Congratulations boss. Its simple, recall your deferral request letter or mail. Explain to your school the recent development and recall your deferral request. Just be fast about it. Kema22: Good morning guys
I have been a part time silent observer on this thread but I would love you guys to join me in thanking God and I hope I would become a contact point for you all awaiting your ppr to get the good news soon. My Ppr just dropped and my timeline is as follows
Visa application timeline Applied 14th May Did biometrics on 26th of May Upfront medicals on 10th of May updated on the 21st of May. Bvl on the September 7th Ppr on the September 7th as well
I used normal route and no NSE as I couldn't write IELTS in such a short time. My mom is my sponsor and she submitted a bank statement of about 50000 CAD. I would be travelling to the University of New Brunswick by God's grace before this year runs out. Its an undergraduate program. Thank you so much guys Reading messages and words of encouragement from people on this thread really kept my hope alive. It was a long and anxious wait but we thank God it ended in praise.
I submitted Waec result High school testimonial Affidavit of support from my mom Bank statement of 20 million Study plan letter My mom's pension account statement My mom's letter of retirement LOA from my school.
I just deferred my admission early this morning sef. And I do not know what to do about that. |

He would even need medical results at the port of entry. He should go for medicals immediately. It's not something to boycott or ignore. Iphiegrace: Wow !!! Massive congratulations to him...
Please he should do his medicals so they can stamp his passport. I know someone whose passport was pending due to medicals...
Wow this is definitely God!!!! I follow you dey shake oooo |

A big congratulations to him. The almighty God is all knowing and all powerful. We are all praying to bath and swim in his limitless ocean of his divine grace and mercy. Lovesarrow: This my brother's application shows that what God cannot do does not exist and that there is no hard and fast rule for ircc. He refused to do IELTS and refused to do upfront medicals. He graduated in 2012 and has never worked for anybody in his life. He just runs his ecommerce business. And his application was haphazardly packed. Me I did IELTS and upfront medicals still we are still waiting.. Omo I'm still shaking on his behalf |

No application is the same. On this platform, we have seen people who got approved with just funding letters. Nobody can actually predict IRCC but to be on a safer side, its better to submit personal bank statements irrespective of the amount in it. If he or she does not have up to 1.5 Million, he or she should at least submit his or bank statement to show that he has a reasonable inflow and outflow of funds. Best wishes. Following nairaland we have seen people that did not meet NSE request and got approved in just two weeks i think thread 18 has this story while people who met NSE requirements are waiting for months. Still on nairaland someone forgot to add SOP to his application and still got approved. No application is the same. Just be prayerful and keep hope alive. EmeeNaka: Getting scholarship doesn't remove the need for proof of Funds and proof of asset and establishment. He must post his bank statement showing that he is well established in his country. Because the Visa is a TRV, he is expected to return to his country after the study, so you must show them what will bring you back to your country. Bank statement and other asset are important way to show that you have been doing well in your country and not afraid of returning to your Country. So, let him/her package his bank statement and send to IRCC. Without Personal Bank Statement showing enough funds, because here you didn't say he has a Sponsor, he may be denied for lack of Personal assets and not being well established in his own country, regardless of the scholarship. |

It has finally ended in praise!!!
My brother's timeline
Age : 25 Program: Master of Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Bachelor's degree: Systems Engineering PS: He graduated with a second class lower (2.54/5)... God did it oo

Side story He initially submitted one MBS and a fixed deposit certificate from a different bank. So he submitted new MBS for both banks when the fixed deposit matured on June 4. He also submitted bank statement from a different bank which was not initially part of his application because he was afraid that from the time he submitted, exchange rate had increased. So in the LOE he submitted along with the MBS and bank statement, he explained that his sponsor had made extra funds available.
DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED - International Passport ( No travel history) -Digital Photo ( He submitted a regular picture not the correct specification... Lol) -All IMM forms -Letter of Acceptance
Client Information -Statement of Purpose - Pictures featuring in university exhibition -Bachelor's degree certificate -Product Management certificate -Project Management certificate -Waec Statement of result -IELTS result -NYSC Employment Letter -NYSC Certificate -Employment Contract -Salary Raise Letter -Company Recommendation Letter -Picture of Himself and colleagues -Resume -Police Character certificate -NIN slip -Family members' identification -Family land documents -Family pictures

NOTE -He did not submit his undergrad transcripts with his application because he felt it might not work in his favor. -He did not submit his birth certificate because the middle name on his birth certificate is different from the middle name on his international passport and other documents. -He did not get any ghost updates. - He only paid the required tuition deposit to get his LOA. He did not pay tuition for a semester or the full year.
For everyone waiting (myself included)... It will end in praise for all of us! |

