PoliticsFayose Explodes: Presidential Contest A Do-or-die Affair, Advocates Use Of Army by apoti(op): 8:04am On Jan 03, 2015
An inaugural meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Southwest was held in Akure on Saturday with the objective of outlining a strategy for winning the 2015 elections in the area, with Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose reiterating the party’s old mantra that the presidential contest is a “do or die” affair.

The returnee-governor said the party must be prepared to use its control of the army and the police, which it currently controls, to ensure victory for President Goodluck Jonathan at next month’s polls.

The meeting was organized by the PDP South-West co-ordinator, Gov. Olusegun Mimiko, who shared the high table with Senitor Iyiola Omisore, Mr. Kolapo Ogunjobi, Senator Musilu Obanikoro, Governor Ayo Fayose and various leaders from the zone.

Governor Fayose underlined that the presidential election was critical, advising that the party should forget about governorship elections and concentrate on the presidential contest. According to him, once President Jonathan was re-elected, everything else would fall into place and the party could declare the governorship candidates of PDP in various States as it likes.

The purpose of the post is not present one religion as better than the other or vice versa. It is to open the eyes of the religious bigots and those being being deceived that good leadership has nothing to do with religion
PoliticsList Of Nigerian Leaders And Thier Religion Since 1963 by apoti(op):
These are sacred facts and figures that invalidate and trump any ethno-religious propaganda. Don't let anybody lie to you or fool you that Nigeria has been ruled majorly by northern muslims

Below is a list of civilian and military leaders of Nigeria since 1st of October 1963 when Nigeria became a republic

Nnamdi Azikwe (Christian) - 2 years 3 months
Tafawa Balewa - Nigeria's first and only prime minister (Muslim) - 2 years 3months
Aguiyi Ironsi (Christian) - 6 Months
Yakubu Gowon (Christian) - 8 years
Murtala Muhammed (Muslim) - 6 Months
Olusegun Obasanjo (Christian) - 3 Years
Shehu Shagari (Muslim) - 4 Years 2 Months
Muhammadu Buhari (Muslim) - 1 year 6 month
Ibrahim Babangida (Muslim) - 8 years
Chief Ernest Shonekan (Christian) - 3 months
Sani Abacha (Muslim) - 4 Years 7 Months
Olusegun Obasanjo (Chirstian) - 8 years
Umar Musa Yar'Adua (Muslim) - 2 years Active
Goodluck Jonathan (Christian) - 1 year Acting, 2 Years Substantive and 4 years substantive by 2015….totaling 6 years.

Total Years of Muslim Leadership since the first republic: 24 years 6 Months

Total Years of Christian Leadership since the first republic: 26 years 9 months.

Since this was a combination of both Military and civilian leadership, it will be important to State that the highest law making body in the land, the Senate has been solely led by Christian Senate presidents since inception. The list of the Senate presidents since 1960 is presented below:

Nnamdi Azikiwe 1960 - 1960 (Christian)
Dennis Osadebay 1960 - 1963 (Christian)
Nwafor Orizu 1963–1966 (Christian)
Joseph Wayas 1979–1983 (Christian)
Iyorchia Ayu 1992–1993 (Christian)
Ameh Ebute 1993 - 1993 (Christian)
Evan Enwerem 1999 - 1999 (Christian)
Chuba Okadigbo 1999–2000 (Christian)
Anyim Pius Anyim 2000–2003 (Christian)
Adolphus Wabara 2003–2005 (Christian)
Ken Nnamani 2005–2007 (Christian)
David Mark 2007 - Incumbent (Christian)

There has been no Senate president of Muslim extraction.

Sharia was introduced in Nigeria under the Federal leadership of Obasanjo, a Christian President by "mostly" PDP governors who are still members and sponsors of the PDP till date.

It was General Ibrahim Babangida that signed Nigeria into the Organization of Islamic Countries, so why the persistent lies and propaganda against Gen. Buhari.

