Demmocrats:Na u b d first to talk sense jare! The rest just shouting and wailing as if the heavens will fall. Just go and dig up the dubious nature of JP Morgan, and you will understand why many dont give a dime about them. Come to think of it; with all the monies we have been borrowing, what have we achieved? Nothing! The same people borrowing money, feigning to be ur friend, are the ones still sabotaging all your efforts to succeed as a nations. The more we continue to rely and trust in these Satanists control financial bodies, we will never be able to get to the borders of the promise land, let alone entering in. I truely feel sorry for anyone who seriously think these guys will fold their hands and watch a nation like Nigeria rise, dominate and take over their places in Africa. I just dey laf. These are nodies which hide behind the curtains of financial fair play and justice, but in reality, they are just political tools use to witch-hunt, sabotage and smear the image and economic well being of blacklisted nations. They are far from what they appear to be. Just reflect on what they did to Russia in the wake of the Ukrainian crisis, following western sanctions, that should clear ur mind on the matter that they are tools in the hands of the elites. Honestly, we should try to think of other means of meeting our credit issues aside these hawks of Satan. |
lygn19:So much sense as an early commentator. I am fed with these bunch of jobless, secessionist niconpoops sticking out their serpentine tongues accross the wavelenghts of NL. I am tired of seeing such threads by bunch of clowns with balless libidos, shouting 'war, war'; but when they hear the sound of a busted car exhaust, they will shout "blood of Jesus", with their hearts running beats of 360 degrees per second! Rubbish! |
OrIandoOwoh:You reason in panic. You dont even know anything about the SS. Do you realy think the Ijaws for example would hang along with the igbos in matters of secession? Una just dey make me dey laf. If it should come to that, the Ijaws and majority of the SS would prefer to be on their own. And dont forget that a large percent of the casualty recorded by the Nigerian side was at Asaba, and it was due to the betrayal of Multala and his men by the Asaba people, which resulted in the death of huge numbers of Nigerian soldiers. Then the multala revenge that follows led to the massacre of Asaba male folks, a situation responsible for the shortfalls in figures on indigenous males for Asaba till date. Now, in the real sense, there is not going to be anything war again in Nigeria. If there is going to be any secession in this country, is going to happen on a much cooler scale than we think. I dont see much blood being shed like in the 70s; this is because Nigerians have evolved over the years, we easily adjust to any situation, of whatever kind or degree. Dont mind these miscreants running around the internet with 10 megabytes, shouting like they got balls of steel, whereas, they cant even stand up to armed robbers, let alone engage in massive warfare. Nnamdi kanu maybe the head of a movement, but the truth is, his interest doesn't reflect or aggregate the interst of the majority of Igbos. I tell u, if some Igbos have their way, they will hang that man. The reason is because, many of such know that the North, the West, the East or South isn't the enemy. The real enemy are the political and economic elites. The Leaders! The free looting, thieving, and greedy cabals at all levels; be it in the Northl South, East Or West, is the same story of maginalization and under development everywhere. And one other thing u must not overlook, is the possibility that there are some people paid by some wicked element (both foreign and Local) to go online spreading hate and secessionism. It has always be a method of divide and conquer, which i must agree is effective in yielding results, subject to the ideological spirit prevailing in the target environment. Is just not a reflection of the will of those people in entirety. But since Nigerians easily adjust to any situational way of life, we shall soon get use to this warmongering, and the cries and echoes of the likes of Biafra, SS republic etc, will fall on filtering ears. Reasons-- Because it does not Aggregate or Reflect the political and economical interest of majority of the people. |

OLAADEGBU:Amen! And bless you too! |
What else do you expect when government that is suppose to be an agent of God have unfortunately become an agent of the Devil long ago? With laws like gay rights, abortion legalized, etc, what moral right is there left for the church to win souls? A church that shuns services and prefer to televise world cup matches because the country is playing, how can such church go about the business of evangelism when it doesn't even regards it services to God? And come to think of it: what moral right does a religious bigot and murderer like Cameron have in calling for a revival in evangelical and healing power of the church, when people like him are those encouraging the demise of christianity in the develop world? Islam is making gain in the UK becos they are true and sincere to themselves and whatever course they chose; unlike bigots and traitors like Cameron. Not to mention that the churches have gone to sleep, while modern man with his bunch of rights as a free moral agent, has embark on a delusive journey tagged " self discovery and exploration," a journey that leads him nowhere! |
