Students in state tertiary institutions have been protesting the huge hike in tuition fees at their various institutions of learning since last year.

Some students have been made to drop out from school because of their inability to afford the over 200% hike in fees. Many also forced to repeat a session for failing to meet the deadline to pay fees. s

Despite the exorbitant costs, there have been no improvements by government in infrastructure provided in these schools and lecturers are at battle point with state governments over the issue of salary and allowances.

The situation in state run primary and secondary schools is similar. With no free education as promised by government, dilapidated school infrastructures, moral low staff, scarcity of school furniture, students sit on the floor or those whose parents can afford furniture carry their desks and chairs on their heads to the schools.s

In Ogun State, the people are wondering about what has happened to the huge allocation the state Governor, Ibikunle Amosun told the people he makes yearly to fund the education sector in the state.

The answer to this question may have surfaced through a chat we had with a friend to one of the ex boyfriends of the daughters of the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Barrister John Olusegun Odubela. Usman (not real name) gave this reporter details about the high spending life styles of the Odubela girls.

We learnt their father spoils them with money, sending them a minimum of £2,000 weekly. (£2,000 – Naira 558, 000). This enables the girls shop at the most expensive and exclusive shops in London buying all types of designer branded shoes, bags and clothings.

The girls, we gathered treat friends to expensive food which is a daily occurrence at their Praed, street Edgeware, London residence. Property in this area goes for £3,000 a week (Naira 976,000) shopping trips round up to about £10,000.

We gathered that these young girls are obsessed with expensive designer labels especially Chanel. We were told that the prices of Chanel bags that these Odubela girls have in their wardrobe range from £2,500 to £6,000 (Naira 697,000 – Naira 1.7million) per bag. 10 of these bags can be seen in the pictures as they are flaunted.

Usman informed us that the girls live outrageous lives which caused a rift between Timi and a son of a top ranking PDP politician from the northern part of Nigeria who in disgust asked her to dress with decency and stop spending money recklessly when people are starving around the world. This piece of advice annoyed Tomi and ended their relationship.

Usman said he used to be on the online group of the girls where he was able to retrieve the pictures in this report when a close friend of his was accused of stealing £2,000 left on a table in the girl’s apartment. On this group, the girls exhibit their many purchases and flamboyant lifestyle to group members. With some people begging to befriend the girls.

It is instructive to know that prior to Odubela being made Commissioner, all three girls attended school in Nigeria. The eldest, Timi did so badly in her examination she could not get admission to study Medicine in any university in United Kingdom as her parents wished, and settled for a course in Human Sciences.

Usman informed us he was not surprised to hear she failed her exams since all the sisters spent all their time on the popular Oxford street shopping for expensive things to impress their friends.

When this reporter informed Usman about recent protests by students and state of schools in Ogun State where Odubela is Commissioner for Education, Usman responded “The money is in Harrods and Oxford Street, go and look for it there. In fact, if I want to see any of the Odubela girls right now, I just go to Marble Arch, walk around for 10 minutes they will appear”.

Recently, students in tertiary institutions in Ogun State were beaten by government security agents for protesting a 300% hike in fees and government unfriendly posture at students in the State.

Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, is a man of many personalities. To some, he is eccentric, while others believe he is just a blunt person.

Area Fada, as he is also fondly called by his fans, held a lying-in-state ceremony for his late father, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa, in Owerri, Imo State, on Wednesday, which had the Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha in attendance.

However, just when the event was still going on, the entertainer stormed out of the International Conference Centre hall in Owerri, venue of the ceremony.

Initially, many thought Charly Boy was going out to attend to an urgent issue outside the hall, but to their surprise, he asked his aides, security men, journalists and cameramen inside the hall to come with him, apparently informing them he was done with the lying-in-state.

From what we gathered, Charly Boy took the action when he discovered that some politicians at the event were about to hijack his dad’s lying-in-state ceremony and turn into a political rally.

