You should concern yourself more on how to be a better dog owner and command an undivided loyalty of your dogs rather than rating their purity. I head a unit of a coy which gives little or no room for leisure. Not trying to blow my own trumpet but just want u to understand how tight my schedule could be.

I leave home 5am on a daily basis and don't get back till 11:30pm on most occasions. And my weekends too are always tied to family functions and visits...

It's not the amount of time you spend with your dogs that matters, all that matters is the quality of time. Get your priorities right, put all necessary things in place, build a chemistry with them...The little time you spend with them, just make it worthwhile...I'm not disputing the fact that it's very necessary to spend time with ur dogs, all i'm saying is that your busy schedule isn't a criteria, all that matters is what you really feel for them...

Bro, if you look in the right places, only then can you find the answers you seek...There are a lot of renowned GSD breeders in Nigeria and I can proudly say they have dogs of equal standards with our African counterparts. I'm not negating the fact that there are a lot of roadside breeders over here, but if you know where to look, you'll sure find the pure beds.

Bro...I believe no one has a monopoly of knowledge, we live to learn and we learn to live....but if in the process, a particular clique begins taking offense, don't u think the right thing is to stay low? I learn everyday, I take cues from little things.my greatest aim is to pass the little I know onto other pet lovers, just the same way I learn too...I just don't want to get caught up in another e-war.

This goes to pet owners, newbies and starters...Whatever you do, do not do raw if you are not learned on the methodologies...Raw feeding has its dangers if it's not done right, yet some dudes have advised you do raw foetus, that's totally wrong, it has a lot more harm than good...

I'm not taking sides here, neither do i have the time to start trading words...Just thot i shld drop this.

They can easily give you advices and opinions, but they will never offer to help you when trouble looms...Please feed your pet what you can eat...

OP...I'll be blunt here, please take no offense because I mean none.

Firstly, this is a nice prospect I must confess, but be sure you're doing it for the love for them and not for ROI.

Secondly, you're a starter, you shouldn't be after populating your kennel, rather you shld be after quality and the maintenance of standards. You need to consider the risk of transfer of infection. Sure you can't understand what I mean now, but soon you'll get to know the risks involved. It's better you have few dogs with an unquestionable and undisputable purity than having many dogs from impure lineage.

Thirdly, you need to get a whole lot of things right before going large scale. Feeding, medication, time, quarantine measures, etc

Fourthly, I'd advice you get the attention of an expert, one who you can always call on in trouble, someone who has an undivided loyalty for you.