It should be as clear as night and day that there is nothing like an ethno-religious agenda anywhere whatsoever. All the propagandas are products of intellectually deficient and delinquent politicians who cannot decently esteem the votes of the electorates.

Those playing the Ethno-Religious card purely for power grabbing objective do not have an inkling of what they are doing at all. Fire does not burn only those who start it, it destroys everything in its pathway.

Nigerians should not be too lazy to simply access available information in order to clear their doubts, misconceptions and erroneous beliefs. This is the very reason clerics on both religious sides will continue to exploit their followers who will rather believe their heresies, personal agendas and invented rules as sacred, than what is explicitly written in their respective holy books.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Arsenal Signs Danny Welbeck for £16m by apoti(op): 10:20pm On Sep 01, 2014
Arsenal have agreed a £16m fee with Manchester United for England international striker Danny Welbeck.
Welbeck has been told by United he can leave given the impending arrival of Radamel Falcao on loan from Monaco.
https://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/77315000/jpg/_77315179_danny_welbeck_pa_body.jpg

The 23-year-old has been given permission to leave England's hotel in Watford to have a medical with Arsenal before discussing personal terms.
Welbeck joined United's academy at the age of eight and has scored 29 goals in 142 first-team appearances.
He also played 28 times during a loan spell with Sunderland, and made a further eight appearances for Preston.

The Black Cats were keen to re-sign Welbeck, a Premier League winner in 2013, while Tottenham were also interested.

But he is now set to join Arsenal, who are without striker Olivier Giroud for up to four months after he broke a leg.

More than 21,000 votes were cast for best Barclays Premier League XI of the calendar year

After nine days of voting, the Premierleague.com Users' Team of the Year for 2013 has been selected and the poll has drawn together an intriguing best XI.
From Christmas Eve until New Year's Day visitors to the website have been casting their votes on who they believe to have been the most impressive performers of the calendar year just passed.
The criteria for selection was that all candidates must have played or managed in the Barclays Premier League throughout 2013, thereby ruling out the likes of Gareth Bale (who was sold by Tottenham Hotspur in the summer), Sir Alex Ferguson (who retired in May), and Dejan Lovren, who signed for Southampton in June.

By using the poll section on our website's homepage players were chosen in the positions of goalkeeper, right-back, left-back, two centre-backs, four midfielders, two strikers and manager. and today we can reveal the team that was selected by more than 21,000 votes.
Everton are the most heavily represented Barclays Premier League club, with four Blues defenders included among the back five, while the peerless 82 points Arsenal amassed during 2013 meant that two players from the North London side made the grade, in addition to their manager Arsene Wenger.

There were also two players selected from both Manchester City – Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero – and Liverpool – Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez – and one from the 2012/13 Barclays Premier League champions, Manchester United – Michael Carrick.

OP you said all these started after your wife gave birth about a month ago, that means she wasn't like that before.

Your wife is probably trying to adapt to the pressures of taking care of the baby, sleepless nights, maybe sore nipples from breastfeeding and she might still be feeling pains as a result of the delivery.

What she needs from you is full support, care and encouragement. And the fact that you live in another city means you are not there for her all the time, so do what you can for her whilst you are around

Chillisauce: For the girls, make sure you bathe them yourself, after three yrs, teach her to wash her private part herself. NO ONE should touch her or wash her there, even you!
Do same for the boys. As from three yrs they should be in charge of their organs.

Report to you any abuse. Bonding with your kids matter a lot
I couldn't have said it any better. Teach your kids especially the girls that the private part is strictly private. NOBODY is allowed to touch it and they should report any attempt made by anyone to do so.

I can forsee loads of insults fron GEJ azzlickers on this thread grin

Now to my question. I've always supported APC from day one. But to be honest I'm getting a worried about how the mass defection from PDP who are corrupt by nature. Also visits to IBB, OBJ and others who are obviously part of Nigeria's problems is worrisome.
Won't these moves compromise the APC's ideologies and show that the party is desperate for power at all cost