It was observed that the ceremony did not start until the state governor arrived, which was behind the scheduled time. Also, before his late arrival to the venue, supporters of the governor and members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, had stormed the venue, singing and dancing. When the governor stormed the event, he was cheered by many people.

Also at the event was the National Chairman of APC, John Oyegun.

This news will definitely excite numerous and worried fans of popular Yoruba gospel singer, Busola Oke, otherwise known Eleyele, as Aproko247 has reliably learnt that she has been discharged from the hospital, days after she was involved in a ghastly auto crash in Oyo State. Busola crashed her SUV last week Saturday, which was badly damaged.

The musician was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday, according to her media management team, The City Pulse Multimedia, which disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, and made available to this magazine.

“Eleyele (Busola), her manager (Mr Afolabi) and PA (Mr Francis) were admitted on that same day at a Lagos hospital under intensive care and close supervision for four days and was discharged yesterday (Wednesday), but the PA is still in the hospital for bed rest,” part of the statement read.

Busola was involved in a road accident at Fiditi area of Oyo State on her way back from a social function in Oyo town. The incident occurred about 7:15am alongside with her stage manager, Mr Afolabi, and her Personal Assistant, Mr Francis.

She was rescued by the team of road safety and police officers that were standing at about .5km away from the scene of the incident.

However, they were given first aid treatment at Amdallah hospital in Ibadan before they were transferred to Crystal Hospital in Lagos via the Oyo State Emergency Ambulance, courtesy of a close relative.

The aviation sector of the Nigerian economy has been going through turbulent period since 2013 when the two BMW bullet cars involving the Minister, Stella Oduah, broke. This is despite the fact that the sector has been going through a rapid transformation.

Just when Nigerians thought that the storm was over, Oduah was hit with an alleged certificate forgery scam. Her Masters degree’s claim from a US college was discovered to be fake, while only on Wednesday, another story broke online that she was never awarded an honourary doctorate from Pacific Christian College, USA.

After the story broke, Aproko247 contacted the said university, which is now called Hope Christian University, to confirm through their records if the report was true. One of their members of staff, who spoke with this magazine, disclosed that no honourary doctorate degree was given to the name ‘Stella Oduah’, according to their records.

However, Paparazzi Magazine has reported that the House of Representatives Aviation Committee Chairperson, Hon Nkiruka Chidubem Onyejeocha, is allegedly one of the brains behind the ‘Stella Oduah must go’ campaign.

The magazine claimed that the lawmaker has been used by some to bring down the minister. Below is the Paparazzi’s story;

It is no longer news that the minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah, has been in the eye of the storm for many months, as her sworn enemies, who she said have entrenched interests in the aviation industry, keep bringing new twists into their declared war against her, despite widespread opinion that she has outperformed all other aviation ministers before her.

What is however news is what Paparazzi Magazine, through painstaking investigation, unearthed concerning one of her now-exposed sworn enemies, who by law, is supposed to be performing legislative oversight functions on the aviation ministry and its agencies. Paparazzi investigation has revealed that the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Aviation, Hon Nkiruka Chidubem Onyejeocha, might have been acting out a written script in her handling of the now infamous investigations into the bullet proof car procurement by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, and also at the same time, pursuing a personal vendetta against the minister.

According to sources in the aviation industry, Hon Onyejeocha is voicing out a script written by “entrenched interests” in the aviation industry, who have found in her a willing ally in prosecuting their war against the minister. This revelation is most astonishing because our investigation revealed that Hon Onyejeocha has been demanding for and receiving various gifts including cash running into thousands of dollars from the minister’s office and other aviation stakeholders.

According to a source who does not want to be named, “The House of Representatives Committee on Aviation chairman is only acting out her own part in the war that has been declared by enemies of the minister. She is an Igbo woman, just like the minister, and those using her found out that it will be easier to use the minister’s kinswoman against her and she is doing their bidding with perfection.”

