Thanks. I was given a month. ChrisRocks: Congrats. Please can you confirm how long your visa is? And in response to your question, a single entry only allows you to enter the Schengen area once. So if you visit a Schengen country and then go to the UK for example, you can't enter the Schengen area again. |

Silent reader here.
So I'm a first time traveller to the Schengen area but a frequent traveller to other places eg UK, US, etc.
Timeline: Went for biometrics on 17 May Visa Issued 20 May Picked up today 24 May

With a single entry visa I can still visit multiple Schengen countries but can't leave and re-enter with the same visa abi? |

Essential travel from "Nigeria". It is open to all the Western countries for non-essential travel. I don't plan to travel from Nigeria but from the UK. I'm female by the way. rebless: Hello brother
Since Portugal is only open to essential travel then it means it cannot be your first port of entry invariably you cannot travel from portugal to France I’ll suggest you simply apply for a France visa you should fill the form online and follow up the process as directed |

Hello people,
Please I have 3 questions. 1. I want to fill an application for a Schengen visa through the French Embassy even though my first port of entry is Portugal. I'm still going to France from Portugal but Portugal first. Is that allowed?
2. I registered on the website for the French visa and I've filled the form. The only issue is that there is only space for one accommodation. Does it mean they don't want to know where else you might be staying?
3. I saw an option to download a form in Pdf and fill, is that really an option or can I only fill the online form?
P.s. The only reason I'm going through the French Embassy is because Portugal is only open for essential travel from Nigeria so I can't apply through there. Also I won't be travelling from Nigeria but from London so I figure that I won't have any issue travelling from London to Portugal. |

Update: Collected my Passport this morning with the visa issued (5yrs for mum and I). Timeline: Submission - 24 May Biometrics - 28 May Application Transferred - 28 May Application has arrived - 4 June Ready for Collection - 10 June Arbitrix: I uploaded my mum and I's supporting documents on the TLS website today and discovered I made a mistake. I uploaded one of my documents on my mum's profile instead of hers. Instead of uploading one of her account statements I uploaded mine.
Can I still pay for assisted service so that they can upload the correct document at the TLS office? Our appointment is on Friday. I'm so upset by this mistake. |

Thanks for responding. I'm just glad there's a way out. giselle237: have you already clicked submit ? I am guessing yes... u can pay 12k only with bank card on the day of biometrics for the upload. Cash not allowed. I have heard some people that had slight issues and brought it to the attention of the staff and it was corrected——> some didn't have to pay, some had to... but these were either name corrections and its likes Just have the money in your debit card and when she gets there, let her explain first if there’s a way for this to be added without payment for 1 document(I doubt).. if the request is not granted then she should pay.
If u have not clicked submit, u can delete the document and reupload what u want |

I approve this message a 100%. Chips101: There is no curse, no bitterness, no personal attack. I simply held a mirror up to his behaviour. The truth will not coddle you, or make you feel good about the awful choices you make. The strong reaction many are having to this? That emotion is called shame (a painful emotion caused by consciousness of guilt, shortcoming, or impropriety), and it is the way we hold people accountable for wrongdoing. That's why the truth hurts.
Someone who lies, cheats, and commits fraud (intentional deception to secure unfair or unlawful gain) is a criminal, and a criminal is not a good person, and he or she should feel ashamed. We should not normalise this behaviour or trivialise it at all. Because someone else will see his story and follow his footsteps, and because we as a community have not condemned it, they will think that this rubbish is okay.
The deportation is simply the legal ramification of his fraudulent actions. Or do we now condone rewarding illegality? Do we hope that they flourish, thanks to their crime? By the logic of what some have stated in response, when your car gets stolen, we will simply say, "Well, the thief tried different ways to obtain the car legally, but since he couldn't, he had to steal the car and he should keep it and do well."
We are supposed to BE BETTER and DO BETTER. We ought to hold ourselves and others accountable for their actions because as a nation, we rise and fall TOGETHER. We have to care for our selves as a collective, not just me and mine.
The consequences of his actions are that of the dropbox palaver we have experienced... i.e. the cessation of the program. OP's actions do not occur in isolation. There are real life consequences and ramifications thanks to the tens of thousands of people who have done what he did. Can't get a visa even with a legit cause? Thank people like the OP. No close visa dates thanks to increased background checks? Thank people like Watj. Valid asylum seekers are drowning with their children at the land border, children are held in cages with inadequate food and sanitation, abused and getting killed, OP and people like him add fuel to the idiotic fire that justify the inhumanity going on at the US borders.
The very things you complain about are the caused by actions like Watj has taken. He is selfish and irresponsible and I won't let him or anyone else feel good about themselves for being that way. |

Don't mind him! Instead he's asking for tips on how to avoid being banned. Beautyaddy: Huh
What kind of mistake and being sober is that?
I don't believe you're trying to make excuses for him when it's obvious he already stated that he knows that his family is living in the US illegally.
If you claim that he's sober and made a mistake then he should make efforts to get his family back to Nigeria by all means. |

I hope you get banned. You're one of the problems! Making things difficult for genuine applicants. Wajt: She is not idle and my kids are in school already. Presently, they are illegals but that won't be for long. I just need ideas to ensure I don't get banned or turned back at POE |

Travel › Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Arbitrix: 9:16am On May 29, 2019 |
Leave him! Let him be copying and pasting without deductive reasoning! fkj950ax: I am quoting your research.
On your DS160, you wrote that you work at XYZ as ABC and earn 123 monthly. You want a B1/B2 visa for holiday (3 weeks) or attend a conference/workshop (5 days) or you just need a break (4 weeks).
At the interview, you stick to either of this story.
At PoE, you repeat this story again.
Then you get in and spend 6 months.
What happens to your job at XYZ, even if you are the CEO? You earn 123 and definitely cannot keep earning 123 monthly if you are gone for 6 months How do you survive(food, house, drugs, clothes, phone calls, transport etc etc) in the 6 months, because at PoE, you declared 456 as money available to you.
Explain this. without forgetting the "time that is fair and reasonable for the completion of the purpose of the visit"
PS. Other well meaning NL reading, kindly ignore the suggestion made to stay behind 6 months because CBP stamped 6 months at PoE. |