If you wish for peace, prepare for war! Those who wants to serve God must be ready the great test and temptations ahead. Satan will never allow you to have your salvation on a platter of gold. You will definitly be tested and tried; and how you stand will determine the level of your faith in Christ. I thank God for His grace upon these ones and the few that have refuse to go crazy with the rest of America, though they lose their works or are intimidated, they shall in no wise lose their reward. Rom.2vs6, Exod.19vs5, Heb.10vs23. |
Gambling is a sin, pls repent. |
Mary did not appear anywhere! So-called Mary is a demon decieving people with appearance here and there. We know her to be fake because Mary had no Biblical role to play in the scheme of things nor in event pertaining to the end time! Just another enticing and seducing spirit decieving and operating an unsuspecting church. So-called holy mary decieving people since Eons! |
nobilis:Thank God you know that. The concept of free will at play. Now he was fast enough to destroy the world in a flood because of sin but has decided to allow sin to continue to be in the world. You atheists never cease to amuse me. When you find it hard to stay out of sin, the easiest way out is to put the blame on God. And this has gone along way to cloud your judgement, derail ur thoughts and misconstrue your perception. Ask yourself; What is Sin? What is it that amounts to Sin? Take that as an assignment, come back and tell me later. Once u have understood the nature of Sin and Sin itself, then you will understand why Sin was not the creation of God, why God have to destroy the first world as a result of sin, and most importantly, how and why Sin still persist till date in this present world. I shall be waiting! On Adam, you are dead wrong, and it appears you don't even know a jot about Him,nor the position he had with Amighty God! Adam was created in the image and likeness of God (Gen.1vs26); and when the fall came in the garden, he lost his original estate with God as he fulfeited his right and the title deed of the world unto Satan, and consequently driven from the garden. But he never completely lost touch with God, neither did God forgot about him. Rather the contrary. God was fully concerned with the happenings in Adam's life. In fact, there is evidence that God did indeed continue His relationship with Adam and his progeny. For example, the birth of Adam's sons- record of the events between Cain and Abel; God spoke with Cain, the birth of Seth, then Enos after which men started to CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD. These are certainly an indication that there was indeed a relationship (foster by a sense of reconciliation that was now in progress) between God and man even after Adam sinned (what a powerful love of God).:' Regarding Sin, God never forsook Adam and his progeny (s) thereafter, as his/their Sins where continually taken care of by the blood of animals (reconciliation in process). In the garden after the fall, God clothed them with animal skin; where did He get it? He vanished it from thin air? No! He probably 'killed' an animal. Adam was never neglected. Have you ever considered why Adam was not cursed 'directly'? Eve was cursed directly, and till date, the effect of that curse is very evident in her conception. The serpent nature today is evident of same direct curse. But when it came to Adam, the story was totally different . It was the earth that was cursed for his sake. Thorns and thirstles were to spring forth from the ground to make his work for food hard. He was to eat of the herbs of the field (as if it wasn't the same herbs that he was meant to eat in Gen.1 vs 29-30 ), And he is to return to the dust where he came from (as if that was the original nature of the man. Eccl.12vs7)![]() Adam was only cursed 'indirectly', he never was cursed directly. Why? Simple: he was the son of God (Luke 3vs38). And God can not lose His own (John 6 vs 37). The full process of reconciliation and forgiveness was completed in Christ. Romans 5vs10, 2Cor.5vs18-20. But as man is still endue with his will in the dictate of his free moral agency, he is at liberty to decide. By one man's sin, death came, and by one man's death though with unsinful nature, life came-reconciliation perfected. So, if you feel you are still a condemned, unforgiven sinner, then that is what you chose to be by the dictates of your own will; not God's. 1 Tim.2vs4, 2Peter 3vs9. So get ur