**Bomb Blasts, Air Crash Will Also Happen In 2014

Recently, at the beginning of every year, most men of God inform the nation of what danger lies ahead in the new year. Some of these predictions have come to pass, which have made most Nigerians to take these predictions bu the men of God very serious.

For respected and funky man of God, Prophet (Dr) Chris Okafor, who is often referred to as 'oracle of God' by many, there are dangers ahead in 2014, which can only be averted by prayers. Okafor, who is the General Overseer of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, aka Liberation City, has predicted that there would be bloodshed on Saturday, January 25, 2014.

The man of God made this known during the December 31, 2013 cross over service held at his church in Ojodu Berger, Lagos. He explained that God warned that Nigerians should be very sensitive to these prophecies and pray fervently to avert the disasters.

According to him, there will major bomb blasts in the country which will claim many lives. He added that these blasts will happen simultaneously, but warned that if the country can come together to pray, God might listen to their cries and avert the dangers.

Prophet Okafor also predicted that there will be major air disaster in the early month of the year. This air crash, as the man of God said, might claim the lives of many eminent Nigerians. He then called on all stakeholders in the aviation industry to come alive in discharging their duties to correct the errors.
Revealing the disaster that might happen on January 25, the prophet urged Nigerians to pray to scare away the impending evil. He, however, did not state through which channel the said bloodshed will occur.

However, the 'oracle of God' predicts that 2014 is a year of increase in all ramifications for those that believe and serve God diligently. He pointed out that all those who labour on the right part will reap the fruit of their labour.

Prophet Okafor challenged political office holders in the country to positively impact on the lives of the citizens. He also challenged Nigerians to continue to pray for the survival of democracy in the country.

In 2013, prophet Okafor predicted the death of Nelson Mandela, the plane crash, Nigeria's victory over Ethiopia at the World Cup qualifier, the fire disaster, amongst many others. He has been a source of joy and blessing to many widows and downtrodden in the society through his various kind gestures to them.

The National Chairman of the Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP, Bamanga Tukur, has boasted that members of the opposition party, All Progressives Congress, APC, are eager to join the ruling party, PDP.

Tukur made this disclosure in London on Wednesday while receiving a group of Nigerian professionals living in Europe, who paid him a courtesy visit. The group was led by one Dr Edwin Olabamiro.

Recent developments in the political settings of Nigeria have seen the massive defection of PDP members to the APC.

But Tukur, allaying the fears, told the professionals that contrary to the recent happenings, the PDP had been welcoming more members into its fold from across the federation compared to the number of those that have defected. He added that the PDP has put measures in place to make the aggrieved members return to the party soon.

"The PDP remains a party with the largest spread and tested strength to win elections any day any time. I thank you all for this visit, while I urge our members in Nigeria not to be brow beaten by images of political delusion that confront them every day from different quarters," Tukur told the visiting Nigerian professionals.

"The good thing is that if five people move out of PDP into the other party, even by a dint of propaganda, the party takes in more than 500 at a time as replacement. The electorate in Nigeria trusts the PDP more than many people are aware," a boastful Tukur further stated.

He also declared that, "at the end of it all, PDP would be the better and more prepared to do greater exploits," urging the party members to "savour the period of the yuletide and not allow any issue to keep them distracted and depressed."

Tukur thanked the group for showing interest in offering their expertise in moving the country forward. He noted that they are needed to take part in the 2015 general election.

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has disclosed that about 20 children have perished in road accidents across the country between December 19, 2013 to December 28, 2013 during this yuletide season. The road agency also revealed that about 75 children have suffered various degrees of injuries in such road mishaps in the same period under review.

This was made known in a statement released on Monday by the Corps Commander, Corps Public Education Officer, Jonas Agwu, which was posted on the Corps' Facebook page.

According to Agwu, "available statistics on road crashes involving children during this year’s yuletide from 19th to 28th December, 2013, indicate that 20 children were killed and 75 others injured in various road crashes involving 239 children with 144 of them rescued alive by FRSC patrol operatives."