A Big congratulations to you and your family. Wow. This is good news. March applicants, are we warming up? folla: Praise God!!!!
Hi Everyone,
I have been a silent reader all along and this post is on behalf of my wife.
She applied for Canadian study visa on 18/02/2021 and since then the waiting game started. This morning, she opened her mail and coincidentally, 2 emails dropped from IRCC within the space of about 3 minutes. Could it be the good news we all have been waiting for? The emails stated that there were messages to be checked in the profile.
We summoned the courage to check her profile and lo and behold, it was an approval! Both PPR and BvL came at about the same time. We thank God Almighty for the success.
A lot happened in-between the time of the application and PPR. She had sent several webforms seeking to know status of the application. IRCC always responded with the generic emails, starting with "under active review" and then later to "in process". Yet we kept faith alive. She also had to migrate her international passport into a new one, just because her old passport would expire early next year, whereas she will be going for a 2-year program. When she obtained the new passport (this process took about 6 weeks), she notified IRCC by webform. She had to also defer her admission from Summer to Fall of 2021 and she notified IRCC by webform.
Her timeline is as follows:
- Upfront Medical: 7/12/2020 at QLife - Applied: 18/02/2021 - Biometrics Request: 19/02/2021 - Biometrics done: 24/02/2021 - Medical Updated to Passed: 26/02/2021 -PPR and BvL: 3/06/2021
Her supporting documents are as follows:
Academic qualifications:
1) Offer and Letter of Admission for MSc Program at TRU, Canada. 2) Transcripts for 1st degree in Nigeria 3) Transcripts for 2nd degree in Nigeria 4) IELTS Result 5) WAEC Result 6) 6-page SOP 7) Certificate of Being on Dean's Honour's Rolls at undergraduate level
Employment:
1) Offer of Employment Letter. She works in a bank. 2) Reference Letter from Employer 3) Employment ID Card 4) Payslips for 6 months 5) Resume
Financial qualifications:
1) MyBank Statement from her for 1 year 2) MyBank Statement from husband for 1 year 3) Affidavit of Sponsorship from husband 4) Notarised Letter of Sponsorship from husband 5) Statement of Account of her Retirement Savings Account (RSA) 6) Funding Letter from her supervisors, to the tune of CA$20,000.00 7) Evidence of payment for a semester (CA$6,000)
Home Ties:
1) Birth Certificates of husband and the children; 2) Marriage Certificate 3) Business Name Registration Certificate of Husband's firm 4) Husband’s Offer of Employment Letter 5) Birth Certificates of my parents; 6) Offer of Employment Letter from Employer; 7) Statement of Account of Contributory Pension;
Statement of Account of Life Insurance Policy; 9) Land Purchase Agreement in respect of a plot of land; 10) Land Purchase Agreement in respect of plots of land; 11) Land Purchase Agreement in respect of plots of land; 12) Vehicle particulars of a car. 13) Membership Certificate of CIPM 14) Membership Certificate of Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria.
Other Documents:
1) Completed and signed IMM1294E and IMM5645E forms. 2) Police Character Certificate 3) Data page of International Passport 4) Passport photograph 5) Birth Certificate 6) NYSC Certificate
She is 39 years old and has 3 kids between 6-10. She was very anxious because of her age and also because she is seeking for a 2nd masters program. We weren't sure what IRCC would say to these.
The kids did not apply with her. They will apply for study permits as soon as her PP is stamped. I hope I am not leaving out any important info.
Nairaland has been a blessing to me and my family. Many thanks for the selfless service rendered by all the gurus on this thread. These efforts will return to you in blessings. I wish all study visa hopefuls, success. We shall all be congratulated at the end. The journey was tortuous, but she could not have given up. Please don't give up!
I do hope that this post has given fresh hope to someone on the journey. That is the essence.
With God all things are possible!!! |

Oluwahush98: Good evening house, am using an agent to process my study visa, I was told to provide my NSE before 1st of April, but I don't have IELTS and the bank account CERTIFICATE and my agent insist I provide them unless I will be disqualify. My question now is that will I be disqualify If I did not provide the NSE details
Please I need an urgent answer That's not true. You wont be disqualified, just that your application wont be processed via the NSE route but through the normal channel. Beware, of false information from your agent and ensure you have your application details yourself to monitor the progress of your application. Best wishes. |

Similarly, the questionnaire section with the question are you a recipient of a common wealth scholarship or a recipient of a full bursary covering all expenses from the Canadian International development agency or a participant in a Canadian aid program for developing countries? i think the question here does not incorporate school given funding so is the answer Yes or No to the questionnaire? a bit confused. House. I just read this few minutes ago. I don't think a police clearance certificate is required for a study permit application. With the information below, i am not applying for a PR and i am not declaring any criminal record. Who also shares my view?
Police certificate and IRCC requirements
You must provide a police character certificate when you apply for permanent residence in Canada.
You will also be requested to provide a police certificate to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) if you declared a criminal record on your application for an electronic travel authorization, work permit or study permit. |

Its a fully funded Ph.D with teaching assistantship position. I await my acceptance letter. However, i have some concerns please. 1. I heard paper application for study permit is not active now, that i can only apply online. how true is this? 2. With a fully funded Ph.D, i think i should be exempted from submitting any bank statement for proof of funds?. Lastly, the police clearance certificate how can i please apply for this ? Thanks. |

A police character certificate is not necessary for Nigerians? Can you please elucidate on this please. Secondly, what if i don't have up to a million naira in my bank account ? Could that automatically be a reason for denial ? Thirdly, as regards the medicals, is it important to go for the medicals even before applying for the visa. fratermathy: Congratulations on your admission to such a prestigious university. Feel free to ask any question you have concerning the study permit application process.
In addition to what others have already said concerning your questions, I just want to emphasize the fact that a police clearance certificate is not needed for a study permit application. If you want to go ahead and get one, that's a personal choice but Canada doesn't need one from Nigerians.
As for proof of funds, please attach a statement of account with at least N1,000,000 or get someone to gift you that amount or more and then explain in your SOP that the money will take care of travel costs and other miscellaneous expenses. Do well to establish strong home ties and show personal assets or job prospects. Canadian VOs do not make exceptions for anyone, even if you have all the funding in the world. Do your best to submit a tight application and rest assured that it'll be approved with ease. |