acts together and embrace Christ. And the reason he couldn't destroy sin, even as he destroyed the world with flood is just so that he can wait to see if any of his creatures will sin and then when they sin, he will also destroy them like he destroyed those people that perished in the flood. like i said, you are still understanding 'Sin'. You will need to improve on that, only then can you understand the role of His son in the whole show.Honestly, sometimes I wonder if God is as daft as you guys portray him to be.Nobody here is projecting God as being daft, other than you and ur likes. And remember, we all shall give account of every idle and blasphemous word we use and say. Yes! God's love is unconditional, and you did nothing to merit it. But why is it unconditional? God's love is unconditional because God don't give a dime about who you are or were, what you have done, or what you think--He chose to find you out by himself-"for while we are yet sinners, Christ died for Us". Reconciliation was God reconciling man to Himself, not man reconciling with him. All because God is love. Few people nowadays understand what true love is, nor can they comprehend the unconditional love of God which sent Jesus to Calvary to die for our sins. God's love is UNCONDITIONAL, i.e., it matters not who you are, nor what you have done-God still loves you! God doesn't love us for who we are; but rather, because of WHO HE IS! Likewise, we ought to love others because of who WE ARE; and not because of who they are, nor what they do, nor what they think. God's love is unconditional. I love even my enemies, because of the love of God shed abroad in my heart. Romans 5:5, “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Your understanding of Unconditional love entails that since God is too loving, He can not punish you nor reprimand you for any wrong of commision or omission, even when you have come to understand the concept of grace vis the notion of good and evil. If that should be the case, then that will make God a lawless being: therefore an unruly God. But i thank God it isn't so. God's uncomditional love meant He has called you (and still calling) into the kingdom of His dear Son, who is the way, the truth, and the life, to walk therein and live; not to continue in your formal lust or Sin and die again. Just reconsider your hypothesis of a mother and child; the mother love the child no matter what, but that same mother will not hesitate to spank the child when he goes wrong. Why would he spank the child? Because there are RULES that must not be broken. Watch that same mother lashes out at that child when such laws are broken. Now, as the child grows (this is where time factor comes in to play) to that stage where he can exercise his will as a free moral agent, he becomes independent and self imposing; i.e, whether to conduct his ways after the pattern and nature of living taught by and learnt under the mother, or simply act and live according to his own preference and what seemed good in his eyes. And if it happens that such child chose the second way, and at the end landed in prison, dies, etc, would the mother be held responsible? Will her unconditional love be counted for vain? No! For her unconditional love was to save the child by showing her a better path to walk in, even when the child was rebellious, in prison, in sick bed, she was there for him, helping him, ministering to him, defending him, etc; until he finaly decided his fate. So also is God. He chastises those that He love (Heb 12vs6, Pro.3vs12). His own law demanded punishment, yet out of love, he made a way of escape; and its only who will follow that path that shall find peace. Shall we continue in Sin that grace (love) may abound? And the Bible said " God forbid". Only a fool would risk their eternal destiny on the assumption that God would never cast anyone into hellfire. Just look at the suffering in the world today because of sin. Do you think eternity will be any different for those who die in their sins? Oh, listen my friend, please obey the Gospel so you don't end up in Hell. God Hates as Much as He Loves Although God loves all mankind; God also equally hates sin. God has an unconditional hatred for sin. It matters not how kind, generous and loving you may be-you will be cast into hellfire on Judgment Day if you refuse to obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the Bible commands (Revelation 20:11-15). The Beatles sang their hit song, LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED. That is false. All the love in the world won't keep you out of Hell if you die in your sins. You had better get born-again and then you can one day die in the Lord and go to Heaven. “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them” (Revelation 14:13). Every person will one day either die IN THEIR SINS, or else they will DIE IN THE LORD.God is a holy God, a morally perfect God who is incapable of doing wrong. God is a good God, whose holiness