He stressed in the statement that, "the FRSC has reiterated its warning to parents and other drivers who convey children on their vehicles, to ensure that children are appropriately restrained when travelling in a motor vehicle" adding that "children who are under 12 years should be restrained in the rear seats, in line with the provisions of the National Road Traffic Regulations, 2012, because air bags can injure or kill young children travelling in front seats, in the event of a crash."

Agwu further noted in the statement that, "one of the most effective measures to protect occupants from injury in the event of a crash is the fitment and use of seat-belts and child restraints. Restraints save lives and reduce injury severity - all vehicle occupants should be appropriately restrained when travelling in a vehicle."

As a result of the above, the statement disclosed that, "the Corps has mandated its Commanding Officers to intensify enforcement of traffic rules and regulations bothering on child safety during the 2013 yuletide patrols which is slated to end on 12th January, 2014. Additional steps will be taken by FRSC operatives to conduct routine checks on vehicles conveying children to ensure that such children are properly positioned through restraints."

Road accidents are mostly recorded in Nigeria during festive periods. This is the time most Nigerians travel home to celebrate the season with their families.

Tracing the genesis of their relationship, we gathered that, the beautiful Roseline sought Desmond’s help to make her an actress and no sooner they met than he (Desmond) featured her to star alongside notable faces like Uti Nwachukwu, Ini Edo, Lydia Forson, Morris Sesay in one of the films he directed, In The Cupboard,  a story that revolves around the lives of six siblings born into the rich, aristocratic Desouza family; a name synonymous with wealth & power, the rest as they say has been history.

If all permutations work in favour of Mrs Joy Ifijie, the widow upbraided by the Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, some days ago, she might eventually end up as the First Lady of the state. Mrs Ifijie is beautiful and good to behold.

Mrs Ifijie’s matter generated sympathy when Oshiomhole reportedly asked her to “go and die” when she was caught breaking a traffic/trade law. Oshiomhole came under harsh criticism for his comment to the poor widow, which went viral in the social media penultimate week.

The opposition party in Edo State, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, reportedly used the incident to score political point, but the Governor was very smart as he quickly apologised to the woman. He even went ahead to invite the woman to the Government House in Benin City and gave her the sum of N2 Million. Mrs Ifijie was also made the Special Assistant to the Governor on Environmental Matters.

However, some Nigerians have suggested to the Governor to marry Mrs Ifijie since he is a widower, having lost his wife to cancer few years ago.

Now that the widow is close to Oshiomhole with a juicy appointment as one of his aides, it is believed that a romantic bond might erupt between the duo as the woman is still young and beautiful. Some people have said that the coming together of Oshiomhole and Mrs Ifijie might be divine and might also be for that specific reason, marriage between them.

If the Governor bows to public pressure, just as he did with the apology and the cash donation, and decides to pick the widow as his wife, Mrs Ifijie might eventually turn Mrs Oshiomhole, which will automatically make her the First Lady of Edo State.

If information at our disposal is anything to go by, then the nation’s number one cop, who is charged to sanitize the society of wrong doings, might be swimming in a monumental fraud capable of relieving him of his sensitive position. The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Dikko Abubakar, National Enquirer gathered exclusively, would have to explain to the Police authority and the nation as a whole his involvement in what some policemen termed a forceful and illegal offer of private placement, a shady shares allotment enforced on police personnel.

The office of the Inspector General of Police via his agents-Fokas Savings & Loans, we gathered exclusively has allegedly raked in a whopping sum of N4.7 billion, being total monies forcefully deducted from police salaries to buy shares without their consent.

Below is a bromide copy of the form circulated and enforced on them to be filled and submitted. In total, N11, 000 was deducted in two installments from about 370,000 police personnel across Nigeria.

This is not one of those cock and bull stories, everyone has got a police friend or have one as a neighbour, all you need do is sound them out, most especially the rank and files (low cadre officers) whose money were deducted twice (N5,500 for two months) without their knowledge, all in the name of buying shares.

