No car buying mistakes you want to share?

I just totalled my car (insert wailing sound here) and have to get yet another used car. You know what they say, better to learn from others' mistakes, than to make your own.
My question is; if you could turn back the hands of time, what about your car buying experience, would you change?
What mistakes did you make when you were buying your car (past or present) that you wish you could undo?

I'll share mine:
1. I once got a car without getting the manual with it.
2. I once got a car with those silly added warranties (are those ever any good use?) I once got a car without checking the history (silly, i know. Hey, I never said I wasnt silly and impulsive lol)
3. I once got a car with (tan colored) cloth interior (BADDDD IDEA! as much as I despice leather interior, they are so much easier to clean lol)

Please do help by sharing your experiences.
I want to make sure I do it right this time and hopefully, this will be my last used car.

If anyone has any specfic tips for buying volkswagen beetles, please share.

I'm not saying that straight men should or should not shave their legs. Am saying that women should not be ridiculed for choosing not to. Why is it okay for a man not to shave his legs, yet its unacceptable for a woman to even fathom it?

Just because something is a common practice, does not make it wrong, neither does it make it right and it surely doesnt make it a golden rule that everyone must live by. To each her own. If anyone (male or female) wants to shave, or doesnt want to, that is their choice. Am sure she had a whole hour to shave those legs. It certainly wasnt laziness, or lack of adequate amount of time, it was a choice. And good for her for exercising her right to choose. Am sure alot of females like to shave their legs (, smoother legs, rightttt?). However, most females who do not want to, would find themselves razoring away at their legs just because you know, God forbid they dont and risk being the laughing stock image in the pic they see on nairaland the next day. She didnt choose her gender o, but at least she fit chooce what happens to her legs.
As a matter of fact, am Moniquing my legs for the next month. Whoever doesnt like it can go lick some shaving gel

Knowing how hard it is to find a job in naija, I'd do what ^^^ said. Like Ebonyeyes said, you're screwed either way, so if you must do it, MAKE SURE you use protection in your se*ual relations with her and be sure to get some evidence and be ready to blackmail her if things turn sour. If the story really is as you say it is, then she is obviously in denial. What you need to do is tell her its over. And once you do that, no matter what happens, dont open the door if she comes over. Accepting her calls and such things would only prolong her heartache. Good luck