demands justice. As such, sinful men must be punished for violating God's holy Law. This is why we read in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death...” Mankind is inherently sinful and deserves to be punished in Hell. Adam brought sin and death into the world by his own sin (Romans 5:12). We are all sinners, incapable of pleasing God in our own self-righteousness (Romans 3:10-23; Isaiah 64:6; Ephesians 2:8,9). Thankfully, God sent His only begotten Son into the world (John 3:16) to pay for our sins with His own blood (1st Peter 1:18,19; Acts 20:28). Jesus came into the world in the flesh, i.e., the Godhead became incarnate (John 1:1-3,14; 1st Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:9). God did this because He loves us . . . There is a time set when every thing will be winded up. So don't think God is slack or unable to deal with sin. There is time for everything. God works with time. You guys use human justice systems to "analogise"Quite the contrary! You are the one using human system, thoughts, ways and behaviour to analogue and defines God's system of justice and pattern of doing things. Like i said above, your understanding and acception of unconditional love entails that you can be wrong all through and God musn't give a dime about it. Thaty the love entails that one can continue in the ways that seemed right in his eyes all through his life, and there should be no penal code or restriction, even when it is inimical to his own being, not to talk of others. Your thesis on unconditional love, vis law and punishment, entails a complete realization of the Hobbesian state of nature. But unfortunately, it isn't so, and can never be so. Brother, you are still understanding love. Once you are able to grasp the true meaning of love, you will then be able to comprehend the inalienable right of justice and judgement, pertaining to punishment. May God grant you peace, grace and understanding to see through the fallacy of no consequence or reward for the life you live; amen! And i will heed your advise to take a rest. Godbless you! Stay well. |
Jozzy4:Alright. But remember that you have been told. Judgement is ahead, make haste while the sunshine. |
nobilis:And you didnt include your own interpretations of unconditional love-to appear to be - the freedom to live your life anyhow you deem fit, while negating what you are being taught abouit it to mean-the act of God's salvation and willingness for all manKIND to be save. You are truely an amazing learner. |
menesheh:Good question once again Now, pls tell me; who are you as a human? What are you made up of, or what are your composition? |
Jozzy4:Nobody told you that the wages of sin is " only " spiritual death. What we tried to make you see is that; death does not literally mean the demise of the physical body ceasing to exist in the physical realm-earth. Rather, death is a process and the starting point of it is " dying spiritually " before any form of physical death takes place. The Bible has a great deal to say about death and, more importantly, what happens after death. Physical death and spiritual death are both a separation of one thing from another. Physical death is the separation of the soul from the body, and spiritual death is the separation of the soul from God. When understood in that way, the two concepts are very closely related, and both physical death and spiritual death are reflected in the very first references to death. In the creation account (Genesis 1–2), we read how God created a variety of living beings. These animals had life, an inward element that gave movement and energy to their physical bodies. Scientists are still at a loss to explain what truly causes life, but the Bible is clear that God gives life to all things (Genesis 1:11-28; 1 Timothy 6:13). The life that God gave to mankind was different from that which He gave to animals. In Genesis 2:7, we are told that God “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.” Whereas animals have a purely physical life, humans have both a physical and a spiritual element of life, and the death we experience likewise has both a physical and a spiritual element. According to Genesis 2:17, God told Adam that if he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he would “surely die.” Some skeptics have tried to use this verse to show an inconsistency in the Bible, because Adam and Eve did not die the very day they ate of that fruit. In the Hebrew, it literally says, “dying you will die.” It indicates a process that has a definite starting point, and continues into the future. When they sinned (Genesis 3:7), Adam and Eve immediately knew theirguilt. With that guilt came a shame which caused them to try to hide from God, because they had become spiritually dead, or separated from Him. In addition to the immediate spiritual death they experienced, they also began the process of physical death, even though it took many years for death to have its full effect. This