As you read this, talks of this is spreading like wild fire in Police barracks even though they have no such guts to revolt or protest, it is against the police act but the opinion poll we gathered has it that, the newly wedded Police boss, Mohammed Abubakar has been nicknamed as the most corrupt in the history of Nigeria police.

Some policemen in the state have actually raised an alarm over exactly what they called, “arbitrary deductions from their salaries. They affirmed that the Mechanised Salary Section  of the police made unsanctioned deductions of N5, 500 from their salaries for the procurement of Fokas Savings and Loans Limited shares.

“This is so ridiculous, how could this happen in a civil society, how can my money be deducted without being properly briefed about the shares am being forced to buy? For instance, how many shares will my money give me? I don’t know, this IG is very dubious”, the angry policeman quipped.

Some of the policemen that spoke to us pointed out that the plan was suspicious due to the fact that they were not notified regarding it, prior to the salary deduction. They added that it was after the very first deduction had been made that they were enlightened by their ogas at the top that the cash would certainly be subtracted monthly until further notice.

In February 2013, a Yoruba actress, Yetunde Akilapa, was nabbed by a mob in Somolu area of Lagos State for an alleged robbery. The up and coming make-believe star was accused of being in possession of about 100 pieces of master keys.

However, months after the incident, the actress has now been discharged and acquitted by the court.

Yetunde was let off the hook some days ago after the court ruled that the matter brought before it by the police lacked diligent prosecution.

The actress had disclosed that the bunch of keys found on her were props used in her flick titled ‘Bunmi Akata’, but her accusers didn’t dance to her explanations. She was then detained at Alade Police Station in Somolu on February 7, 2013, and charged to court thereafter.

Top Nollywood star, Stephanie Okereke-Linus was appointed as a brand ambassador for Kanekalon Hair in 2011. The deal came almost at the same time the actress got another brand deal with electronics giant, LG.

Back then, the Chinese hair product reportedly chose Stephanie for the deal based on her popularity in the movie industry in Nigeria as well as her link with the New York Film Academy, which her husband, Linus Idahosa, also has a link with.

Shortly after she grabbed the endorsement, the former beauty pageant contestant swung into action and was involved in activities aimed at promoting the brand she represents. Small gigs were held and products of Kanekalon were given out to lucky fans.

But little has been heard about the actress and the product for some months now.

Information reaching Aproko247 indicates that there is no love lost between Stephanie and Kanekalon. We reliably learnt that the 2002 runner-up of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, MBGN, has now been dropped as the brand ambassador of the product.

According to the information reaching us, Stephanie was dumped because she was allegedly no more giving value to the brand. It was gathered that the management of the company was not happy with the way the actress didn’t use her influence to help their product in the market.

As learnt, other brands of hair products in the market were doing better that Kanekalon, though they didn’t have known faces to their products. We scooped that the company marketing the product felt that they were wasting money paying Stephanie as their brand ambassador.

It is a common thing to see a woman gets angry, when she gets to know that another woman is sharing her man with her. Most women don’t like such and sometimes go to the extent of inflicting bodily harm on the intruder or sometimes take fatal action.
Recently, popular Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola-Salako married top Lagos socialite, Kayode Salako in a controversial way, which later turned messy as she was alleged to have snatched the handsome school proprietor from his ex-wife, Bukola.

However, a family friend of the new couple later alleged that the Ekiti State-born make-believe queen used charm on Kayode, a claim Foluke and reportedly threatened to take a legal action.

During the heat of the controversies, Foluke claimed she did not snatch Kayode from his estranged wife as widely claimed.

Against all odds, the two got married traditionally in Lagos and have since been living as husband and wife and even travelled to Canada together recently for a second honeymoon.

In an interview with a Lagos-based soft sell magazine (not First Weekly), the screen diva-cum-activist blamed Bukky for leaving Kayode because of her. Foluke emphasised that it was foolish of her (Bukky) to have packed out of her matrimonial home because of the then alleged extra-marital affair Kayode was having with her (Foluke).

