocratic oath they all swore to uphold?). Even if the person is a criminal who made health workers judge, jury, and executioner? I dunno why businesses would be running their operations with no hope of consistent electricity and have to buy diesel every other week. I dunno why justice almost never prevails in this country except through Providence or Karma. I dunno why personal security is now an elite luxury enjoyed only by politicians n those with large bank accounts. I dunno how my nation got to a place where we're the laughing stock n object of scorn to almost every nation on earth. I dunno where rock bottom for this country Nigeria is or when we will get there because it seems we fall a little more every day. What would you do if Donbraye was your best friend, husband, son, sibling or father? When will enough really be enough in this country Nigeria? |
@okija_juju U made some interesting points.. We've really had our minds and courage sliced and diced in this country.. How can we change.. What's the step to take and in what direction.. Ppl r thirsty for a complete overhaul of the system of things in this country..? |
Nne cool down.. You just said we should demand not just passively on the internet, then turn around and want their facebook page.. ![]() In the 36 states of the federation, a shitload of Dombrayes are gonna die today from this same type of matter.. but in a crowd of 160 million people of different tribes, religion, tongues, e.t.c the loss of 1 or 2 is lost on us all.. I no longer bother with threads like this anymore because it only ends up as just another suggestion box with Nigerians venting, vibrating, demanding revolution, blah blah.. In the end, nothing would ever happen.. As far as Nairaland goes, this thread is only relevant for as long as it stays within the first 15 news on the frontpage. In 2 days time, it would have been forgotten. The dead should go bury their dead.. Like I told a friend last night, I have come to the bitter acceptance that we Nigerians and Africans have been throughly mindfucked and thats the reason for our present condition.. If this were Yankee, one jobless neighbour of the deceased would be on all the News Channels making a ruckus.. The news channels would have this as Breaking news on their bars. analysts would be called in, news vans would be at the guys home and office, relatives would be granting interviews, the Police officer first for don lose ehn job or dey suspension awaiting the outcome of the investigation, Police chiefs would be under the spotlight, News Channels would dedicate a team to this matter from start till finish.. . EXAMPLE: George Zimmerman shooting. In Nigeria, NTA no get time, if you are lucky, Channels would place it on their news bar. Thats all.. Donbraye my brother.. Your clock don stop, your journey of life ends here.. Rest in peace brother..
Noted |
talktimi: If you try using the butt of an ak 47 (which is a standard jtf weapon) to hit someone's head, an accidental discharge would send the bullet straight up or at an angle way higher than the stomach. This man was murdered in cold blood pure and simple, an accidental discharge claim would only give the offending officer a pat on the wrist as punishment. That aside, hospitals need to start attending to gun shot victims first before police report even if it means hand cuffing the victim to the bed or getting police security for said victim. You just said what's been on my mind since yesterday.. This was murder pure and simple.. |
And thanks to the mods for editing the header properly.. God bless! JUSTICE FOR DONBRAYE |
delishpot: Una don carry come? So his wife did not pray enough or you holly pass? So if one looses a child or a loved one its cos they did not listen to God on how to concieve or make friends or marry or if a child loosea a parent its cos that child did not ask God before comming to the world for a long living parent? Hian ..... oh, God have mercy. |

Hian ..... oh, God have mercy.Leaders will not change until the people demand change.. Look at America, they would still be a British Colony if the people didn't rise up and demand better lives for themselves.. We need to rise up.. It's now or never.. Let's come together to demand better for ourselves.. Tomorrow, it might be another family that suffers such. We need this to end now..! |
This shouldn't happen anymore in this country.. We need to take a stand by demanding better, not just passively n in Internet forums where we are anonymous but in our everyday lives. Demand better electricity Demand a better judiciary Demand better health care Demand better roads Demand better education Demand better careers Demand better telecoms.. And if/when our demands are not met then we need to drive the matter home forcefully.. Personally I feel we need to follow this matter closely.. I dunno their contacts but if anyone does, we shouldn't allow this matter end in this thread.. Does the Nigerian police have a twitter or Facebook account? Is it active? We need to bombard their accounts with this matter.. Donbraye's blood will not be silent until his family gets justice.. |
Really heart breaking.. :-( |
aanumama: Honey, and u think that will happen in our present day nigeriaI pray the family fights hard for justice.. We can also help them by putting the story out there n demanding justice.. |
Justice must be served.. This is just too painful and for how much? The Force must produce those officers, convict them, and pay a substantial settlement to the man's widow.. |
This is how this young man died..please read. Some of his colleagues went to buy diesel for the office generator.(Lunberg Services Ltd behind Coca Cola in Port harcourt Trans Amadi). and as they were bringing the diesel jerry cans into the office premises,Some JTF police men trailed them from the filling station t into the office premises. JTF policemen began harassing the guys who bought the diesel in Jerry cans. Donbraye Akangbou one of the high ranking employees on site came out of the office to mediate on the issue at hand. After he tried to explain to the officers for 30mins without luck... One of the police officers got impatient because he thought they were not going to grease his palms with money. He wanted to use the head of his gun to hit one of the employees, instead the gun went off and short Donbraye in the stomach at close range... All his intestines came out... They rushed him to BMH A & E, and as usual the hospital delayed to treat him because it was a gun shot wound and they needed a police report... Donbraye died an hour later. He got married in June 2013 and his wife is three months pregnant. I thought she was Nokia Lumia's ambassador.. What's with the iPhone? |
BS |
devigblegble: A blessed country but wicked and heartless politicians. I still believe in a better tomorrow for 9jaTrue, but let me rephrase what Madiba said, "you will always get corrupt leaders from a corrupt people" What we need to start the process of gradually coming out of the rut we are in is sound, principled education from kindergarten to graduate school.. |
Compressing data?! You know who else compresses Web page data? Opera Mini, Opera 4 desktop.. Browsers do so, some more than others Opera does a better job.. BlackBerry / RIM DOES NOT compress data for anyone.. Their servers run protocols to support their email service and push notification service for BBM and their encryption keeps it within BB devices.. So please OP, whatever NCC or the naija telecoms paid you to create good publicity for them, just keep the money and tell them you tried your best and don't forget to ask them to let you come out for air because your head is way up in their rectum.. Hv a nice week.. |
sexychocho: Wicked WorldA truly wicked world.. Never underestimate the power of demand and supply.. So sad.. And a pastor was in the group.. I think I'm gonna go throw up now.. |
Ignorance is a real disease.. Case in point : JulianBond007.. |

ochon: LOL. I find it appalling, that she compared eve to EM. Dafuq?!!Lol! I'm nt violent if not I'd have smacked her teeth out for such blasphemy.. No offense to her ofcrz, ignorance is bliss.. |
JulianBond007: Dude, there's nothing like heresay. I have been a lover of rap music far back in the 90's. The blacks introduced rap music and there's no way a white folk will be a rap god. It's HERESY.. Pls pick up a dictionary once in a while.. Itz this lack of vocabulary that a black hood, gang banging, mutthead can't dethrone Eminem.. |