can be better understood with the example of a flower. When you see a flower growing in a garden, you know it is alive, because it is connected to the stem and the roots, and is receiving nourishment from the ground. When you separate the flower from its life source, it still has the appearance of life, and can maintain that appearance for several days, depending on the conditions. Regardless of the care it is given, though, it is already dying, and that process cannot be reversed. The same is true for mankind. The physical death that entered into the world with Adam's sin (Romans 5:12) affected all living things. It is difficult for us to conceive of a world without death, but that is what Scripture teaches was the condition before the Fall. All living things began the process of dying when sin entered the world. When physical death occurs, there is a definite separation of the life force from the body. When that separation occurs, there is nothing man can do to reverse it (even the medical community acknowledges the difference between a “clinical death” and a “biological death”). The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), and death comes upon all men because all have sinned. Everyone is subject to physical death because of the presence of sin in this world, as well as their own personal sins. From a human perspective, physical death seems to be the ultimate punishment, but the Bible teaches there are deeper meanings of death to be considered. The life that God breathed into Adam (Genesis 2:7) was more than just animal life; it was the breath of God, resulting in a being with a soul. Adam was created spiritually alive, connected to God in a special way. He enjoyed a relationship with God, but when he sinned, that relationship was broken. Spiritual death has implications both before and after physical death. Though Adam was still physically alive (but beginning the dying process), he became spiritually dead, separated from relationship with God. In this present life on earth, the effect of spiritual death is the loss of God's favor as well as the knowledge of and desire for God. Scripture is clear that everyone begins life “dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1-5), resulting in a life focused on our sinful desires. Jesus taught that the remedy for spiritual death is a spiritual rebirth (John 3:3-5) through faith in Him. This rebirth is a re-connection to the source of life, which Jesus pictured in John 15:1-6. He is the vine, and we are the branches. Without being connected to Him, we have no life in us, but when we have Jesus, we have real life (1 John 5:11-12). For those who refuse to accept God's salvation, physical death and spiritual death culminate in the “second death” (Revelation 20:14). This eternal death is not annihilation, as some have taught, but is a conscious, eternal punishment for sins in the lake of fire, described as being separated from the presence of the Lord (2 Thessalonians 1:9). Jesus also spoke of this eternal separation from God in Matthew 25:41 and identified the conscious torment of individuals in the story of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31). God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), so they do not have to remain spiritually dead. To repent means to turn away from sin, and includes confessing sin to God with sorrow for violating His holiness. Those who have received God's salvation have turned from death to life (1 John 3:14), and the second death has no power over them (Revelation 20:6). Thus, when the bible talks about death as in Romans 6, it's actually more on that spiritual seperation. |
menesheh:Oh thank God youi ask this question. YOU are that best evidence that a God exist. ![]() |
nobilis:By your own interpretations, you are learning fast. ![]() |
nobilis:By unconditional love of God vis the Mercy of God enduring forever (as highlighted by the scriptures you posted), you must understand that there is a sense in which God loves everyone in the whole world (John 3:16; 1 John 2:2; Romans 5: . This love in not conditional—it is based only on the fact that God is a God of love (1 John 4:8, 16). God’s love for all of mankind results in the factthat God shows His mercy by not immediately punishing people for their sins (Romans 3:23; 6:23). God’s love for the world is manifested in the fact that He gives people the opportunity to repent (2 Peter 3:9). By unconditional love of God, we mean that God's salvation came to all without recourse to race, tribe, or colour. However, God’s love for the world does not mean He will ignore sin. God is also a God of justice (2 Thessalonians 1:6). Sin cannot go unpunished forever (Romans 3:25-26). The most loving act of eternity is described in Romans 5:8, “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Anyone who ignores God’s love, who rejects Christ as Savior, who denies the Savior who bought him (2 Peter 2:1) will be subject to God’s wrath for eternity (Romans 