Defending Kayode’s extra marital affair with her before Bukky left him, the actress said, “In the first instance, did you read in the Bible that any of the people who were the apples of God’s eyes had one wife?”

“As it is now, if Kayode goes ahead and impregnates a woman, will I leave him because of that?” she asked, adding that, Yet, I am not even pregnant.”

“If I decide to leave my home because my husband is dating another woman or impregnated a woman, who will lose, my husband or me?” Foluke further queried, “at the end of the day, it is the woman that owns the home and you hold it the way you want to hold it,” she posited.

“So, if my husband is misbehaving and I decide to quit, I shouldn’t blame another person for coming in,” she added.

The pomp and pageantry that usually precede every season of the Nigerian Breweries’ Gulder Ultimate Search will do little to persuade people to follow it as keenly as before.

The television reality show, which took the country by storm some years ago, when Ezeugo became the debut winner to the acceptance of the people, has over the years been suffering a decline in followership due to the perceived fraud noted in choosing the winners.

It started some years back when, during the screening in Lagos, it was alleged that the organizers of the screening, after asking those who were present to participate to drop their phones and other equipment, were told that the show in which 12 contestants were supposed to slug it out, with one emerging winner, would only be picking two out of several thousands that would participate in that year’s screening across the country.

They added that the company already had 10 models that would be contesting. This, according to the source, forced some of those around to return home without passing through the screening. A winner eventually emerged from the models.

Recently, it has been discovered that a new strategy is being employed by the organizers of Gulder Ultimate Search to make sure that the winners are from one agency or the other working with the organizers.

It was gathered that models are now asked to join the screening, with an assurance that they will pass even if they did not qualify.

It is to be noted that Gulder Ultimate Search is more or less the only television reality show that picks its winner by ways other than the vote of the people and this is aiding their alleged persistent fraud on viewers, who are of the opinion that the best participants are usually not the winner.

This, we gathered, is responsible for the people’s attitude towards the show.

Sources revealed that though the viewership has been suffering decline in the recent past, it became more obvious during the recent one, which saw erstwhile ardent followers disenchanted.

Those who spoke to us echoed the same problem. They complained that those who during the course of the show won the admiration of the viewers with their intelligence, hard work, confidence, and many of such attributes, usually lost out to those that were not as qualified at the end. All these have led to the boycott the programme is suffering from at the moment.

In the last 10 days, two deaths have already been recorded in the Yoruba movie industry. First, it was the death of a 32-year-old Jane Atayero-Oluseye that shocked many, before veteran actor, Pa Ola Ogungbe died.

Just as the industry was still mourning the two deaths, another practitioner has again passed away.

This time, death snatched Falilat Korede Oketayo, a member of the Association of Theatre Arts Practitioner of Nigeria, ANTP, in Ogun State. She reportedly died on Tuesday at her residence in Sagamu, Ogun State.

Aproko247 reliably learnt that Falilat died after a brief illness. She is survived by two children, an aged father and siblings.

Authority sources within the government circle in Ilorin, Kwara State have revealed that the executive Governor of the State, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed is once again a darling father of a baby boy, courtesy of his pretty mistress, Yinka Olanrewaju.

Our impeccable sources confirmed that the boy, who is said to be a split image of the Governor, was delivered on September 9 in the state capital, Ilorin.

The story of the pregnancy of Yinka and the romance with the Governor made the rounds early in July, but it was frontally denied by the media team of the gGvernor.

"Now, the chicken has come home to roost, let them come out again and deny. It was as if the poor tot knew the kind of controversy surrounding his coming. So, he decided to share his father’s image, it was as if ‘megida’, Governor Ahmed, vomited him," our source disclosed to us.

The source revealed that Abdulfattah has accepted full responsibility and everybody is happy now.

