Source: www.aproko247.com/2013/01/25/oct-1-bombing-drama-in-court-as-edmund-ebuware-gets-life-sentence/ A Federal High Court Judge, Justice Gabriel Kolawole, has sentenced Edmund Ebuware to life imprisonment for having a link with Henry Okah over the October 1, 2010 bombings in Abuja. Ebuware was in court over allegations of having a pre-information about the October 1, car bomb blasts in Abuja and hiding it from the authorities. He was convicted when the prosecuting counsel proved its point beyond reasonable doubts. Justice Kolawole, however, said that Ebuware, if found to be of good conduct, could enjoy a parole, subject to the approval of the president after serving 32 years of his life sentence jail term. Meanwhile, after his conviction, and getting a hug from his young wife, Ebuware caused a drama at the court premises as he claimed to be innocent of the charges he was convicted for. He uncontrollably cried and was held by some security operatives at the court as he struggled to fight some of them. Henry Okah was sentenced to life imprisonment days ago by a South African court for having link in the 2010 Independence Day car bombing. |

But when a certain Majek Fashek is seated before you, it is an invitation to doubt. Once the gleaming jewel of Nigerian music, Majek is now a shell of a man; a diamond turned to lead. His once attractive face offers a passable imitation of a badly kept grave. The eyes are sunken and sad. The upper teeth, coloured by relentless smoking of marijuana and cigarettes, are an advertisement for abysmal dental hygiene. |

Professor Chinedu Nebo, the former Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, UNN, Nsukka, Enugu, told the senate, while speaking as the Power Minister nominee, that if confirmed, he would chase of the ‘demons of darkness’ frustrating the power sector in Nigeria. Nebo eloquently said, “I believe that God will give me the power to chase out the demons in the power sector,” noting that he will, however, carefully tread as he is aware of some ‘banana peels’ scattered on his ground with the aim of making him fail in his mission of reviving the sector. Speaking further, Nebo said he will first understudy what’s on ground in order to map out strategies of dealing with power problems in the country. Source: aproko247 |
Soul E, a Nigerian music star and former husband of an ex-banker turned singer, Queen Ure, has revealed that at a point in his life, after himself and Ure parted, that he almost committed suicide. Soul E was speaking on a radio show on Eko FM, Joli Joli Avenue, yesterday, while on the programme as a celebrity guest with MC Ice. The singer cum Prophet said that during that time he considered taking his life, things went bad for him coupled with what was being written about him in the media, which nearly left with that option of committing suicide, but it took the grace of God for him to overcome that deadly temptation. He, however, said that his troubled times are now over as he has found a great joy in God now. While on the radio show, well monitored by Aproko247, Soul E prophesied to some listeners saying that they would be blessed with gift of cars before the end of the month of January.