1:18), not His love (Romans 6:23). God loves everyone unconditionally in that He shows mercy to everyone by not destroying them immediately because of sin. At the same time, God only has “covenant love” for those who place their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation (John 3:36). Only those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will experience God’s love for eternity. Does God love everyone? Yes! But the fact remains that God has a unique relationship with people that fear His name (Christians) in that only Christians have His eternal grace and mercy and the promise of His forever love in heaven. The unconditional love God has for everyone should bring us to faith in Him, receiving in thankfulness the great conditional love He grants all those who receive Jesus Christ as Savior. Thus, when the Psalmist talked about God ' s mercy enduring forever, he never meant to say you can continue in sin or live your life anyhow. It is far from it. Rather, what it entails is that God’s love and grace on behalf of His chosen people, is demonstrated by His sovereign choice and convenant. Take Israel for instance, the history of His dealings with them, in spite of their repeated rebellion and idolatry, displays that His lovingkindness is truly everlasting. He always finds a way to bring them out of their sinful lives, out of their bondage, because of His sovereign choice and Abrahamic convenant. They did not deserve it but He kept coming to save them and redeem them all the time. That is why David shouted " His mercy endureth forever ". But despite this everlasting love and mercy, most of them also died as a result of their rebellion; because God is also a God of Justice. This history of physical Israel is a picture of our spiritual history, of how God chose us by grace alone, redeemed us from bondage to sin, and saved us to be“a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession” (1 Pet. 2:9). |

MizJanet:So when the Bible talks about "the wages of sin is death", it means, death in the literal sense? If so, it shows you are still understanding the concept of death as use in this context. Now, let us examine Romans 6:23 which says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”It has it core in the concept of sin. Sin is rebellion against God. And when we sinned, our sin separates us from God, the creator and sustainer of life. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life” (John 14:6). God is known as the great “I AM.” Life is in God. So, when we sin and become separated from God, we become separated from true life. Therefore, perforce, we experience death. There are three points of clarifications that must be made here: First, sin does not necessarily result in physical death right away. Romans 6 is not telling us that when we sin we will physically die. Rather, it is referring to spiritual death (eternal seperation from God). Secondly, when we are saved in Christ, we are rescued from ultimate spiritual death and brought into ultimate spiritual life. For instance, Paul told the Romans, “The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23b). Third, even believers' sins will still result in a type of spiritual “death.” Though we are rescued from the ultimate penalty of sin (eternal separation from God), we are not exempt from the natural consequences of a broken relationship with the Father. When we sin, we experience the symptoms of spiritual death. We may feel guilty, empty, confused, or disconnected from God. We act as the unrighteous rather than as the righteous. Our sin, even as believers, hurts the heart of God and grieves His Spirit (Ephesians 4:30). Our sin does put a barrier between us and God. So it is with us and God. When we rebel against God’s rule in our lives, we rebel against the very Life (that eternal life), and therefore experience “death” (a brokenness resulting in pain). But when we return to God, we are also restored to spiritual life—communion with God, a sense of purpose, righteousness, freedom, etc. The rejoicing father in the Parable of the Prodigal Son said it best: “This son of mine was dead and is alive again” (Luke 15:24). Now, ask yourself; did the prodigal Son died physically when the father was making that statement? I believe you already know the Answer.![]() That is the indept meaning of the term " death " as it relates to " Sin " as used in Romans 6. |
spencerwilliams:You are very correct! Many can't deal with sins in their life, and the easier way out is to put the blame on God who they don't even understand a jot about. You are not able to witness the supernatural does not mean there is nothing like it. What you believe, the position you are at some particular point in time, and outright co-incident or sheer luck, may determine whether you will or not witness the supernatural. . This love in not conditional—it is based only on the fact that God is a God of love (1 John 4:8, 16). God’s love for all of mankind results in the fact