However, while Yinka, the mother of the boy and lover boy governor are excited, the story might be different with the First Lady of the state, Omolewa who reportedly relocated abroad and now visits the state house occasionally from her base abroad.

"She was around about a month ago; she stayed for about one week before she travelled back.

"The woman is really nice; her gentle disposition to life cannot allow her cope with the kind of environment she found herself in government house.

"She is a born again Christian with a very strong passion for the less privileged and the low level women, hence her Leah Foundation, which has endeared her more to the rural women unlike the previous dispensation,” said a source.

Omolewa was said to have finally made up her mind to leave the turbulent life in the state house sometime in June when she got wind of the pregnancy of Yinka, who is the daughter of an influential Ilorin-based business mogul, the late Alhaji Oseni Olanrewaju, even while she was battling to conceive herself.

"This issue of Yinka was not the first she had to contend with, though she’s not the man’s first wife, the fact remains that the Governor gave her his words that no other woman will come in between them again and Omolewa trusted him absolutely, not minding his reputation as a lady’s man," said a source.

Late last year, the issue of one Igbo lady, Ciphering was at the front burner, Omolewa never believed her husband was sleeping with this young girl, whose mother was a cook at the press centre, but a source told us their relationship dated back to the girl’s secondary school days at St. Anthony College, a school she left in 2004.

"When Ciphering became pregnant for the governor last year, it was real hell and the storm which occasioned the pregnancy only abated when mother and child relocated abroad," our source added.

The latest information coming from ace music producer-cum-singer, OJB Jezreel, from his hospital in India confirms that he's now through with his surgery and has also been discharged from the hospital.

The Surulere, Lagos bred star, some days ago, successfully completed his surgery and posted the pictures online to confirm that.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, OJB expressed joy at completing the surgery and hinted of his homecoming, which he says will happen very soon.

"Dear fellow Nigerians, greetings from far away India," he said, expressing that, "I am sure this note from me will catch you with a little surprise."

He stated that, "I thought I must take out a quick moment and let you know that I am officially discharged today (Tuesday)from the hospital, after a successful kidney transplantation surgery by God's grace."

Writing further, the 'African Queen' beat creator for 2Face wrote that, "I would like to take this opportunity to thank all Nigerians for your prayers and good wishes, without which all this would not have been possible."

"I also take this opportunity to thank my friends, fans and family for all the love, prayers and good wishes for a speedy recovery," he stated.

Concluding, the dreadlocks artiste revealed that, "[I will] be home with you soon," a news that will definitely cheer many Nigerians who have followed the whole process.

Also, one of his close associate, a fore-runner of the 'Save OJB Jezreel Campaign', Nomoreloss, confirmed to Aproko247, when contacted, that the seasoned music producer has been discharged from his Indian hospital.

A family member of Nigeria's former Military Vice-President, Mike Akhigbe, has claimed that the ex-Chief of General Staff is not dead as widely reported in the media on Monday morning.

Elder brother of the retired military officer, Joseph Alemon Akhigbe, disclosed that Admiral Akhigbe is presently in a hospital in the United States of America, USA, where he is recuperating.

He described the online reports of his brother's alleged death as "not true and really embarrassing" to the family.

He further stated that "the wife, son-in-law and his daughter are with him [in the US]. My immediate younger brother in Abuja, who spoke to the wife in America, confirmed to family members that the Admiral is stabilizing; the news of his [alleged] death is totally untrue."

Speaking on the rumoured death of the Admiral, his younger brother identified as Aselenmen, also said that, "I spoke with him this early morning at about 5am; that's why we are surprise with such an erroneous report. It is not good for people to report the death of persons when such is not the case."

Akhigbe served as Vice-President under General Abdusalam Abubakar between 1998 to 1999 when he handed over power to civilian President, Olusegun Obasanjo.

He was rumoured to have died on Sunday in London after a long battle with cancer.

Aproko247 can report with authority that Nigeria's Petroleum Minister, Diezani Allison Madueke, has started a test run of her newly floated newspaper, 'The Union'. The voluminous paper has an all-gloss pull-outs for its Entertainment, Sports, Fashion and Style sections.

A source in the organisation confirmed to Aproko247 that the management of the publication hopes to fully start its operations from January 1, 2014, but at the moment, they are trying to test the market with a weekly publication.

The newspaper published its first edition last week Monday before the Sallah holiday, which Aproko247 was privy to see and read also. The paper covers every aspects a normal newspaper reports.

As further gathered, 'The Union' operates from an expansive office located in GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, while the former Managing Director of Champion Newspaper, Emma Agu, is the head of the newspaper.

We were also told by our source that Reporters will be paid 250,000 monthly, while Editors will smile home at the end of the month with about N500,000.

Meanwhile, some journalists have been scrabbling to join the paper. We gathered that some have already been taken for now, while others will join by December 2013 in preparation for the 2014 full kick-off date.

The handsome actor, according to further information revealed to us, allegedly abandoned the beautiful baby since the day she was born, as the actor reportedly didn’t show up at the child’s christening held in Abeokuta, Ogun State in 2009 and afterwards.

It was squealed to us that the relationship between Femi and the 30-year-old lady started in 2007 after they both met on a movie set, ‘Korede Ke’, sometimes in 2006.
Soon, they both became live-in-lovers at Femi’s Mende, Maryland, Lagos-home.

Aproko247 learnt that Funmi became pregnant for Femi in September 2008 and gave birth to the actor’s alleged love child, Tolani, in June 2009, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, where the alleged babymama had relocated to in November 2008.

Our source further hinted that Femi failed to show up during the child’s christening, and that his parents were initially not aware of the whole scenario until Funmi travelled to Lagos to meet them when her pregnancy clocked seven months.

Femi had allegedly told Funmi that his parents were aware of the pregnancy only for Funmi to find out that it was all lies as Femi’s parents were surprised to discover that she was pregnant for their son, when they saw her. However, Femi later reportedly confirmed to his dad that he is responsible for Funmi’s pregnancy.

When contacted by Aproko247 to confirm the story, Femi didn’t deny it, but laughed and said, “it is an old story.”

If efforts are not quickly put in place to save the life of a veteran Nollywood actor, Kayode Dosumu, otherwise known as Pa Kasumu, the movie industry might lose one of its finest actors, God forbid.

According to information reaching Aproko247, which has been confirmed by this office, Pa Kasumu is presently 'walking in the shadows of death' and needs about N12 million to 'fear no evil' such might cause his family and the movie fraternity as a whole.

The renowned actor is suffering from a heart disease, which he confirmed to us when contacted on phone on Monday. "The ailment is also affecting my vision and my memory," Pa Kasumu faintly informed Aproko247.

He also confirmed to us that he needs about N12 million to undergo treatment to correct the defects.

We learnt that he is presently undergoing treatment at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, Idi Araba, Mushin for secondary prevention of repeat stroke.

Aproko247 has confirmed a plane crash in Lagos. The air disaster happened around NAHCO area of the the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, in Ikeja.

The aircraft, An Associated Airline, had 20 passengers on-board, and crashed as it just took off. It was heading to Akure, Ondo State, when the ugly incident occurred.

As at press time, corpse were seen as a part of the aircraft burns. All the passengers on board are feared dead.

Nigerian star actress, Foluke Daramola- Salako, has disclosed that she bleached her skin to keep her man from poachers. She stated this in a television programmed aired on Friday, monitored by Aproko247.

According to the crossover actress, explaining the reason why she has moved from the then known chocolate-skinned lady to a fair-skinned woman, when asked by one of the show’s anchors, admitted that she applies body creams which tones her skin.

One of Nigeria’s top artistes, Chinagorom Onuoha, well known as African China, has debunked news going viral on the internet claiming that he recently proposed marriage to a purported girlfriend of his identified as Erhabor-Emokpae.

There have been media reports that the Lagos-based singer has proposed to his heartthrob.
